I ran across him at a small club in Dallas in 1989 or 1990, and have even followed his shows for a few years. Seeing him performing these on UA-cam is a great joy.
This is why I love David...I've been listening to him for over 15 years and he never fails to show me that Love is the over riding theme of life, if you allow it in.
This is the song that held me together after the bombing of the Murrah building here in Oklahoma. This is what helped me remember goodness in life. David, you are a Bard. Thank you.
"Don't tear your clothing in your grief; instead, tear your hearts. Return to the LORD your God, for he is gracious and merciful. He is not easily angered. He is filled with kindness and is eager not to punish you." I like that - tear your hearts. One of my favorite musicians, David Wilcox, often talks and sings about hearts not working right - until they are broken.
San Bernadino shooting happened today and I needed to hear this to be reminded that "it was Love that mixed the mortar, it was Love that stacked these stones..."
Oh how I love this song...have been blessed to see DW in concert thrice and I think he performed "Show The Way" on all three occasions. (There's a slim chance DW might remember the most recent of the three, in Burlington, Ontario, when my brother Bruce and I arrived at the venue nearly simultaneously with DW, and DW was clearly taken with my blue 1962 Studebaker I'd chosen to drive that day...my own little "Rusty Old American Dream"!) I was in the third row stage left at this concert - one of the best I've been to in 50 years. This man's music is pure joy..........

In this darkness love will show the way..where else but here!
Once, years ago...I had a chance to sing this song with David. One of the greatest experiences of my life! Love this song and love Dave!

Love will save us all.

Absolutely brilliant. It just doesn't get any more pure than that. A beautiful soul.
The song that brought solace after the murder of my wife. Thank you, David Wilcox.
Sometimes God sends us little surprises - like David Wilcox! :)

I love this song for years. this lyric is profound. it's absolutely brilliant only God conspires with lyrics I don't care what the atheists say.
I understand. If you can, give them the grace that God does.
It be great to see David and James Taylor together.
Beautiful songwriter and singer. He gives a message of hope and joy everyday. Carpi Diem!
I had really hoped that his sophomore album would take him to James Taylor status, he's a great writer.
