Bowie actually liked being interviewed. All other celebrities claim they hate discussing their careers, life etc. Bowie can talk and charm and flirt with them all.
He absolutely did NOT like being interviewed from basically mid 80's on. He was sick and tired of the same old cliched questions about being Bi and a "Chameleon" It's part of the reason he dropped out and removed himself from any sort of social setting
There is nobody like him. His look, his aura, his creativity, his articulation, and his quiet charisma. Such an extraordinary mix of down to earth and otherworldly.

Since the interview is in Norway, curious fact: Bowie's song "Cat People" had been the fifth best-selling song in Norway in the entire 80s, it was number 1 for 8 weeks.
I am not the press I am not writing a story or an article about David Bowie. And yet I know how much he despises be labeled, and yet she is continually doing so. I think he was dam polite. She needs to do her homework.
I think maybe the interviewer was intimidated by Bowie. I think this is why her questions were so strange. If I was in a room alone with David Bowie, I'm pretty sure I'd start acting strange also lol. You won't find too many people like him in the world.
I think I saw this tour in Detroit, back then, he wore sandals and some flowy kind of long shirt and was just totally laid back. Of course he just made $50 mil from selling the royalties to those songs for 10 yrs. or so he's talking about, he forgot to mention, he was real shrewd in business and made some killer deal.
Am I the only person that actually likes (the first) Tin Machine album? AND liked it when it came out. I was 17 when it was released, so I guess I didn’t have the weight of being there, when his 70s output came out, to influence my feelings. I was just emerging from a 4 year deep deep obsession with metal/thrash, so for me it was Bowie being heavy rock, it to me felt relevant, fun, he looked amazing (for what I saw as an oldie) and it helped with my transition in tastes. Tin Machine II is another discussion 😂
I like them both! Especially the second one, which is more nuanced and varied musically. It has some great songs - although let down by the two from Hunt Sales.
@@stevetaylor317 I think the critics destroyed those albums. But 30++ years hindsight and they stand up better than Tonight or Never Let Me Down. Which have aged well too with hindsight.

Probably because his serious drug/drink use was only for a few years c.74-77. He gave up alcohol about 1980. And because he had (according to himself 😁) very good health otherwise and was always quite fit in an athletic kind of way. Good genes I guess. ☺️
