hi guys, among other stuff I did to my Commodore SS (Aussie version of yours) I changed my diff from 3.4:1 to 3.95:1. Huge difference to mid range pick up...too much wheelspin off the mark, but Tremec lasted 4months before it died. Good luck. Rob.
Could spend most of the day staring at her rear end, then whats left I would spend checking out the Strange 9 Inch LOL. Congrats on the newest member to the family.
I am enjoying these GTO video's so much you will never know how much what you are doing means to me at this time. Thank you for giving me something to look forward to at a time when I really need it. Lots of love to you two and I will see you the next time.
Just trying to help, Emily and Aaron. You don’t need to put loc-tite on the whole threaded part of the bolt. A dab around the first few leading threads of the bolt/capscrew. Threading the bolt into the hole will spread it the rest of the way and not skew the torquing process.
I'm so jealous and excited at the same time. I did a 9" on my el camino around the same time. except I had an issue with the weld on the housing leaking and I still haven't received my replacement housing from QP . BTW congrats on the new members!
That incident reminds me of when I was stabbing the spare tire under a Dodge Caravan. A large washer attaches to a cable that raises the spare into position. I tucked the cable into a forward position so I could hoist up the spare. In doing so,the big-ass washer attached to the cable swung down DIRECTLY into my safety glasses. I would be called "one-eyed" Dave since 2011, if not for those $4.49 glasses.I do NOT want to be a Pirate. AHHRRRR!
Another great episode! In response to your other comment, No I have not watched the drag week special yet! I wanna finish the build first! I'm hoping to get to it tonight so my wife can watch it with me when she is done studying. Maybe it will get her excited to go next year...After we both graduate, and I buy another corvette! (or we might just copy y'all and build datzen 2.0??) haha jk jk
Love the channel!! Keep up the good work!! I gotta say nobody is that clean or look that good at 4am under a car..... just pointing out the obvious lol
Really considering a 9" after watching this. Have you considered modifying your rear control arms to lower the stance and allowing you to run a wider tire with a little mini tub? I did that on my 06 goat and fit a 315 drag radial running 3:73, trutrac and gforce half shafts and stubs.
I have a 17 Roush Mustang makes 800 rwhp and the axles are Ford Performance which are made by G-Force and you can’t break them I think they are rated for 2,000HP and I believe life-time warranty
This show ain't just wrenching goals, but relationship goals too. The fact that Aaron cheekily picked on Emily and yet she still had a smile on her face tells me that their relationship is in a state of comfortable love. I love this show. Can't wait to see Roxy go back to her Aussie roots and burn some rubber.
See that just warms my heart to know that. Love ya both. Keep makin' videos and I'll keep watchin' Say, whatever happened to that 'Ronco ya'll were workin' on?
This is gonna be one happy Holden!! See what I did there?! I am glad you were wearing safety glasses Emily. I want no harm to come to those gorgeous baby blues!
Don't care if you didn't flinch, you trusted in your safety equipment to work, and it did. You were smart to have them on. Don't forget your butt cushions next time. 0:47 Loved it, good stuff guys.
I was gonna ask why you just didn’t relocate the knock sensors like the ls2 locations were on your. Ls2 block, also heard you can delete them out of the tune now.
This is the only time 9” is acceptable. Any other time and it’s a totes no go. Just sayin. Anyways that’s so awesome congrats on the niece! I love LOVE when my aunt and uncles comer over so gets so spoiled like a ton! 😂😂💯💝❤️ P.S My dad does the same thing! And he giggles when I fall over ma! 😂😂😂 P.P.S My Dodge 1500 has a built Hemi and the whole running gear has been upgraded with Strange Engineering axles, third member, tcase and ball joints. If you have email or social media I will totes send you pictures! Was my first project I did like almost all by myself. But I did need help because the third member and axles were really heavy.
Also did that come with like the aluminum spool or stainless spool? Strange makes freaking awesome stuff! My uncle John started using Strange in his shop like two years ago when he started offering rolling chassis with 8 second cages etc.
I believe lectrosonic wireless packs and countryman mics are kinda the film/tv industry standard for audio.... I work in lighting though so not my area of expertise.
You can’t beat the Shure remote packs and receivers. Not cheap but reliable. Even the sports guys take a while to kill them. Microphones are the delicate parts. The good ones are silly in price. DPA are the best but kinda delicate. However you can buy parts to fix them. It depends on if you can be careful with them. Otherwise buy cheap ones by the six pack.
Hmm, interesting that they only used a since rear bush on the diff. That rear end was known to hop, so Harrop (and I think others) did a kit that used two bushes to help stop the centre twisting. What's 'wrong' with you?? Lots, but that's why we love you. :P
Are either of you ase certified mechanics?? Just wondering because you both are great at working on cars and knowing your stuff. Love the channel!! I'm restoring a 1964 nova and know the pain of a dropped transmission. Lol. Hurts.
wtabor4759 We absolutely are not 😅 Aaron has worked in a shop his whole life building million mile 18 wheeler engines, he’s a great engine builder... we’re always learning together in the shop though!
Well you two do a darn good job. I rebuilt my 283 and other components. Cpp mini subframe, rebuilt axle, brakes, etc. I've worked on cars since I was 10, I'm 51 now. Lol. Thanks for the great vids.
So you just like the GTO seat then? Cuuuuuuuz that's all you got left. And this is the first one of yours I've watched so I can't even be sure of the seat.
No implication. It's no longer a GTO. Not a bad thing. Nascar does the same thing. Just cuz the badge says GTO doesn't make it a Ferrari, Mitsubishi or, in our case, a Pontiac once all the working parts are replaced with non-similar after-market upgrades that become the majority. It's a great build and I am envious. However, it won't handle, sound or resemble a GOAT in anything but external appearance. Meanwhile, I'm just trying to reupholster mine but life gets in the way. (His name is Minion and he's an '05 Yellowjacket.)
Aaron was definitely a turd at the begging, and oh my god how did you not even flinch when the plastic hit your glasses. Thank goodness for those safety glasses.... Nice keezer btw, mine's covered in junk too... makes it a little hard to change out kegs.
The reasons many transmissions have five or six gears (or more) is that the top gears are overdrive. They are meant to run at low rpm at highway speed in order to save gas. I'm curious about what's going to happen to Roxy. Is she now "retired" to drag racing and hot rodding events, or will she continue to serve as a "late for work" daily driver?
Rafael Sanchez G Force buys the headset from strange for their kits! The reason I wanted it from G Force is because they built the whole kit to work together on the GTO! They fabricated the housing that bolts to the center section, and is a direct bolt in to Roxy! Then the inner stubs and axles they build are exactly perfect for the 9 inch so there’s no guess work!
No shame... the 9 inch is the best production differential ever ! Blessings on the new baby and mom ! Such a great part of being in a growing Family !
Great episode Em. I don’t mind the longer time. It makes it a tv show. Keep em coming
Emily you don't have to be cheeky! We get it...lol!

Nice rear set up. I can hardly wait to see the video of the car completed taring up the roadways. Nice job!
Congratulations on the new niece. My granddaughter is named Lily.
Could spend most of the day staring at her rear end, then whats left I would spend checking out the Strange 9 Inch LOL. Congrats on the newest member to the family.
Car parts need hugs too 😍
You guys have way to much fun... Love it. Keep up good work you two!
I am enjoying these GTO video's so much you will never know how much what you are doing means to me at this time. Thank you for giving me something to look forward to at a time when I really need it. Lots of love to you two and I will see you the next time.
Robert Barnett I’m so glad to hear it!
Amazing once more.
So much fun watching you two work together
I watched live drag week with much anticipation for your runs at the track. !
That was some lively intro. Horsepower will do that to you. Arron’s laugh was epic!!, 🤣😂👍👍😃
Thanks for sharing. Congrats on the new family member. Can't wait to see the next episodes.
love it - the car, the couple, the work and the humor

Congrats on the precious new niece! Also, nice job with the diff install!
COOL CONTENT! THE FORD 9" IS THE WAY TO GO.
I don't think that is will blow. It is very stout, even with slicks.
Congrats on the new niece! I look forward to seeing her wrench with the two of you soon!
That looks like a really nice kit for the rear end of that GTO. It almost makes me want to go out and buy a GTO just so that I can do that. Lol
Another great video. Thanks for all your work in putting these together.
Wade Palmer Thank YOU for THANKING US!!! ♥️🙏🏼
That is a really nice rear end setup you have gotten for the GTO and it installed well too.
Two new “members” in this episode: one “family”, the other “third”. Congrats on both! 😉👍🏻
...as presented to us by, a couple of tools,... 😉😉😝😝😁😁🤷♂️
Great job. 5 days to dyne - sounds like Chris's crazy Burntacan schedule LOL
That 9” rear end is 1 sexy wheel turning gear spinning mind blowing piece of sexiness!
You better thank those glasses they save you from a world of pain, maybe enough to keep you from driving at Drag week! Smart lady.
That incident reminds me of when I was stabbing the spare tire under a Dodge Caravan. A large washer attaches to a cable that raises the spare into position.

bendall2006 You guys absolutely should build a Datsun!!!

Do you have modified control arms on the rear I see you’re running the Gforce coil over kit
I'm not much of a GTO guy.. but Damn!! Roxy has one of the nicest rear ends I have ever seen!! Baby got back!
So funny, Aaron verified the bolt didn't fit. Can't wait for the next ep on Roxy. Love this couple. Get it.
I have a 17 Roush Mustang makes 800 rwhp and the axles are Ford Performance which are made by G-Force and you can’t break them I think they are rated for 2,000HP and I believe life-time warranty
Wow, Another great episode guy's, I really enjoy watching them, Your videos are Amazing and EMILY just keeps getting PRETTIER.
Thank you

Did that right-side ABS sensor wire hanging down give you any trouble during drag week? It was making me nervous.
Emily your a good drummer 😀
So, you all want to haul %@$. 325’s and it’s gonna boogie! 👍👌Congrats on the birth of your niece.
Don't care if you didn't flinch, you trusted in your safety equipment to work, and it did. You were smart to have them on.
Don't forget your butt cushions next time. 0:47 Loved it, good stuff guys.
Ive watched it twice, thank yall. Great stuff.
Congrats on the new family member!
Looking good
Can't wait for more

i am thinking of getting that geforce kit for my gto. have you had any trouble with yours?
Congrats on being coming an auntie and uncle again fantastic video as always keep up the great work
Ahh the excitement ! 💣💥
Another great video 👍👍
Car parts need hugs too . Great quote. Rode or Sennheiser good lavalier mick chooses . How much you want to spend for mic ?

Always love your comments 🥰
What is the particulars on the diff cause ive got a vx commodore sedan 3800 l67 would luv that diff in mine.
The kit is linked in the description! All the info can be found there ☺️🙌🏼
How much for the rear diff setup
I believe lectrosonic wireless packs and countryman mics are kinda the film/tv industry standard for audio.... I work in lighting though so not my area of expertise.
Hahaha how funny that you didnt flinch thank goodness you had your safety glasses
Congratulations you two on a new niece
Did you end up with any oil leaks? You don't typically put silicone on a bearing like that?
Congrats on new niece. You answer my question on if this still has stock diff. With this vid.
Getting closer...👌
Congrats on the new addition to the family. ......nieces and nephews are good too.....damn that's a sexy rear under bottom! !##
Luv the highjinxs
Next week they put studded snow tires on and do burn out of the garage. Then you can watch the Flying Sparks in the Garage. lol
congrats
Intro with a burnout in gravel.... That's impressive!!
Kris N......You must be new here!

Awesome video
Emily, give Aaron back the sticker.
By slapping it on his hairy shin. That should slow him down a bit.
Gary LeLacheur Hahaha!!! He’s a goober and it’s funny 😅
Rear end looks good 👌 (car) 😁 lol
Poor Aaron she just uses him for his body! We all feel his pain !
Torques n horsepowers...... Emily, if you ain't country I'll change my name to Gertrude and start wearing a bonnet!!! Lol
Congratulations on your new niece

That was a good safety glasses save
Emily...@17:33 I had flash backs of Sesame Street. :)
Here for the outro.
I say you are obsessed with rear ends
With all of the recent mods you should now spell it ROCKS!!EE. Aaron pushing you over? My wife woulda kicked my butt!
Ford Commercial diff. Replaced by Danas. Use synthetic oil, the pinion is so low it simply just burns the oil otherwise.
Are either of you ase certified mechanics?? Just wondering because you both are great at working on cars and knowing your stuff. Love the channel!!

RODE Lav mics...there's a reason they cost some money. That said...nice to see some Roxy hotness!
Love it. Be safe. Peace.
You need to get him back for kicking you 😂 lol

10:54 "deez nutz go to 35 ft lbs" lmao
Aaron is feeling feisty today!
New shop helper! Yay! Congrats! Now go kick Aaron! Lol
Aaron was definitely a turd at the begging, and oh my god how did you not even flinch when the plastic hit your glasses. Thank goodness for those safety glasses.... Nice keezer btw, mine's covered in junk too... makes it a little hard to change out kegs.
Do in it for America!
You should get Hughes to hook you up with a new transmission
All's I can say is HOLEY MOLLY!!!!!
Torques AND Horsepowers! Sign me up! :P
Shop Dawg wantz horses and torques tooz!

John Lloyd She’ll be daily driven less but still driven A LOT!
Ford 9 inch for your GTO, nothing available for my 47 Buick Sedanette, can't even find a exhaust heat riser for my 79 Ford F-100 (302)...
I'm here to read the 9inches installed in her rear end comments. #carhub
Silver99 oof
Who wouldn't?
A girl always thinks about the first time she puts in a 9inch (housing) in.
Bobby I think anyone would remember that.
You can find lab mics for 10 bucks at Walmart
vau Emily that calls for revenge, but cold served one. 😉
Isn't g-force own by strange?
Rafael Sanchez Nope!
@@flyingsparksgarage I'm just asking because I've noticed lately u been saying u got this product from g-force but clearly its manufactured by strange

BTW how is the upgrade for that coming?
Thanks for sharing.
JT Thill Halted because of building Garfield and Roxy 😭🙈
@@flyingsparksgarage Don't give up the dream!
3:50 gear ratio would have been ideal.
Says to her husband.....”Look how impressive that unit is!”. Aaron grins on the inside. “Why yes. Yes it is.” #pimplife😎
