March 23rd marks the 5th birthday of teh Triforce podcast! 5 years or 2 dads and an overgrown child talking repetitive shit for our entertainment. Things from baby and child talk, travel adventures, the birth of Bodega, the 99.1 - 99.9 episodes leading up to Yogcon, the legendary birth of shanaenae from sips the monk, Lewis' gym going adventure, and everything in between. Thank you Pyrion, Sips and Lewis for 5 years of the best podcast I've ever listened to! I was there for the first podcast and I love how you're still going with this. It's done wonders for you 3 and for the yogscast so please don't stop this podcast!!!! Much love
Lewis or one of the guys should read on Wikipedia about a guy called Joshua Norton, and talk about it on the podcast! It definitely seems like something they'd have fun talking about. The guy was crazy and declared himself Emperor of the United States while living in San Francisco in the late 1800s, and everyone in San Francisco just kinda went along with it for fun (even though they knew he was crazy). He even wrote to world leaders and met Pedro II, the Emperor of Brazil. When he died, around 10,000 estimated people attended his funeral in San Francisco. There's a ton of crazy stuff that involved him that's surprising, that's just a few lol. This will never reach them, but just in case, I hope they talk about it sometime if they find it interesting :)
For a guy who is on the internet constantly and interacts with people from around the world, Sips increasingly seems like the guy from a tiny provincial island who only interacts with other people from said tiny provincial island. "Why would I want to see a picture of somebody naked whom I'm dating! I could just get porn!" Sheesh!

To answer Pyrions lewd photo questions: A solicited pic is acceptable sometimes! If you're doing the online flirty business it can be nice, but it's gotta be a good pic or cheeky! Don't just send a pic of you strangling your member 🙄 😂 but the majority of the time most ladies I know aren't into the dirty pic 😂
You know who could’ve benefited from a conversation about when it is appropriate to send nudes vs when and how it is not? Sjin. Good on you for trying to be appropriate and not sexually manipulative

There 100% is pressure to send nudes and stuff nowadays. If you refuse people know that a part of it is being cautious about them being released, and then it's a question of "you don't trust me?" Unfortunately, people hear that and feel like they're damaging their relationship if they don't send nudes, and then they do, and then of course the people putting that pressure on you are the same people who would be so possessive and mean spirited to release them as some kind of punishment to you if and when you "betray" them in some other way
29:07 reminds me of every time I've tried asking a girl for a date. I skip texting and say "hey would you like to go grab a coffee together?" They always seem to be busy or have boyfriends...
I think the main reason why people want nudes is because it progresses the relationship to another level for me at least I gain no enjoyment from a nude it’s just a stepping point in the relationship
I think the takeaway from the revenge porn story is not “don’t send nudes”, it’s “men and society should be better.” Men should know better than to circulate revenge porn and society shouldn’t blame the victim.
@@NoPageProductions there’s a difference between “men should know better than violating any woman they dislike for any reason” and “have some common sense with what you do”

@@NoPageProductions I mean, it's my personal opinion that it's better to not send those pictures, but I also think that's up to the person to decide their own risk acceptance level. But when someone gets hit by a drunk driver, we don't tell them they shouldn't drive at night, or near bars. We blame the one who was drunk. And if someone's valuables are stolen, we do want the thief to be arrested and for the stolen items to be returned. And where's the line for being careful? Are you required to lock your house if you're running next door for 5 minutes? Do you have to unplug every appliance to prevent potential fires? Is it irresponsible to have an hour-long commute because driving is so dangerous? Different people will have different answers for exactly where they draw that line for themselves, and that's fine. Yeah, it's good to be careful, and it's fair to recommend it, but the blame should still be squarely on the person who committed the crime. That's where we should keep the focus.

I'd take it a step back and argue the shift from the hunter-gatherer lifestyle to agriculture (and the subsequent formation of society) was the first and worst mistake
It is undeniable, I think, that most people simply do not consider the actual magnitude of the fact that we live in a Post-Industrial world. This, of course, is to the benefit of the prevailing ideology of our time. Over the past roughly three centuries, this ideology spread like a plague through Europe, and then largely from Europe out to the rest of the world. The full nature of this ideology, its motives and its effects, I will touch on soon. But what can be said now is that one of the foremost vices promoted by this ideology is hedonism: the terrible pretense that it is Man’s destiny, his prime motive above all else, to seek the most base and superficial pleasures until the end of his days, a vile utilitarianism where the only moral principle is that of the accumulation of this pleasure. Driven by this prevailing ideology, I do not find it so hard to believe that if one were to pry into most people’s thoughts, they would think that the average life before our Post-Industrial world was little more than dull, hard, short, and most importantly, certainly not pleasurable in the way our modern, civilised world can be.
As a woman this episode was pretty out of touch. Don’t share other people’s nudes! They did not consent to you sharing them. The mentality you shouldn’t have is “just don’t take the pictures” you should be focused on the people that thought they had the right to share them. What you are doing is victim blaming
It's easy to say people shouldn't send other's pics without consent but it's delusional to think it doesn't happen and an exclamation point doesn't stop it. Call it victim blaming or whatever but people should be wary of what they sent and the possible consequences if it's released, not saying people who share aren't pieces of shit but I don't think they care how they're thought of.
If you don't believe a god exists say so! Mark 'No religion'. Census data has been used to justify things like faith schools and bishops in the House of Lords. For the non-religious people who write in terms like 'atheist', 'humanist', or even 'Jedi'. You are making it easier for lobbyist to cherry pick. #TickNoReligion
