2:46 That one moment when Geoff almost believed him.
Best part of the video - Gavin still has no drivers licence in America or England
hahaha wow
Why tho
31 Dec 2019, still no licence.
@@nolearystream April 24th 2020, still no license
Six years later, as of September 18th, 2020 Gavin still has no license in America or England
Seeing Geoff clean-shaven is like... unsettling on a very fundamental level.
It's like the sky is suddenly orange or something.
So... it's normal?
cuz sunsets and stuff
***** Yeah. The dude said "it's like the sky is suddenly orange or something" like it doesn't turn orange everyday.
Skyler Barnard He said 'suddenly'. So imagine it being 12:00 pm and the sky is a dark orange. Pretty strange.
Skyler Barnard He said 'suddenly'. So imagine it being 12:00 pm and the sky is a dark orange. Pretty strange.
First, I'm more used to seeing him without a beard and I dun know why
secondly, the sky can sometimes turn orange during dawn and dust.
Geoff looks.... So young!
Its the mustache/beard...its gone
3 years of alcoholism puts a lot of age on someone lols..plus the beardstache
Jaydn W This.
Reagen Forbes yep
Imagine watching this nearly 11 years after release for the first time
This really sucks for Geoff because it's not like Gavin can take over and drive!
No he can't because Gavin does not have a licence
TheStandAloneWolf That's what he just said sherlock
TheStandAloneWolf Are you really that dense?
Gavin can drive, he just doesn't have a license. I'm in the same boat.
Darth Goob The classic "I can drive but don't have a licence"
"You're kinda... in the middle of two lanes"
now why the fuck did they stop this
R0E0A0P0E0Rify they didn't. They renamed it to Happy Hour and made plenty more
you're about 2 years too late to reply usefully to that person
i wanna see the ENTIRE road trip
Geoff aged like Louis CK: In a matter of minutes.
To be fair Louie looks better now then he did back then.
theeshyguy1 oh yeah miss this Geoff way less homeless looking
I bet if he shaves, he'd look a bit younger
Completely agree. Remember when he and Jack shaved like last year? They both look pretty young. Beards add +10 years
Alcoholism will do that.
I still freak out when I see a car approaching on the right... what do I do?
I always thought that Americans renting cars in the UK should be givin a bumper sticker that reads "AMERICAN DRIVING - VERY SORRY"
I'd take one.
Right after I import my Chevy Silverado there, so whatever I hit short of a barge, lorry, or train, I've got a damn good chance of winning the collision.
Everyone drives like an arsehole in London anyway, for the sake of being an arse, Geoff is half as bad lol
What about someone from another country who drives on the right? Should they have a bumper sticker? Never mind, I know what you'd probably say.
+Hiei2k7 Good luck finding somewhere to park a Chevy.
+Miranda Fegan Canadians bring their own.
Geoff looks about 6 without some sort of facial hair
You'd think Geoff would like this seeing how he likes to play inverted.
well not really. Back in the day most games were inverted and it's what a lot of us retro gamers are used to.
I don't understand how people can play inverted. It's just so weird.
+A Very Nice Person My very first FPS was inverted by default and I couldn't figure out how to reverse it in the settings, so I just stuck with it, and now I play everything inverted.
A tasty onion not at all. Anything you operate in real life will be inverted. Forklifts, heavy machinery, planes, etc. It makes more sense to play video games inverted.
Red Faction is the reason I play inverted. On PS2, the default settings are Inverted. I just got used to it.
Geoff looks so damned young
well I mean this was recorded 18 years ago
You mean 8? lol
I love seeing all these comments about how young Geoff looks.... from six years ago..
Its so bizarre. This video is like 12 years old
Real Life Achievements could be a great series if they carried on with it!
I would have to agree, I wish they would continue it.
I miss these :) I guess Happy Hour is essentially the same though :P
I fucking love being English.
Who wouldn't?
Phoenix Dragon People who aren't English?
Probably. But that is their loss.
What brought that on? Geez...and what revolution anyway? There has been...more than one in the world you know.
cody marino That escalated quickly. I also wish to know which revolution you're referring to.
God this seems forever ago.
I would be a terrible driver if I went to England. I'm a bad enough driver in America.
*Insert woman driver joke here*
....I don't know anything about woman drivers except that I have been bumped in parking lots 4 times... all by woman drivers...
***** I know right?
lol Insert.
Why was helen keller a bad driver?
because she was a woman.
True story
I was like oh thats so weird and then I realised, thats how we drive in Australia so why am I so confused...
Don't worry I'm Australian too and even I got confused XD I think it's because they keep saying left and right so many times
Seriously need more real life achievements
These last 6 years have been rough on Geoff..
Cause he drinks like 10 beers an hour, even when sleeping
+TheCakenukeism I am in utter believement of you.
+TheCakenukeism He actually just hooks up an IV drip at night
"in the zebra crossing you have to stop and let the people cross"
Wait, isnt it like that in the whole world? SHOULDNT it be like that in the whole world?!
AdanPlays no its mostly if the person is polite.. well atleast in iceland
Stefan Ringsted You're supposed to in the States, but a lot of drivers won't yield to pedestrians here. I've nearly been run over several times while walking to and from classes.
***** be nice, but that probably won't happen.
Yeah it’s called jaywalking
@@justinayala6461 That's only for crossing in undesignated places which is a pretty stupid thing to do. The original comment was in regards to pedestrians crossing on pedestrian crossings. That's not jaywalking so unless you misunderstood the point, that's the sort of attitude that sees so many pedestrians getting run over
recommended to me 10 years later
Geoff looks younger here than gavin does now
How many people that we're driving behind Geoff do you think said or thought "They're from America."
If it was me, it would simply be: "What the hell is this idiot doing?"
Yeah, that's probably more likely.
Funny thing though, when I went to Europe (Spain, France, Germany) they all said that by far the worst drivers are from the UK.
Oh, yeah, definetly. My German French teacher told us stories. (she's German, but she teaches french)
I miss geoff
America doesn't have zebra crossings? Seriously? Traffic dodging must be a national sport.
We kind of do we have the traffic lights but then we also have stop signs which inform the drivers to pause for pedestrians.
Jack Dustin
We have those too, but no zebra crossings? At all? I genuinely would not have seen that coming.
Zebra crossings for us are just yellow and usually in parking lots, school zones, or resident areas. Otherwise we just have stoplights and mostly people j-walk.
We do have them we just call them crosswalks
We have the same sort of setup with out the striped poles but nobody stops unless there's a stop sign.
I want more of the American achievement hunters driving I the uk
It must be me, but Geoff sounds different without his Glorious Mustache. Then again this video is 4 years old
5 now!
MLGMagnesium 7 now
8 now!
I love how Gavin, who doesn't drive, is giving Geoff instructions. I guess you pick up a lot just living in the country.
Seems strange but I reacted the EXACT same way Geoff did when I drove in Edinburgh for the same time. It is such a shock going from driving in America to the UK.... The worst part was coming back to America and having it feel just as creepy to be back on the right side of the road after driving for 6 months in the UK.
Real Life Achievements need to be brought back. D';
Love it
Why doesn't Gav and Geoff have a team name?? Or do they??
I feel bad for Geoff, I would freak out with the difference.
that's right!! I completely forgot!! Thank you!
It is so weird seeing Geoff this clean, sober and awake.
they should have filmed the whole road trip
make more of these please;(
Gavin: "I'm a good driving instructor"
Also gavin: *still no license in America or England*
you know what they say, "those that can't do, teach"
Was he seriously driving in 1st the whole way there? Why isn't the British guy helping him?
Gavin doesn't have a driving licence
Matthew Dawson he doesn't have a American license he has a uk one though
+Brandon Burns I'm pretty sure Gavin has said that he's finished the driving lessons in the UK, but just never went to get his liscense.
pretty sure it's just a diesel car and that's why it sounds dumb.
vibeuk2003 he only went like 8 miles an hour. Most cars will do up to like 15 to 20 in first. Most of the driving in this video or cities in general is the same as driving in a parking lot. 1st and 2nd. And he hits 2nd at least once.
Geoff looks so young!!!
Id love to see all the crew in England and Gavin showing them everything
10/10 video
The good ole days
hahahaha omg looking back at this young Geoff does not look Team Gents approved but we all know he is a gent in heart
I thought you had zebra crossings in America...
We do, but they're called Crosswalks.
Oh right
TheMoreYouKnow
=============★
Kfor Kira Is that an american reference, i've heard it on family guy but never got it...
Zak Penrith lololololol
10 years later - still bizarre seeing young geoff x2 mulitplier - especially with familiar uk backgrounds
Sounds like Geoff's in first gear all the way
That car just sounds so unhealthy.
That's because it's a Peugeot.
Sounds like a diesel.
How many mainstream games have this driving position? The only one I've played is Dead Island.
Some of Truck Simulator, I'm not sure if that is mainstream or not...
I think Gran Turismo 5 and GRID have it depending on the car you're driving - probably the Japanese cars. It's been a while since I played either of those though.
Some of the cars in Forza
Arma 2 and I think Arma 3 have some also.
A couple cars in Forza.
2021 and it’s still amazing!
how did geoff age 30 years in 10 years
I think Gavin is the reason...
I was born just up the road from Edinburgh!
+Snottco You spell it Edinburgh but Gavin pronounced it Edinbruh?
+Michael Moen yes but it isn't originally from.the English language it is from Gaelic (which is actually pronounced "gaylik")
+Michael Moen its pronounced 'Ed-in-burgh-ha' Geoff says it weird in a bunch of videos
+Snottco dumfermline?
adlovett98 nah dundee not next door but close
Whoa, clean shaven Geoff. He looks so young.
i wish they did more of these
Yeah, Gavin and Geoff's team name is Plan G.
watching geoff without a beard is weird
please do more of these !!!
It does feel weird driving on the left😂😂
Woah!! Geoff without a mustache..
2021 anyone ?
Yup. It's nice to see videos from much nicer times
Geoff is brave. I would be *WAY* too scared to try to drive in a country where people drive on the left. At least without going through weeks of training.
It's not so bad but when I came back, I accidently turned onto the wrong side of the road!
Honestly, it doesn't take long to get into the habit. The part that I find most shocking is the fact that he's doing it for the first time in the middle of London from what I could tell
The curb at the end.... brilliant.
I saw my house. XD
+Kazusa Azumaya Thats fucken metal!!!!!
+Mean “Iron” Wizard ok...?
+Kazusa Azumaya iron man
Do they not have zebra crossings
Some places we do, but for the most part it's just cross walks at traffic lights
some places like Florida you have to stop for pedestrians at designated marks, even if it's on a highway where people do 55MPH. In New York, the pedestrians must wait for the traffic light to change before they can cross.
There are crossings where you have to stop for waiting pedestrians, but they aren't called Zebra crossings - they are "crosswalks" in US English. They don't have Belisha beacons, though they may have some other form of warning lights if they aren't at an intersection - there's one near my home that has lights that flash automatically when someone is crossing. Also here in Oregon all intersections are legally crosswalks whether they are marked as such or not.
Back when Geoff was actually happy...
I get a lot of secondhand stress watching Geoff have to drive like this.
Geoff with no facial hair looks weird...
Why did they stop this.
God save the Queen.
Goddamn so was Gavin a literal fetus sitting in the passengers seat??
Pre-Happy Hour
at first I was wondering why Gavin didn't just drive, but then I remembered he doesn't have his license
Kelly Larsen I don't know if he does in England but he doesn't have an American license
@@poisontaco55 He never had one in the UK either
At the end where Gavin says there's another zebra crossing - that's a pelican crossing, because of the lights there.
...You've got to be fucking kidding me. Can I have a fucking Yeti crossing? Just snow everywhere?
I've never in my life heard of a pelican crossing....
I love seeing these old classic rooster teeth videos! Brings me back to the good times :,)
In the UK we drive standard more then autos
***** Not heard of those
***** No we drive hatchbacks iv seen them in the USA i had a 2001 Ford Fiesta for years now i have a 2015 BMW 116D two cars that are not sold in the usa there both in my videos
***** we also don't really do automatics
***** No we have smaller cars and automatics in a 1.2 not nice to drive so most people have a "Stick shift" automatics are lazy to drive to and sticks keep you engaged and our roads are more engaging to drive on
***** I think it's a better place
That is so wrong. Driving on the left is just.....No lol
Welcome to the UK over here we do things a little bit differently :)
Three years of Gavin and hard liquor will do that to a person.
aw man god save the queen
I got my US license at 16 and my UK license at 17 and split my time between countries, it's certainly and adventure when your brain accidentally defaults to the wrong side. I find driving a manual actually helps, it reminds you what side of the car you're sitting on.
God Geoff looks like he's 25
Driving on the left is the normal way.
HAJ Studios Not for the majority of the world
Well yeah, but you know how america likes to twist everything we gave them around.
thatguyyousawinasda Except for the fact that the first drivers drove on the right side.
k then
XD the first drivers did not drive on the right hand side.....
Driving on the left comes from a long history based on horse riding and chariot driving, you would always ride/drive on the left as your right arm was your sword arm, therefore you would need to be on the left of your opponent to be able to easily get an effective strike, this continued with the introduction of carriages and it's why the drivers seat is also on the right, to be closest to any oncoming drivers for an easier attack.
But then again, America is too young to understand or have such a history to explain anything they do.
I dont get it....he is on the right side....
Driving in the left lane instead of the right lane
[comment removed, to awesome for you guys]
For me, becuz im in australia, this is just absolutely normal xD
Same. Watching Americans drive right-handed cars makes my day.
Wouldn't it make more sense to have the stronger hand on the wheel, not the stick?
This is gonna sound weird but you don't really do much with the wheel compared to the stick, cars nowadays have really light steering.
The light changes from red to yellow then to green too??
why is that weird?
Or you could just come to Scotland. :)
Omg we were all so young
Considering most cars in England are manual transmission...I guess it makes sense why Gavin never wanted to drive lol
i find this funny because i am an american, my car is american, but my steering wheel and pedals are like this. But its an automatic and the pedals arent reversed. Hooray for surplus postal vehicles!
As someone who was raised in North America, driving on the left is very odd indeed.
Ge-Off is the true definition of a peugeot driver lol
I remember going to France with school, and we're British and the coach drivers were British and it's all on the right in France and most other countries and it's really disorientating.
omg Geoff looks so young, 10 yrs ago he looks half his age
Then why not show him how to change gear. The fuel he was wasting
Why is this in my recommended now?
Geoff looks really weird without his moustache...
10 years later I’m back. ❤️ I miss this
Wow he aged real well...
it't only in england that rule applies, in the rest of europe it's normal
I'm confused... Are you seriously allowed to go on vacation from the U.S. to England and are allowed to drive?
Yes. This is the same with a person coming from England to the U.S.
Miss you Geoff
