Hope you guys don’t stop making videos. Even though I am not the one catching the fish it makes my day. You guys do great work keep it up!
Jeremy Newhouse, thanks for sharing with us.
It blows my mind that all these bass anglers have so many subscribers and you guys don’t. I love your channel you guys deserve 300k. I started fishing for bass and now I basically only fish musky bc of your videos! Keep it up!!!
I can't wait to get mine chewed this coming 2021 muskie opener , these Ottawa skies are gonna go nuts, lee you rock man.
Always innovating, can’t wait to get my hands on one!
Awesome design like no other bait out there! Proven Giant catcher. Congrats LEE
Fantastic lure, it was great to be able to net that 56 incher for you Lee. Experience of a lifetime. I know it works!!
Thank you guys! Was an awesome moment together. Wish it would have been one of you guys. Next time!
Always making the craziest looking lures man but they seem to kill it. can't wait till my knee is better and I'm back to work so I can afford some of them lol. Keep up the good videos, you guys quickly have became one of my favourite channels.
Thanks for watchin!
I made essentially the same lure 20 years ago. When I was about 13-14 years old, I would create lures on a wood lathe in my basement. Only difference between mine and yours is the skirt was on the back. Also, I weighted each protoype to run at different depths. My reasoning was same as yours -- so I didn't have to reel as fast to stay above weeds -- but also so I could make small sized bucktails that casted far on standard musky tackle. Probably caught more Musky's on that invention than the rest of my lures combined. Live in Florida now, but still use them when I visit WI in the summer.
Hi Lee. Big fan here! I used to make the Musky Snax baits back a few years ago now. Have you tried adding a large single hook on the rear with a big white twister tail as a teaser? Just thought it might add a little extra something when the fish are being finicky! You make great baits and I love your channel!
I’m going up to Canada next week and plan to fish day and night, I plan to fish the boilermaker a lot but last year we had great success fishing side to side top waters and water choppers, what baits should I throw at night? The weeds are almost to the surface, fishstick, waterchopper, or flaptail, for night fishing along with the boilermaker?
Only one word to describe this.... insane.
Just ordered one. Gonna be hitting Monona at nights as much as I can this year.
Hey Lee I love the look of your lures do you offer any multiple item discounts?
Taylor Moradian, thanks. Afraid not. They are running out fast.
TOP O' MY XMAS LIST!
Really digging this lure, Lee!! Love the versatility! Nice work!!
Burnin Eights, thanks guys.
Love you guys! You got me into musky fishing! I have a small (200acre) lake near me with 50 inchera in it but I can't find them. Any advice on where to fish this time of year?
serious question... how do you know there are 50 inchers if you haven't found them?
SlumpBuster Tackle uhh because I have seen other people pull out giants in nets while getting bait
The lake record on a lure is 49.5 inches but 2 trophies have been netted so I know there's more
Luke Wheeler, need to know about the lake:depth, forage, bottom make up. Usually more hard bottom and somewhat deeper in fall.
Lee and Robbie, thanks for the info I will try that! I live in Virginia, Lake is relatively shallow(deepest spots maybe 20-30ft at damned end) has a variety of habitats including hard bottom structure, manmade pallet houses, grassy flats etc. forage is typical(shad, yellow perch, bluegill, bass, walleye, maybe a trout here or there). There are main points, short ledges, mostly big grassy flats and coves that are silt bottom with some laydowns etc. Anything helps guys! I've been bass fishing all my life but never targeted musky till I saw your vids! Those fish are awesome definitely want to get one in the net!
What brand/lb test leader would you recommend for musky?
There isn't a universal, one size fits all, muskie leader. It depends upon what material the leader is made from and also to a degree what kind of lure it's going to be used with. I suggest that you Google, or UA-cam, search: solid wire muskie leaders, sevenstrand wire muskie leaders, and fluorocarbon muskie leaders. That will be the fastest way for you to get info on the different types of leaders, how they're made, what size to use, and what lure to use them with.
It's an easy question to ask but much harder and more detailed to answer in a short comment here.
I would recommend a Stealth Tackle 130lb fluorocarbon leader for most instances, maybe 100lb for smaller baits. Or just a 100lb sevenstrand steel is fine too overall.
Yeah, but glide baits work better with a solid wire leader.
Pete Maina uploaded a video afew hours ago on this very subject.

Where can we get these in Canada?
LeeLures.com
You guys kill it!!!
Throw it on the opener? I'm stuck on small lures but have always been told don't be fraid son!
Yes
Now I know why the loon one is always out of stock at the muskie shop.
Nice looking lure. how come no footage of an actual catch on this bait in your video, or even a follow...?
does it come in multiple sizes?
Just one size right now.
What kind of rod was he using
It looks like a shimano soljorn
Jayden Petersen Assault Sticks from Esox Assault
The new 9'6" Chaos Tackle S.W.A.T. Assault Stick.
Now that I was able to get a boiler maker at the musky shop I invite you and Robbie to my private lake just outside of Eagle River Wis. 400 acre musky heaven. Tuff to get them to bite artificial lures since there are Cisco's keeping these monsters fat.
Ok...shoot us a message!
Deadly
Not to dis your great lure, just seems a bit stiff in the tail end, maybe a jointed version next?
Paul Coenen, putting a joint in the bait would ruin the thump and make it harder to cast.
💯💪👊LET'S GO!!!
Looks like a great bait. Sell a bunch!
Cold u pop that bait like a popper
fish strikers, not sure never tried? I bet you could use it like a jerkbait though.
Todays Angler ill try to mack one amd try it
i need afew..
I'd be tempted to move the skirt from the nose of the bait to the tail of the bait over the rear hook. To my eye it looks like the lure body prevents the skirt from flaring out and kills its action. Otherwise, that's a great looking lure and a great concept. Be a good lure for a beginner to throw as they pick out their backlashes.
MsPrincesspaulina I see what you mean about the skirt but I’d have to say I like it in front for the deeper belly/fat profile look. Either way it’s pretty sweet.
To each their own, I guess.
You could still move the skirt back and just make the lure body with a bigger diameter, to give you that fat profile look, and compensate the internal body weight.
MsPrincesspaulina, the skirt doesn't flare out much because it's a single blade which doesn't create the vortex behind the blade like doubles.
That maybe be true. I don't use the double blade lures much. I know my single blade natural hair bucktails pulse more than this does.
I'm not trying to start a argument nor am I knocking your new lure, Lee. It was just something I noticed and thought I'd make the suggestion. Try it with one lure and see if the skirt has more pulse and movement.
Another thought I had was to put the blade behind the lure body or even have 2 blades, 1 in front of the body and another behind with the skirt in back.
Why don't you make the bait then Paulina
And i ment whoops
You have literally been sold out of 10” baits for two years now it’s bullshit
10" What?
