Going out today. Going to try and catch my over 40 northern pike. In minus 17 fishing from shore wish me luck. Using my perch cedar bait i finished.

@@dombullock8885 well never again will i try to fish from shore in the middle of winter waist deep snow and a crazy long walk to the water and back and not even a bite. Didnt use my hooks 15 ft ice shelf from shore to edge of water crankbaits kept catching the ice. And i wasnt ready yet to lose mine.

I remember the first time I went trolling for musky with my dad and he pulled out some monster lures and I thought is there anything big enough out here to hit this biggest lures I’ve used to date I hit multiple species and I hooked onto a nice musky oooh man it came to the top though and was heading straight towards the boat it was a monster just like the ones I seen in the marina shop trophies this was at lake okaboji in Iowa always was great fishing and I made a rookies error of a lifetime with a fish of a lifetime I let slack to pull up again and it got off that lure and I was heart broken still having ptsd today from the even aaahh what was that heard a splash lol
