The green cel shading on the main headsculpt's hair is really appreciated and helps him look like he came right out of the show. Very impressed with how Bandai was able to capture Yusuke in figure form and am hoping to see the rest of Team Urameshi get made
See tamashii we don't need gundam knees and revoltech shoulders to make a good figure. I'm so glad this figure is great i've been wanting yu yu hakusho figures for sooo long. hopefully they continue the main cast and keep up the quality.
I think Figuarts has been killing it on the sculpts in recent years for pretty much all of their lines! If they can just stop over-designing the articulation (mainly an issue with One Piece) and add a bit more paint/make them look less like plastic, we'd be in a golden era
The problem here is that S.H. Figuarts is one line presiding over multiple teams, all with different ideas, standards, levels of enthusiasm/passion and skills. You see S.H. Figuarts as a brand, and you think it's one cohesive line, where products are roughly on the same level. But no, it's several disparate teams, isolated, like islands, doing work under the general S.H. Figuarts name. And that's the issue. Depending on what team you get, you could either get 5/10 figures, or 9/10 figures, and that's not how it should be. They should aim for something more consistent, have the teams cooperate more and establish a baseline. Don't have every team separately approach engineering commonplace sculpts like pants, but instead have them develop the ideal solutions and then share them. For SHF to be as good as it can be, they have to try and unite these different teams and establish a singular standard to the best of their abilities.
@@Zakjuh Very true! I don't collect them, but for example their Ultraman/Kamen Rider or MCU figures all look pretty great for the most part! Tons of detail and paint to accurately capture the look of the characters. Granted, those designs are more complicated than stuff like Naruto or One Piece since they're from live action franchises, but a similar level of finish (i.e. not looking like shiny plastic) would do wonders for their anime lines
@@ZakjuhYeah, that's the sad part. If we think of Bandai as Hasbro, we could say the Dragon Ball and One Piece lines are part of Marvel Legends and Tanjiro and Yusuke are GI Joe Classified releases lol
Get this figure on the desk of every designer for the DB line. This is the standard I expect for a modern martial artist figure. Clean, effective, and would you believe it? Lean proportions on a 3.0 figure! It's like someone else at Tamashii realized the Naruto line exists. No stocky proportions on everybody, no short necks with no range, no thigh scoops, no rubber shirts, ffs no single knees, and no gigantic heads with baby faces.
Yusuke Urameshi is my Favorite Anime Character of All Time. Yu Yu Hakusho got me into anime, now as a collector he’s one of the ones I’ve been waiting for 👌🏾.
Didn’t expect a Yu Yu hakusho review from you but I’m very glad you did it anyways. Very big fan of the series and very glad they didn’t disappoint with this release. I’m hoping this video helps with this figure sales since from the looks of it, it won’t be selling that much. It is an older series so it kinda makes sense.
Schierke was good for what she was. Isidro looks like he should be fine (although only time will tell) and Zodd looks like he'll be a good figure depending on the final QC. So what you really want is probably a good Guts and Griffith, and I agree. Personally, I thought the Heat of Passion is amazing............... except for the fact that his shoulders are doomed to pop apart and break because they're tiny ball-hinge sized joints that are fighting 3 layers of armor and the arm sculpt.....
I love this figure. Mine just came in the other day and I couldn't put it down. I really look forward to them doing the other 3 boy's and Toguro looks just sick.
I'm not a big yuyu fan but a great figure is a great figure and he looks like he stepped right out of the show with a little extra thickness here and there to make a more satisfying figure. I'm amazed it took them this long to use the kid goku shoulder articulation somewhere else.
Thank God the anime/manga I love the most got the best figure from the very start. I hope we get the whole main cast but I'm happy with just him and Toguro.
love this anime. this figure looks great(minus the yellow shoulders not matching the rest of the shirt), hopefully they do the other 3 main characters as well
Naruto line treatment. Straight peak. One Piece and Bleach could never and WHY😭 this is so good and it just makes me hate every other anime I like that gets just mid to actual trash figures
I don’t know why they didn’t start with his green school outfit first. Looks great and I hope the rest of the team comes out just as good. Hiei is my favorite from the team so I hope he’s next.
Saludos desde argentina . Yo compré hace unos meses a todos los personajes por AliExpress. Impresionante la calidad y la articulación y es más , usan ropa de tela Ahora voy por slam dunk
I hope it is the camera making the yellow that color... Tho I do wish they painted that or added shading tho? He does kinda seem he had a white shirt on for like 4 months on and never washed it from the color there. Hope in person it doesn't seem like that at all and is an actual nice color.
I have no idea why Bandai puts more effort in certain lines than others lol The Mashle line has great articulation too and that's really surprising since the characters wear wizard robes.
I would but since i don't really have much desire to buy them it's very unlikely. Either getting review samples (it's happened once with DF) or borrowing (upcoming Kid Buu from my brother) are really my only options
Damn I was going to skip this one but damn it’s a good figure. Hey Ant’ you should check out some of the Jujustu Kaisen sh figuarts. Those always come with blast effects and they have great articulation because they use the fighting body molds.
@@brixzusjaeger3385 I forgot about JJK 0 Gojo and Geto. Still though, that's only just 3 figures, when you said they always come with blast effects which implies all of them do lol. Any how, even if Anthony wanted to review the JJK line up they are all going for a ton of money these days.. Megumi and Nobara are the only 2 you can still find at a decent price if you look hard enough.
@@omegashenron8 yeah my mistake for making it sound like they all have blast effects. Most of them come with weapons so you are getting a good amount of accessories though. Even the Chainsaw man figures are loaded with good accessories. I just wish ant’ would review some of those figures because I think he’s missing out on the best sh figuarts out there.
I think Shueisha really oversee this projects and wish it takes off. Dragon ball and One piece can not be so good. So fans have to keep buying new versions.
Figuarts must be the same as Hasbro, whereas their different lines are completely compartmentalized from each other and don’t share any designs or molds or any sort of insight whatsoever.
To not share insight is mind boggling. With as many lines as bandai Japan has, there has to be overlap unless their company is much bigger or their teams are much smaller than i thought

It feels like S.H. Figuarts went back to OG stuff like when the 1st manga Piccolo and ssj Goku came out in 2012
I’m glad this figure has good articulation, makes me glad I preordered it.
It’s great all around figure but I kinda wish we had a Yusuke in his default green outfit. Perhaps they’re saving that for later!
im sure theyll get around to it
U mean his school uniform?
Yeah it would be cooler

Yusuke is one of those releases where everything feels like it was pretty much done right and I'm glad cause I love Yu Yu Hakusho 🔥
Easily my favorite figurarts next to Kazuya. Best articulation they’ve ever done. It feels like
Fun Fact, we call him Eugene here in the Philippines and he is damn famous here with his arch enemy Taguro
I'm interested in watching Yu Yu Hakusho in addition to getting this
The show is good it made by the same person who made Hunter x Hunter
never been this early to a anthonycustoms vid🔥
Great review! I gotta get this! It'll be a great replacement to the Dasin figs I have. Great anime as well 👌
