Also because he was learning to adjust and control his strength, you could tell in episode 4 when he hurt that kid that it tortured him that being able to be gentle may not be in the cards anymore
Woah! The first part was filmed on the grounds of Expo 70 in Osaka after it closed but before it was dismantled! The giant "Tower of the Sun", shown very briefly at 0:33 (the gold circle is the tower's head and 3rd face) designed by artist Tarō Okamoto, is still there today, although they removed the giant canopy built around it, so it's free-standing and has a museum inside of it now! I love that they filmed here and wish more tokusatsu shows had done so. A very dramatic location!
i'm glad that by that point that Takeshi Hongo got used to his super kaizo ningen strength enough to do delicate maneuvers such as picking up puppies to give them a hug. those were some very cute puppies.
I actually read fujioka's book cause he talked about it, it was a combination of costume adjustments after he came back and because in the comic book apparently shocker got their hands on him again, which is mentioned in episode 86 that a special technique and modification caused the change
Of all the scenes in Kamen Rider that show the lead actor fighting un-transformed, I reckon this episode probably has the most impressive. Fujioka really looks like he's putting his heart into it lol (that, and the shot of him riding up the staircases with a motorcycle is actually really fucking cool). Also, anyone know what the name of the BGM at 1:01 is? The editing of the shots with the song works really mf well.
Duel With Grim Reaper Chameleon! World Fair Impression (死神カメレオン決闘!万博跡 Shinigami Kamereon Kettō! Banpaku Ato), is the seventh episode of the original Kamen Rider series. Continuing Kamen Rider's battle with Shocker kaijin Grimreaper Chameleon which started in the previous episode, this is the concluding part of the first two-parter in Kamen Rider Series history. Notes: -Grimreaper Chameleon would later appear as part of the revived kaijin armies seen in episode 13 and the movie Kamen Rider vs. Shocker. -The title of the episode was in reference to Expo '70, a World's Fair held in Osaka in March to September of 1970, the year before this episode of Kamen Rider.
A friend of mine was JUST about to upload this. We were watching this ep the other day and wondered what magical Kamen ability you'd need for that awesomeness. Ha ha.
this is one of the best performance fight in all kamen rider 1. shocker got the number of tachibana tobei too, i think he is the mechanic of the shocker riders...
It's so simple. He raider punched the ground to make a hole, rider throw the coffin into the air. Rider kicked the mound of dirt into the air and rider jumped into the coffin and it all landed perfectly. Just like that DragonBall scene of little goku kicking the lumber into perfect pieces and it landing into a perfect pile.
The thing was that Shinigami Chameleon(and SHOCKER) believed that Hitler’s greatest weapon was buried in Japan, Hongo knew there was no such weapon, but knew that Shocker didn’t know that, so set up an ambush for them, the Combatmen would try and uncover the weapon, but hidden in the coffin would be Ichigo to ambush Shocker
@@superplushtiman7ti075 hence the greatest ambush in the history of ambushes . Hitler didn’t have anything so his only resort was turning into a starfish , but then got his ass whooped by Kamen Rider X .
Oh my God I love this, I just love this so much lol I still chuckle to this day and I watch this since months already! Of course like many I have many questions, how did he bury himself there? Who put the dirt back? Heck who planted the cross for him? Goddamn Houdini would jump out of his own grave to know the answer lol.
Hongo has the IQ of 600, so when he knew that Shocker were planning to search for Hitler's legacy, he hid himself inside the Nazi coffin as a bait against them.

So...was Shocker basically telling Takeshi they were gonna ambush him? Not the best tactic imo ( I could be wrong, seeing as I haven't seen the episode )
I love how at the end he's hugging puppies after killing all those shocker operatives.
balrog121 it's for the girls. Fan appeal.

That's kinda Kamen Rider in a nutshell xD

The transition from kamen rider's finisher to a broken glass is cool as hell.
I KNOW RIGHT I LOVED THAT PART
What a wild rollercoaster of emotions.
Takeshi Hongo be like..
"Problem, Shocker?"
Silverbolt Aerialbot Lol

mrbigstick the delicate manuver was not crushing the puppy to death
Hongo Takeshi: a Man among Men.
I think what everyone should be asking is: How the hell did he get in that coffin and bury it with him inside?
Toku logic: nonexistent since the 70's.
Also I did he stay alive without much air
BECAUSE HES ICHIGO!!!!
@@thelastoutcast9266 He's a cyborg
Bingo
The early episode with only Hongo and his Rider suit was mostly blue which was a much more better color tone then the silver.
Yeah I really enjoy that color scheme much better then the updated versions

lol the greates ambush is hiding inside the coffin in the underground

The BGM is titled "Lonely Soul" on the soundtrack.
You know, there is just something so funny about a guy in a monster costume, digging up a coffin with his hands. Also, how did Ichigo bury himself?

Rider Jump! Rider Kick! Kamen rider, Kamen rider. Rider, rider~
I know I doesn't make sense but when I first saw this scene I still thought it was cool as HELL!

I thought my headset was broken. the sound was all in the left headphones....
No stuntman
Respect 👏👍
Too bad the lead actor got injured later down the line, having to be replaced for 40 or so episodes

Haven't watched yet, but this the scene where he comes out of the Nazi coffin, isn't it?
Edit: Yup
I thought ZX was the ninja Rider
well it is true zx rider does has the skills of a ninja
the v3 ambush was also good
What I'd like to know is how the hell Hongo was able to get inside that Nazi coffin, and then bury himself under dirt and a cross while still inside?
He's got the spirit of Segata Sanshiro inside him. Nuff said
Maybe he use Dio's The World ability for that
Hongo has the IQ of 600, so when he knew that Shocker were planning to search for Hitler's legacy, he hid himself inside the Nazi coffin as a bait against them.
If anyone could figure out a way to do it, it’s him
Why does it sound like there's a Kazoo playing in the Background with the music!?
Puppies just roam around Japan like that?
How the hell he gets inside the coffin..😂😂😂😂
