Dougo is a trooper, he even kept his signature commical sarcasm going. When you have faith, it allows you to look at thing's like this, vent it out a bit, but then realise that it can be replaced. Nikki has been gone a year this week, and that kind of loss dwarfs this. My sister lost her husband to cancer last September, she's 52, and her youngest daughter home is 11, and their house was taken out in gaylord, michigan a few day's by a tornado. Many of the home's were levelled, but my sister is staying with friend's until they insurance decides what to do. God bless.

Heartbreaking to see. I guess the most important thing is that everyone is safe. I can’t imagine the impact this will have to the farm and crop. Prayers to you all.🙏
In the highs and lows of your lives you’ve shared with us your viewers your joy, sorrow and pain. What you do is more than Youtubing, this is a community. God bless you Lawson family, you are all in our thoughts and prayers.
SO sorry for all the damage you all received!! Thank God no one was hurt!!! Take care of yourself Doug and all of you. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you. I"m sure Chet is really upset too. Hope Toby is ok!! We just love him!!
Praise God that you all survived the storm without injury. Buildings can be replaced. You guys can't be replaced. My family ,and church community are praying for everybody in Minnesota that was affected by the storms. God bless you all.
I wish I lived closer, I would come and help with clean up and rebuild. I farmed in Idaho for many years and know the hard times also. I have been a building contractor for 50 years. Doug, Amy, and Chet, you have been through alot this past year. I'm impressed with your faith and strength to move forward. Hope crops can be planted and rebuild can start. Chet, I loved working with my Dad for many years farming and building. There is nothing better than working along side family and getting the work done. Amy your faith has touched my life. I find great faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Doug I admire your strength and leadership and hard work . My the Lord Bless each of you.
Hello from Oregon, Our family is great full your all alive and will some how get threw the horrible cost of loss. Most Oregon Farm's are up for sale and we sure can't loose anymore. God be with you all in our hardest time's ever right now. Hug to anyone who needs one.
Sorry to see all the damage. Makes me realize how lucky we were here in the Elbow Lake area. Minor damage here with a tree down here & there. You go 10 miles south & you start seeing more damage. I'm sure glad everybody is okay. Hope you are able to get your bin site repaired in time for harvest. I hope the weather turns & you can get the crops in.
Dougo you and your wife have one of a good disposition to keep up your good humor in the middle of all that tragedy.. may GOD bless you and get you on your feet again soon.....
From Australia, your spirit and attitude to such destruction is fantastic; I don't think I could be as resilient and as optimistic as you are. Good luck to you your family and community. From Down Under
So devastatingly cruel. Nobody deserves to go through this at a time where everything is in flux. Thank you for letting us into your lives. We know it can't be very easy at a time like this. Our thoughts are with you.
Soooooo sorry Larson Farms team and family.....America needs our farmers, ranchers and drivers.....many many thoughts and prayers for you to dig out and rebuild....love the peace under stress DougO....I wish I was close enough to come help “ for free” but I am many states away. Thanks for taking us along!!!! We feel your pain when we watched the video. Heart felt support for your community
Duggo, I’m so sorry for you , the family and all the residents of your county. You took a huge hit . Even with insurance and workers hard at work, this will take a while to get back to normal. I imagine when everything is restored the place will look great again. Is there any way to give your buildings and equipment more protection from the elements? Missed Chet , Eric & Brody . I’ll bet their pretty bummed ☹️ out as well. Well, thank you Duggo for letting us get a glimpse of your personal life and the struggles you face . Take care and I will keep waiting for each new episode of the restoration process. Paul - St Petersburg, Florida
You are some of the smartest farmers on UA-cam and your operation is second to none. You will recover and find away to emerge from this stronger than ever! You certainly have a busy summer cleaning up but we will all be here rooting for you in the comments section.
*- Thanks for showing us all the 100 mph wind destruction that took place Thursday May 26, 2022* *- The emotional strength and will of farmers shows Americans how to behave.* *- It is good for all of us to see. It is good for us to have good teachers like you all.*
Back in November of 2005 a blizzard with strong winds swept out of South Dakota and through central Nebraska. Hundreds of center pivots and countless structures were damaged. It was very discouraging and overwhelming to look at but we somehow got through it and your area will as well. Wish you the best as you finally get to the fields.
“Be a farmer” they said. Watching your videos makes me appreciate the simple life I have and people have no idea how hard it is for you farmers. Thanks for all you do and sending prayers.
Dougo! OMG! Thanks for the tour. Humor will win the day. We need to get you on the road to perform stand-up. Keeping a sense of humor will get you through all the damage. Sorry to see all the destruction the storm caused. I got tired just watching you point out all the destruction. Lots of replacement/repairs are needed. Insurance helps, but as we know, there is always lots of work on top of everything even if you have coverage. Over the years, all of you have worked very hard to set up the fields and establish a homestead. Thankfully, you have Chet, the Big Swede, and Brody to help out now. I’m sure most of us that follow you believe that you all will be able to rise to the challenge and begin the process of rebuilding, while at the same time getting ready to plant. If only the general public knew how difficult farming is. Hats off to you all, including mom and pop.
Chet; Oh man , sorry for all the damage. No one hurt, I hope. Really appreciate your positive attitudes. Tough Times! I know you will persevere! Captain Al from Tampa😎
Hang in there Doug it is hard to see all you have worked for but you have a great family and support from around the world you will build back better god bless you and your family
I'm glad no one was hurt. I would not have wanted to be an insurance broker in MN several weeks ago. Glad to see all the expensive things made it. I watched Millennial Farmer's damage video. He had a lot more beeps in his video for some reason. MN 2022 planting season has been fun, and it's been real, but it certainly has not been real fun.
Wow I can’t imagine. My daughter was in hurricane Ida. She on had a giant tree fall on to the backyard. The tip of the branches just brushed her home. But your damage is just unimaginable. Framers all seem to get to rally together. I’m sorry for all of the damage you have endure. You guys are the heart of America. Stay strong. May God keeps by your side.
Such a disaster area. Hopefully there were no injuries. Going to be a difficult year for many farmers in your area. Sorry to hear about all the damage.
So glad that no one was injured. The terrible damage can be fixed or replaced. Praying that you are insured enough to cover the losses, replacements and repairs Praying that your electricity is back on soon. Thanks for sharing and taking us on a tour of the damage. Stay happy, healthy, hydrated and safe. May God continue to bless you, your family and your adventures.
I must say I'm so taken back by what you guys are dealing with. Not just destructive storms but now having to get your crop planted. I feel for ya. As a farmer myself I can't imagine the stress this is causing your family and all your fellow farmers around you. Nice to see your good sprits. Good luck to you from us up here in central Alberta.
I'm glad everything that was damaged can be repaired or replaced. We had a similar storm go through southern Ontario last Saturday afternoon. I've never seen so much damage, we were without hydro and everything had to be run off a generator for five days.🇨🇦🌬🔌🔦💡
Good Video Dougo and Amie, lots of clean up. That’s the kind of storms we get in Texas did not know you all got them up in your part of the country. All you can do is rebuild and try to make everything a little stronger. Brace buildings more and the bins not sure you can do anything more on them. This biggest thing is it looks like all your family was not hurt, you have to Thank God for that.
Use synthetic felt 😜 it’s much better. There’s a terra-cotta shingle in Owens Corning. GAF has a Patriot Red if you can get hands on it. Architectural shingles of course. Sorry to see the weather do so much damage to you guys. Hopefully everything goes well when it goes back together for you!
Thanks for sharing this with us. I’m sure you want to bust loose and start fixing things. Instead you share with us. Thanks for taking some time out to show us. Despite the damage to so many things I was happy to see you and your wife safe.
I was SO thankful that my parents were okay several years ago when a tornado hit the home place. I told them, the only thing that mattered was that they were okay. As we turned the corner and started seeing the trees down and buildings gone, my heart sank! The tornado took EVERYTHING around their house, God protected them (my Mom in a wheelchair & my Dad was deaf and didn't hear it). So very thankful you are all okay, but know it's a gut punch Dougo, I feel for you and your family. Hang in there!
In the late 60s my grand parents survived by the grace of God a direct strike on there home by a tornado. The house was surrounded by seven 100+ year old dutch elms. Granddad told me he heard a noise and went and opened the front door. He saw the porch pillar spin in circles and go straight up in the clouds. They didn't have time to go to the storm seller. The house was pushed off the foundation and the walls cracked. After the storm the neighbors came over through their 3/4 section of standing wheat on tractor to make sure my grandparents were okay. This was in Beloit KS. The tornado bounded along the stream course of the Solomon River. It damaged 19 farms and a lot of standing grain. I visited with my mom (her parents) and saw the destruction. I am now in my 70s with three grandsons. I appreciate you taking us along on a video tour. May God keep you all and protect you. Did you salvage the corn before it soiled?
I grew up on a dairy farm, I feel for you I'm really sorry this has happened. I was just wondering, as I don't know, are there braces going across the silos or whatever you guys the grain bins you guys use the grain silos? If not it wouldn't hurt
Mother Nature has not agreed with you guys this year. Just remember, tough times don’t last, tough people do! Fingers crossed for a quick and easy recovery 🙏
So many thousands fly over this country, the heart-beat of the USAmerica and never for one moment realize how blessed they are with for the rock harden producing souls on the ground that will pick themselves up and piece back together this hick-up in their living standard and get back to plowing again soon after just three minutes of blowing hell that erased hundreds of combined years their time of sweat and toil. Thank You King of Heaven for their strength. 071422.
Glad no one was injured. Prayers for dry weather for your crops to get planted. Larson Strong Forever. ...... Friendship and UA-cam nation will help you when called upon...
After seeing Zach’s footage, I’ve been so worried about your farm. What a horrible year for Minnesota farmers in your area. Too wet to plant, then a freaking tornado destroys the farm. DURING a massive supply shortage. What a travesty. What’s the scrap price on steel & aluminum these days?
So sorry. Thanks for sharing. My hometown Mayfield KY was hit with a terrible storm on Dec 10 last year. It is heartbreaking seeing how it was devasted.
Our prayers go out to you and your entire community. Not many years ago, when I was still in high school, we got hit by a tornado also. When we came out the next morning to see 2 buildings and 3 grain bins flattened, I actually started to shake thinking we would never be able to recover. I remember Grandpa coming over and saying, " AJ, everything you see here is just possessions. They can be replaced. We can rebuild and will only be out time and some money. Two towns over, people died last night. Those are the folks we need to worry about. " The reason I bring this up is that the Larson family is a good moral family and I know you will recover from this terrible event. Thank God you are all safe!
I'm so sorry that nature has dealt you this hard blow but you are an inspiration with your outlook and calm acceptance of it. I suppose taken in context with the loss you suffered last year it does bring home the fact no one was hurt and buildings can be repaired. I hope you can get things sorted without too much trouble.
Thank you for giving us a tour of the destruction, it saddens me to see all this. To the Larson family and crew and friends keep your chins up. One day at a time. Life's a garden, dig it!!!
Dougo, I have been through some storm "stuff" . This vlog brings back the sick feeling. Feel for all of you. Hopefully things will get it all sorted out.
There was a tornado went thru about a mile from Zach. Straight line winds at his farm site. The NWS confirmed 16 tornados (and still surveying damage) within that storm. The definition of a derecho is a damage swath a minimum of 60 miles wide and 240 miles long . Gives you an idea of how large of an area was hit.
So sorry for you faired so badly, but happily nobody was injured. I hope insurance will cover everything and you can rebuild and recoup all your losses. We went through something similar in 2012 with Superstorm Sandy. 80 mile an hour winds can be pretty destructive. Put in a permanent full home Kohler generator after that. We were out of power for 2 weeks. 100 year old trees ripped out by their roots all over our town. Will keep you in our prayers.
The question is which price does the insurance pay. Do they pay the $50,000 it used to cost to build a shed or do they pay the $100,000 it costs today. My guess is they pay the "value" at assessment which if it was pre covid prices would be a huge difference. Dunno maybe a farmer will answer
Watching your walk around, with great sympathy, so sorry for your losses and situation. I do hope all of your Lawson family has survived the storm in tact. I know life goes on - you’re a farmer. Nothing but Love you guys l enjoy your videos. Again I am so sorry! I’m just simply stunned as I near getting to the end of this video, so much damage!
It still puzzles me greatly that in the richest country in the world, they still hang power lines etc. in the air despite the fact they suffer extreme weather such as tornados. In Scandinavia we dig everything in the ground and we never have tornados! It just makes no sense.
@@csaunderson The point it, when you put it in the ground it is protected and you will not need to fix it, especially after a tornado visits! Also, you are the richest country in the world - you can afford putting it in the ground like we do, even at larger scale and you will save a lot of maintenance cost.
@@_-martin-_ some ground isnt the best for underground systems as well. Some areas have high water tables and other obstacles which makes it easier to have over head. Lots of new developments have urd systems which is over head to the development then transitions to underground. Also in states where they salt the roads for winter it destroys the insulation on the cable and causes burnouts. I use to work for one of the biggest utility companies in the world.
Glad everyone is OK. Bins and building can be repaired or replaced. I know for the time being it really sucks but you guys will regroup and probably be better than ever! Mother Nature sure wasn't being nice to y'all!
Thank You for sharing this with us. Thank God none of your family was injured. I know it is a very emotional time for your Family. Prayers for all in the community 🙏🙏🙏
My heart sunk. I know that feeling, going into salvage mode. Grasping at straws, trying to be thankful for what survived. What can a guy say? It tests your Faith for sure. I'll forgo the silver lining phrases and say, there's not much I can do to help but stand with you emotionally and spiritually and pray, mourning on the heels of mourning. Brings to mind, added to other setbacks and sadness, standing in the bridge over the Minnesota river with my dad and grandpa, looking at a third of our yearly income under water, hearing "Yeah, it's not my first rodeo but it's one of the worst, let's get to work". We weren't in it alone nor are you and your neighbors, the fellowship and community you build.... Nuff said, you know, Dugo, you know...
Dougo, I know exactly what you are going through. I lived through the second worst Tornado in Canada. Tore my roof off, ripped off all my siding, demolished my garage, took my shed & blew it 17 miles to the west. We were without power for 3 days. It is forever known as Black Friday July 31,1987. 27 people died & did a $ Billion dollars in damage. God Bless & take care. Thank God no one was hurt.
You mentioned State Farm and I have had State Farm since 1968 and they have always treated me right. Nothing worse when mother nature hits. My daughter lives in Butterfield Mn and that day I saw it coming and they were hit with the front and sandblasted on their Canam side by side on the road. So sad to see the Church destroyed by these crazy winds. We are in tornado alley in southcentral Mn by Faribault and saw way to much damage and even lose family members. So glad your family and workers are safe.
I knew that y’all had some bad storms up there earlier this month. Wow! Just WOW! I have been praying for all of you! Over the past several years I have seen you go through more than most families go through in their lifetime. You are a strong family and the Lord knows you can handle it and this newest hurdle will make you all even stronger. Together!! I will continue to pray for each of you! 🙏
Dougo & family, you are a resilient loving clan that displays the true American Spirit for all your viewers to see! Thank You For Feeding Our Families! 🙏🇺🇸
Dougo, you're a treasure. Even with all the damage, good spirits abound.

I grew up on a dairy farm, I feel for you I'm really sorry this has happened. I was just wondering, as I don't know, are there braces going across the silos or whatever you guys the grain bins you guys use the grain silos? If not it wouldn't hurt
The work load, and stress, that this will add in growing and planting season. Unimaginable!
Mother Nature has not agreed with you guys this year. Just remember, tough times don’t last, tough people do! Fingers crossed for a quick and easy recovery 🙏
i love this comment
So many thousands fly over this country, the heart-beat of the USAmerica and never for one moment realize how blessed they are with for the rock harden producing souls on the ground that will pick themselves up and piece back together this hick-up in their living standard and get back to plowing again soon after just three minutes of blowing hell that erased hundreds of combined years their time of sweat and toil. Thank You King of Heaven for their strength. 071422.
Glad no one was injured. Prayers for dry weather for your crops to get planted. Larson Strong Forever. ...... Friendship and UA-cam nation will help you when called upon...
I’m sorry to see you have so much damage I hope you guys get it all back together
Heart goes out to you. Farming hard enough without storm damage like that.
So sorry for all the damage. Praise god you are all safe. Keep us updated. Love and peace
So sorry to see the damage. God is with you all. 🙏🙏
I want the Larson's to succeed. Also for Nicki
no such thing as "god"

Very sad indeed. Thankfully none of the family injured. Our prayers to your community.
Only Dougo can make us laugh while examining tornado 🌪 damage
@@hobman 100% agree
The beavers use steel now is the funniest thing I heard all day
Thank you for giving us a tour of the destruction, it saddens me to see all this. To the Larson family and crew and friends keep your chins up. One day at a time. Life's a garden, dig it!!!
It's been a tough year for farmers it seems everywhere. Rain, storms and cold weather. Gonna be a struggle bus man.
biggest struggle is the destruction being done by our public servants actions.
@@thublit Well that but the weather did a number this year. Gonna be tough on farmers who need those crops in order to feed mouths and theirs.
Dougo, I have been through some storm "stuff" . This vlog brings back the sick feeling. Feel for all of you. Hopefully things will get it all sorted out.
Praying for y’all hope y’all get everything back like y’all want it
My heart goes out to all the people who have such severe damage from the storm. Credit to you for somehow keeping your spirit up.
Zach Johnsons farm got destroyed too, but it was just the derecho wind not any tornados like the title says
There was a tornado went thru about a mile from Zach. Straight line winds at his farm site. The NWS confirmed 16 tornados (and still surveying damage) within that storm. The definition of a derecho is a damage swath a minimum of 60 miles wide and 240 miles long . Gives you an idea of how large of an area was hit.
it wasnt destroyed. A shed and a grain bin blew over. Dont exagerate
Praying for your full recovery. I hope insurance covers the repairs. Take care Larson farms much love to all Please keep farming we really need you
The question is which price does the insurance pay.
It is much easier to install and fix when problems occur, and the size of the infrastructure to build is much greater than in Scandinavia.
People are miles apart the cost would be unreal to bury them. Poles are cheap
Cost twice as much to bury lines, there are close to three times more lines in the US aswell. Would take decades of work.
Great job with the video Doug! Terrible to see the damage but thankfully no one was hurt.
Hope everyone is okay.
🙏🏻
Dougo, I know exactly what you are going through. I lived through the second worst Tornado in Canada. Tore my roof off, ripped off all my siding, demolished my garage, took my shed & blew it 17 miles to the west. We were without power for 3 days. It is forever known as Black Friday July 31,1987. 27 people died & did a $ Billion dollars in damage. God Bless & take care. Thank God no one was hurt.
So sorry for the loss, you are in our prayers!!
Thanks for showing us the damage Doug. I know it’s hard too see all your hard work get destroyed. I know the farm will be back better and stronger!
Amazing calmness for the situation you’ve been given. God’s strength to you Dougo
