The mini mush is amazing, here is 5 reasons why: 1) Floaty and high jumps allow for fun kazoo especially with... 2) The so-called downside of not being able to kill enemies with a jump. However this means we can treat any enemies like a wiggler without have to enemy stack and could lead to fun ride lakitu, etc levels. 3) In the newer games the mini mush has the ability to run up walls and with this and it's floaty wall jumps, vertical level possibilities are HUGE. 4) It runs on water so you could have a don't get hit level where you have 2 paths. In the jungle theme, there would be a walking path and a swimming path, ground pounds do allow for swimming but this powerup can work in all styles. 5) Finally as you said it opens up many new secrets, and ik both you and I love to hide and find secrets. Edit: Look, I don't mean to be that kind of person but, 'Look Mum I'm Famous!!'
I don't get why powerup kaizo levels are rare. People are just used to the classic I guess, in playing and designing. Maybe mini mushroom would get some attention, like the level of the 3d world head power ups. I would like to see an ice flower kaizo that isn't ridiculously hard. I even did a propeller suit kaizo myself with a target clear rate of 0.5-1%, maybe 0.25% at worst and it's 0.03% because holy frick people are disinterested in learning new moves (but someone will always snatch first clear)
For the wario cap, I think it would be like link, but it would give wario his signature charge attack and probably a ground pound. Also, they probably wouldn't keep it as his cap and would likely change it to something like garlic.
You said that the Ice Flower is the next power up in line for the NSMBU style, but honestly, I think it'd work even better if it was available for all styles. You may not be able to grab frozen enemies in all of them, but even then it'd still open up a ton of possibilities in all styles. And I know the Ice Flower wasn't created before new soup, but so is the case with items like bumpers and one way walls. Also, I think you weren't giving quite enough credit to the mini mushroom. It could be a nice opportunity to bring mini enemies and pipes, small passages that can only be accessed with the mini mushroom, and maybe even more. And it could serve as a way to give the player an optional challenge by giving them a mini mushroom (as it's one of the few power ups that actually make you more fragile), and rewarding them by having one of those small passages I mentioned before that leads to a room with rewards (or having it be obligatory to keep the power up in order to reach the end). It has quite some potential to be a great power up. Edit: also, I think it'd be kinda neat to get the power up from smb2 that freezes enemies for some time. It doesn't really qualify for this list, but I just thought I'd mention it.

Am I the only one that thinks the screen wrapping mechanic (you go out one side of the screen and come out the other) sounds like something that fits PERFECTLY in mario maker as a night version of one theme? They could make it that in horizontal levels you come out on the celling when falling trough the floor and in vertical levels it happens with left and right.
The Invincibility Leaf could be used in Super Worlds, as a option in case a player wants to complete the world but not really play all the stages. It could be useful in Kaizo Worlds at least, and considering how much people get stuck in Super Worlds (at least as far I can tell) and Super Worlds are gonna definitely be a bigger part of Mario Maker 3, I would make a A tier of how likely is to appear, or at least something similar
I would like if you were be able to put the number of how many deaths it would require for the block with this power up and also place decide where to place the block (that block would look different from other question mark blocks)

If it were to be added id say a question screen is best, but there should be a "dont ask again" checkmark that only allows the "no" option to be chosen (this implies the player either doesnt want it at all, or for a period of time, before it reappears)
4:11 If you collect Yoshi's wings, then beat the level, you can then have a purple Yoshi for the REST OF THE GAME if you don't lose it! The good thing about that is that EVERY shell, not just blue shell, makes you fly!
I would imagine the Wario Cap as the Garlic Bulb that turns the player into Wario (of course) and give him the ground pound, grab n' throw, and shoulder bash from Wario Land. Maybe even give him transformations based off of what enemy he interacts with.
I was confused when he didn't mention the dash, it's the iconic quintessential Wario Land move! The sort of freeform dash and jump platforming from it could be really neat.
Congrats on 100k, you deserve it I just wanted to give my personal opinion: - Hammer Bros Suit: I very much agree with how much I'd love to see it being added to the game, although thrown just a bit less high and faster (and faster throws like when running and shooting a fireball) - The vanish ability looks super interesting and the going through the one-ways idea just convinced me even more that we NEED this power-up, probably because I like puzzles - I really LOVE the golden flower, without the mini-explosion I think it would make for a really cool power-up, it definitely is super satisfying seeing everything turn into coins, plus it would work super well with the coin clear condition - For the mini-mushroom, I think it is also a really cool power-up that I would really like, I like the mechanics, ground pounding is not a down side imo, and running up walls is cool too - I don't want the mega mushroom to ever happen lol, destroying a whole stage like that just seems really unfun, I can't see this power-up being used well even in the best of hands - Cherry power-up seems really cool, although I agree it should be limited to only 2 clones per player, as for multiplayer sure it would be chaos but I think it would be in a good way if nintendo implemented the outline color idea (A specific color outline for the player we control would be cool to not forget which player we play btw) - I believe power-ups in Super Mario Galaxy (not 2) would all be great for their own gamestyle, except for the red star power-up - If they implement ice flower / penguin suit, I could see an ice yoshi being implemented at the same time too
I swear if they add ice yoshi before adding a blue and yellow one I'll be a bit salty. Plus, I want red yoshi to work like it used to instead of endlessly breathing fire. I want the colored koopas to work in tandem with them. Red yoshi eats blue shell? You can fly then when you spit it out you breath fire, How awesome is that? Imagine the platforming concepts for that!

I just thought of a scenario where you platform up to a key or something using semi-solids and when you get the key, you are also forced to get the cap and you must now find the alternate way back across the semi-solids, otherwise you fall through and perish
I could see the peach crown being added because it could become like the link suit but for other styles, essentially adding a new character, I would say give it all the abilities of SMB2 peach in SMB1 style, and then vary peaches float in other styles, and in NSMBU style they could switch the power up for a Daisy flower, and give her the double jump ability from Super Mario Run.
Also for SMB1, there’s the three very obscure powerups from the very obscure Super Mario Bros. Special. Despite this, they’re quite simple. One of them was a stopwatch that froze all enemies, one was a wing that allowed you to swim in the air, and one was the hammer from Donkey Kong (I believe, might be misremembering). These also have appeared in future entries, like the Yoshi wings in SMW and the hammer (since it’s from the Donkey Kong games, which are much more well known.) I’d say that these wings, the P wing and the Yoshi Wings could be merged into one
I actually think fludd would be interesting. It would only come if there was a sunshine theme, but mario 63 shows how surprisingly well it works in 2d. Easy s for want, but only c for likely

I was so disappointed when I heard Mystery Mushrooms wouldn't return in SMM2. It was a large part of the fun for me in the original, being able to transform into so many characters, including every character in Smash 4. It put me on the fence on whether to buy SMM2 or not, though I eventually decided to buy it. Even if they can't get the rights to all the characters in the original, I would still like to see it, and Nintendo still has lots of first-party characters to use. Maybe if you touch a Fire Flower as Super Mario Land 2's Bunny Mario, you turn into Super Mario Land 2's Fire Mario sprite with a feather on his cap and gray fireballs, though the fireball's arc won't change.
I think the giga mushroom could actually be really cool if you were also able to make normal enemies giga sized as well. They could be really interesting since it would basically let normal enemies be turned into miniboss battles

My man really just put in the WarioWare cap and didn’t say “he plays like Wario Land”, instead choosing to create a new move set for a 2D Platforming Wario.
I just want more playable characters and for them to have actual gameplay differences. Don’t care how annoying it would be for clear checks or multiplayer, just give me Peach with her float and DK with his roll. Think it would be the number one thing they could do to give the game a distinct identity (besides going 3D of course) compared to how lackluster of a leap forward MM2 was.
I feel like spring mushroom would be great fro 2d levels. I know it was extremely hard to control in Galaxy, but I see the it can work in 2d levels. Also congrats on 100k subs Odyssey Get rankin
I think that Mario Maker 3 has a good chance of being Mario Maker 3D and coming out on whatever the next generation of Nintendo console is. Imagine the amount of sales it would draw as a launch title if it allowed you to design 3D levels in the Mario 64, Galaxy, and Odyssey styles along with other current Mario Maker things(like multiple players!).
3:31 Funny how the newer team brought the hammer suit back in newer wii and newer ds. It's more prevalent in ROM HACKS then the official games! 12:10 What's cool is the newer team merged the blue shell with the hammer suit in newer ds which meant you became an actual hammer bro! nintendo....just hire the newer team allready....they could make you a lot of money by porting newer wii and ds to the switch.
If a Wario cap meant that we could get Wario Land like levels in SMM3, I would be so happy. Wario Land 4 is one of my favorite games ever, and I'm so sad we haven't seen the franchise since the Wii.
Pretty sure the mystery mushroom wasn't added in 2 because it was just too many sprites being added with no differences that probably made the devs think it was pointless to add back. Plus since a costume was unlocked for EVERY amibo at the time they'd probably have an obligation to add new costumes for every new amibo and as a result probably making them even more hesitant to add it back because there'd be even more sprites to make from scratch with no effect.
For the tier list of ennemies, I think that the kab-ombs would be a great choice. It's like the bob-ombs, but when they get hit by a fire source, they will act very differently. It would be a good alternative.

I think the gold coin flower deserves to go higher. A Mitus Touch power that potentially could destroy your walkway if you use it too much would compliment "Don't get Greedy" levels in Mario Maker and let makes design similar levels without being restricted by P-Switch mechanics.
Personally i would love for them to add the mini mushroom to mario maker 3 because people could make very interesting use out of it, especially while talking about bossfights. For example fight a coopaling while using the minimushroom. It would make it harder and super interesting.
i think it would make sense to add the tree stump from 3D land. the one that you can ground pond to destroy/squish. you could probably add stuff like power ups, coins, keys and other stuff.
I would like to see SMM3 adding more power-ups to enemies, like I'd like to be able to give Bowser the Builder Suit in 3D World which would give him a hammer attack and letter him build flaming boxes for defense, or let's introduce the carrot to SMB1 as suggested and then give it to goombas which would add a permafloat falling speed (sorta like the parachute just permanent,) introducing the mini mushroom could let you turn all enemies into their mini counterparts.
For the giga bell, they would probably scale it down a lot, to maybe Mario being 4x4 tiles, instead of the size of the level. If they added it, of course.
Ice Flower would probably be an alternate Fire Flower so the Ice Flower could be in all main styles, and that way we could have both the Ice Flower & Penguin Suit in SMM3. Or at least save on power-up slots in NSMBU style.
as I said in the comments of your last video, it's possible penguin suit gets added in as a setting for ice flower instead of them being separate things

I’m going to have to counter Dry-Bones for smash and say Koopa for smash with Dry-Bones as a costume. That would increase its likelihood and many moves could be made bone themed for Dry-Bones.
I feel like the coin block from NSMB2 could actually be a cool secret to hide like big coins or 1-ups,you find it either in an area or as a normal brick and you feel rewarded for searching for it,plus it also provides a good reward for keeping it the whole time.
I think with Blue Yoshi, you don't have to swallow a shell because Red Yoshi had to in the original but he can do it (spit fire) on his own in Mario maker. So Blue Yoshi will have wings 24/7.
Honestly i think mario maker 3 is the perfect chance to make 3d lvls they made game builder garage it’s basically similar So i think the retro styles are gonna be gone but they can the odyssey retro pipes to make up for it

Hammer suit definitely makes sense for SMB3 in SMM3. I would be so hyped to see it return.

I think that Mario Maker 3 has a good chance of being Mario Maker 3D and coming out on whatever the next generation of Nintendo console is. Imagine the amount of sales it would draw as a launch title if it allowed you to design 3D levels in the Mario 64, Galaxy, and Odyssey styles along with other current Mario Maker things(like multiple players!).

If a Wario cap meant that we could get Wario Land like levels in SMM3, I would be so happy. Wario Land 4 is one of my favorite games ever, and I'm so sad we haven't seen the franchise since the Wii.
Pretty sure the mystery mushroom wasn't added in 2 because it was just too many sprites being added with no differences that probably made the devs think it was pointless to add back. Plus since a costume was unlocked for EVERY amibo at the time they'd probably have an obligation to add new costumes for every new amibo and as a result probably making them even more hesitant to add it back because there'd be even more sprites to make from scratch with no effect.

For the tier list of ennemies, I think that the kab-ombs would be a great choice. It's like the bob-ombs, but when they get hit by a fire source, they will act very differently. It would be a good alternative.
This is definitely one of my most anticipated games. If it is going to happen at some point of course.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Mimi mushroom and ice flower's prevalence in the movie causes them to be used in later games

I think the gold coin flower deserves to go higher. A Mitus Touch power that potentially could destroy your walkway if you use it too much would compliment "Don't get Greedy" levels in Mario Maker and let makes design similar levels without being restricted by P-Switch mechanics.
Personally i would love for them to add the mini mushroom to mario maker 3 because people could make very interesting use out of it, especially while talking about bossfights. For example fight a coopaling while using the minimushroom. It would make it harder and super interesting.

i think it would make sense to add the tree stump from 3D land. the one that you can ground pond to destroy/squish. you could probably add stuff like power ups, coins, keys and other stuff.

I think a galaxy style would be awesome for mario maker, being able to play with gravity and all of the great mechanics in that game would be so cool
yeah! They could tie gravity to semi solids, and they don't need to worry about spheroid planets.
specific semisolids... regular semisolids could exist. OH and letting on offs flip polarity IF YOU WANT could be neat too.
I would like to see SMM3 adding more power-ups to enemies, like I'd like to be able to give Bowser the Builder Suit in 3D World which would give him a hammer attack and letter him build flaming boxes for defense, or let's introduce the carrot to SMB1 as suggested and then give it to goombas which would add a permafloat falling speed (sorta like the parachute just permanent,) introducing the mini mushroom could let you turn all enemies into their mini counterparts.

Ice Flower would probably be an alternate Fire Flower so the Ice Flower could be in all main styles, and that way we could have both the Ice Flower & Penguin Suit in SMM3.
Or at least save on power-up slots in NSMBU style.

I feel like the coin block from NSMB2 could actually be a cool secret to hide like big coins or 1-ups,you find it either in an area or as a normal brick and you feel rewarded for searching for it,plus it also provides a good reward for keeping it the whole time.

I think with Blue Yoshi, you don't have to swallow a shell because Red Yoshi had to in the original but he can do it (spit fire) on his own in Mario maker.
So Blue Yoshi will have wings 24/7.
