I feel a lot of Matt’s points are just his opinions, especially when talking about space and aesthetics. I actually think the boot space looks good and the interior also looks nice.
I was not a ford guy, but now will always have ford. Why? Bought a 2011 fusion for 3900$. Went to junkyard and bought a navigation unit for 65$ and installed it by my self. It rides smooth and few things which are easy to fix including oil change. I also have a 2 series with dinan package, but fusion is daily driver and cant ask for better for the money.
Matt we enjoy your videos and we own a Kuga which we enjoy looking to upgrade in the future and from your videos notice that full independent or active suspension is now an option on many of the Kuga s competitors Worth a mention in your video is that many folk buy SUVs because of the condition of the UK roads Us older folk enjoy the higher seating position and easy access too.
Totally agree.he always slags off cheaper cars and clearly only likes expensive cars.only annoying thing about this car is the prick driving it.saying that I have one and the petrol consumption is dire.really dire
CJ X - I was the same until I took it for a test drive. Smooth ride. Minimal (if any) road noise. Good seating position and nice elevation. The floor can be made flat as well so don’t be put off by his un-researched review. Also the parcel shelf can be stowed away too. It comfortably seats 3 adults as well in the rear and there’s plenty of head clearance too. I think these reviewers need to do their research as there were plenty of features that he didn’t mention. Surely that’s the whole point of a review? I’m not interested if “Kuga” means “plague” I just want an unbiased and honest review of how the car actually drives! It’s clear that he’s not a Ford fan and a bit of a badge snob. I would recommend that you watch several reviews on call this car and take it for a test drive too. It’s going to be my next car for sure. Hope this helps
The exterior looks okay, but interior looks hideous with that recessed touchscreen and cheap looking plastics. Do a review with the new Mazda CX-5, now thats a gorgeous looking SUV from every way.
Attila Kovács a Volvo XC60 is a much better car, than both of the Mzda and the Ford. I mean the Ford is the worst of these 3 cars, the Mazda is amazing and comfie, but my fav is the Volvo. By the way don't you think, that 2 Hungarian chatting in English is a bit ridicolous?
@ Mat: If you check the video on 4:35, you can see there are these little parallelogram bulges that can be used to raise the boot floor. This way you can have a flat loading bay
If you buy one without a reversing camera you can't always have a genuine ford reversing camera fitted afterwards because apparently our 2019 head unit doesn't have anywhere to plug it in
He actually makes a lot of sense, newer rivals are better in most areas: practicality, build quality, entertainment system, driving dinamics, comfort. Just watch the Skoda Kodiak review, it beats the Kuga at all those categories. I love Fords, but the Kuga is just older than it's rivals.
We were thinking about either getting a Hyundai Tucson or a Ford Kuga and I am so glad we chose the Tucson. It is simply the better car. I really love the Ford Edge and the new Ford Fiesta tho.
I think that this review was not appropriate for this car. The only "non-exaduration" was the position of the screen which is truly uncomfortable. Otherwise, you made an unsurprisingly boring and not Faire for this car review. At least for my taste

I always see what you have to say about what I'm thinking about getting. and twice now I'm so glad i never really took on board anything negative you have to say. last car Peugeot 2008 diesel lovely car never let me down in three years . Today took ownership of a 18 plate 1.5 ford Kuga titanium tdci . and i have to say . I LOVE IT.
0:48 that's Master Chief from Halo.
i've never played Halo and i know that.
Mazder_ master chief approves your comment
Mazder_ i think he knows that
Mazder_ I see Master Chief, I like the video.
i don't think he knows that
Mazder_ why wouldnt he, i mean he probably didnt just randomly google search "character from a video game that looks like ford kuga's dashboard", did he?
That dog is me when i see the car.
Dead inside
I feel a lot of Matt’s points are just his opinions, especially when talking about space and aesthetics. I actually think the boot space looks good and the interior also looks nice.
I was not a ford guy, but now will always have ford. Why? Bought a 2011 fusion for 3900$. Went to junkyard and bought a navigation unit for 65$ and installed it by my self. It rides smooth and few things which are easy to fix including oil change. I also have a 2 series with dinan package, but fusion is daily driver and cant ask for better for the money.
love mine! Changing in 2020 though
4:07 why?
Matt we enjoy your videos and we own a Kuga which we enjoy looking to upgrade in the future and from your videos notice that full independent or active suspension is now an option on many of the Kuga s competitors
Worth a mention in your video is that many folk buy SUVs because of the condition of the UK roads Us older folk enjoy the higher seating position and easy access too.
The ST Line badge on the Ford Kuga in my opinion is better on the fake plastic vent on the side rather than on the top of it.
Had to stop watching, it's clear he doesn't even want to be reviewing this vehicle. What a joke.
Totally agree.he always slags off cheaper cars and clearly only likes expensive cars.only annoying thing about this car is the prick driving it.saying that I have one and the petrol consumption is dire.really dire
Michael pound yeah I normally like Matt's videos bug this one is just pants
Saw the car on the road , liked what I saw, watched this review and now I’m in doubt !!
I can't wait until mine gets delivered in March! Kuga ST-Line X ~ Stunning car.
the reference to Courteney Cox was hilarious lol
What are the better alternatives for a 2019 model say 16-18k money wise???? Love the BMW X1 and volvo xc60 but quite expensive
Peugeot 3008 all day long
Matt is a legend
I like this car despite your negative review
I'm not rich enough to know what Matt looks like nowadays, I watch only 5 years old cars reviews
Kia Stinger and Nissan Leaf reviews please. Many thanks.
Keep your eyes peeled for that Stinger review - it's coming very soon :)
There are tons of them already
I do like the styling of the Kuga and I am currently having a stand off with the wife who wants to get the Tiguan.
Please review new cr-v
Mohsen Molaee he has
mm funny he did he just shat on it for no reason
Well, I'm buying one!
Petros Anagnostopoulos
Don't 😎
My comment was sarcastic...
Croatia 🇭🇷 🤩
Zdravo kako si.
In v Sloveniji
janezi iz slovenije. upam da ne pride ta kuga k nam..mislm na avto haha
Josip Ricov you guys huge fans of stipe there..?
we like vucic more hahah
Top review Mat, thanks: you are easily the most humourous car reviewer on UA-cam.
To be honest I can’t even afford a car this is just my replacement for top gear
Kuga or hyundai tucson please ??
@@abdelhadi5770 tucson fof sure
the more i watch this man the more i like him
The exterior looks okay, but interior looks hideous with that recessed touchscreen and cheap looking plastics.
Péter Oláh my man! Volvo’s are cool and sexy! For a good suv for me is the Audi Q5.
The XC60 is 1.5 times as expensive, so they're not comparable
The Kuga is similar size to the Volvo XC40. But XC40 is a lot more expensive. But much better. Avoid the Kuga like the plague. Lol.
Thank you I was waiting for this for ages now.
Infotainment is cumbersome. Better yet the dash is too busy. Ford will save on plastic if they simplified it.
I am from Croatia and you are right about Kuga :)
I see dog...I press like immediately. Didn't like the car though.
®ioT It's a bulldog. And bulldogs are ugly in my opinion.
Yeah but they are so ugly they are almost cute tho...
Bulldogs are mutants, but that bit was hilarious.
@ Mat: If you check the video on 4:35, you can see there are these little parallelogram bulges that can be used to raise the boot floor. This way you can have a flat loading bay
Fantastic looking car - Great for the price too
The facelifted Ford Kuga has been very popular particularly In Sporty ST-Line Trim
Do Audi a8 2018 vs s class 2018 please
If you buy one without a reversing camera you can't always have a genuine ford reversing camera fitted afterwards because apparently our 2019 head unit doesn't have anywhere to plug it in
8:30 The AWD badge looks like it's been stuck on by a 5 year old. So wonky it's unreal
Its not its just a crap camera angle
Harry Handforth You obviously hate children by saying that. You should never have children at all
Thorbjørn Madsen Shut up you pillock
have you been the BMW X1 badges, much the same way and position
Mogsy28uk Yeah I’m familiar but this just seems wrong
Lots of good stuff here. Farting, Plague and the DAAAWG! You should include more animals with the reviews, it just works!
I have one of these and actually, on this occasion I think Matt’s comments are pretty way off.. its a really good car... especially for the money.
Makes you wonder about all his other reviews really. Can't really be trusted.
Have you driven either?
Andrew Taylor I've driven almost all Ford's european cars on market today, including Mustang and Focus RS
Mihnea Burada then you would realise that most car journos rate the st line Kuga driving dynamics above anything out of the VW camp.
My uncle had the 2018 one. It was very nice. Then he got the 2020 one which is a hell of a lot more better. He has the ST line X model
"hell of a lot more better"?? Oh, sorry, I didn't see your photo.
He's constantly being negative, it's like he was looking for things to mock about
mrhpijl hey, thats what reviewer for... If you don't like how he present, should change to other channel...
mrhpijl because these are things that a car should be critisized for
He's being negative because it's a ford, nuff said.
Tbh he has worked for ford, he has vids about innovative design in the ford kuga which makes me laugh so hard when i watch this
mrhpijl Badge snobbery at its finest, if it was a Vw there would be no negatives
We were thinking about either getting a Hyundai Tucson or a Ford Kuga and I am so glad we chose the Tucson. It is simply the better car. I really love the Ford Edge and the new Ford Fiesta tho.
All of this from the guy who purchased a jimny... okay bud.
Note to Director - get the sound levels right and forget the washed out colour and lack of sharpness. It simply isn't good enough.
I think that this review was not appropriate for this car. The only "non-exaduration" was the position of the screen which is truly uncomfortable. Otherwise, you made an unsurprisingly boring and not Faire for this car review. At least for my taste
I have a 2017 Ford Escape, same as the Kuga. It’s a great car.
