Here in UK I can almost hear the smiles on the happy and pround parents faces. And to the lads themselves - I urge you to migle with the locals, you are hugely respected.
Renowned Gurkhe warriors ❤. Hope they continue to make Nepal proud. I have witnessed applicants paying fortune to the ones involved in their recruitment .
Welcome to our country every one of you and thanks for everything you do for us , my Father was in the RAF in the Far East always said when your gentleman were guarding the perimeter of the airfield he slept well .
Thanks a lot, mate. You have a great respect for us, and it means a lot. I believe Nepal is progressing quickly. My father served in the Indian Gurkha Rifles, and it's amazing to be part of a military family. With help from India and China, Nepal is progressing well. We Nepalese are very patriotic, just like the British. Even if my countrymen stop going to the West for jobs and opportunities because we are achieving a good standard of living here in nepal in the next 70 years, but I will still teach my children about the important contributions of white European Protestants and Catholics to modern society. I will make sure my children understand how these contributions helped shape the world we live in today. I will also teach them to always welcome our white European friends with open arms, just as they have welcomed and helped us during our difficult times. Mate with this, I want to say, God save the King, and hail to the Gurkhas and Great Britain! Jai Nepal.
I've met some Gurkha in Newcastle. Day off from their training at Catterick. Immaculately dressed!! Ex Army myself so had a good chat with them (So polite and proud of what they were doing!! Good luck to them all!!!
Thulo samman Gurkhaharu ko laggi, your retired brothers have taught me so much. I to was very cold when I came back to the UK last year in March, I just wanted to go back to Nepal where it was hot and relax around Boudha Stupa and khane Nepali khana. Ma Nepal miss garchu 🥰🥰
Remember seeing them around Aldershot when I was in basic training Blackdown Barracks, Deepcut. Always in suits, collar and tie. Great troops, great respect 👍.
We should organize an annual Gorkha event in Gorkha Nepal where the units from Gorkha/Gurkha forces serving around the world come together. Perhaps have football, and cricket matches, train together etc.
Gurkhas fought in numerous conflicts, from the East India Company wars to WWI, WWII, and the Falklands War, they fought and fell, their sacrifices echoing through history. Yet, it pains me to acknowledge that our own government traded our lives for their interests, selecting only four ethnicities-Rai, Limbu, Gurung, and Magar, -to bear the burden of fighting and dying for the British. Today, as a member of the younger generation, it is imperative that we refuse to forget the discrimination and brutality inflicted upon our ancestors by both our government and the British. We were not only sent to battle; we were sold to die, our blood spilled and forgotten in the jungles of Italy, Burma, Malaysia, and the Falklands. Our government's betrayal, trading lives for financial gain that they still benefit today, remains a bitter truth. Today, it's a tragic reality that we've let our culture, religion, and languages fade away, with no meaningful representation in government. We're adrift, feeling lost and disconnected in our own homeland, struggling to find our place and preserve our identity. As descendants of Gurkha soldiers, we cannot afford to remain silent any longer. We must raise our voices against the injustices endured by our forefathers for over two centuries. Their sacrifices demand our remembrance, but also our actions. Let us break the silence and strive for justice, dignity, and recognition for those who fought, suffered, and died in service to a cause not of their own making. If we were truly brave, we wouldn't be living as cowards on our own land.
@kirati- it's illegal only if they were forced to join, if they chose to join, it's legal. Nobody is forcing them to join. The thing you say, so called illegal would stop right way if none of the recruits fill up the forms but you sure will not provide the money to the recruits to pay their bills to keep their life going. Will you?
@@nc01sadh have you notice Gurkhas During 1st and 2nd World War many were send Barefoot with little money .. were as there British People Get Paid Full .. Same case in Todays Vetrans.. And I will Say Its Illegal Shame On British ✊
I'm in the US Army and during basic we had someone who was from Nepal and he was a Gurkha really funny guy the drill sergeants fucked with him alot cause he was like the class clown lol
Free food and wages every month and guarantee British Citizenship and bringing family to British land to leave together- this way coming to fight for British
This is how all immigration should be done for the west. You should have to serve in a military formation for a set amount of years and earn it, gain pride in the flag and the land you now serve, and come to appreciate it
I'm guessing the Sepoys in British India were similar to Gurkhas in their motivation to serve the British Empire. I can't ask modern Indians because it's fashionable to bash the British & Sepoys didn't leave much behind in writing.
Just compare this calmness with the way the American Marines drill sargents behave. There is a total respect here unlike the maverick, shouty approach of the American Marines.
Yeah just think they volunteer to help Russians in Ukraine and the Indian army. Poor people will do anything for a paycheck, Britain should be ashamed to rely on them. Oh yeah and by the way the US Marines are light years better than them, just saying
Don’t know where u got that figure. It’s £1557 a month from the first day of training, up to £2000 a month upon completion. That’s just for the new guys. I’m guessing you’re a Russian troll mad your boys are in the meat grinder making £700 a month 😂 stay salty Ivan
Welcome gentlemen. You are welcomed with much appreciation for your bravery. We hope you will be happy here
We are so priveledged to have these honorable men in our army and country, WELCOME FROM A VETERAN !!

Better than the boat people from Africa or the unfortunate slaves brought in chains from the Dark Continent in the earlier centuries. Is it not?
Equal rights and equal pay. We should import 10s of thousands of these recruits.
