This is a gem! I mostly use Live for creative effects on vocals and guitar. I was already using Corpus to make massive gong sounds from a single acoustic guitar pluck This video made me realise how many different things Echo can actually do! I could possibly simplify my chains a whole lot by making gritty textures and reverbs through Echo. Very very cool!
On the Corpus you can change between different type of "Resonance Type" Beam, Marimba, String, Membrane, Plate, Pipe, Tube it can really spice up the sound
Inspiring and creative. A refreshing video. Music today needs more experimental sound design. True organic sounds. Liked and subscribed. Thank you for your creativity 😁💯
That Izotope Iris 2 going around for free lately is *awesome* for drone, too. Honestly, I do stuff like this all the time, just with actual source used. :) I love that you found a way to do it with no source. Most of my fun is with the Ableton transport standing still. I just record the output elsewhere, voila, it's like a giant (digital) modular system. Never gets old or boring. Cheers.
@@Tutybanana About to play with mine again. :) I've had a 'Drone A Day' week, so found Ned's video timely. Iris 2 uses samples. They call it a synth, but of a nature that is right up my alley. I take simple sources (samples...) and take them extreme places, much like Ned here with the Noise-- I even call it 'making noise', so hehe. I've been taking my favorite samples of the last few years and dropping them in Iris.... Superfuntimes. Enjoy.
@@BrapAllgood yeah i wanted this synth anyway for some field recordin projects, the spectral manipulation i saw in some videos earlier sounds super neat. I'm gonna have fun tonight, cheers! x')
I got Loom 2 for 15 bucks to also get Iris 2. The sounds of Loom 2 are great as well, even just as a preset machine because it seems famous for having a gui that's a pita. I can see why but I haven't tried any serious programming with it yet. I've still had time to explore Iris 2 but looking forward to it.
This was so sick + subbed. My only thing to say would be maybe make your mouse a little bigger? When I was watching on my phone at times I was struggling to see what exactly you were tweaking.
for some weeks getting into your tutorial on break beats or exp things , a big thanks , you bring lots of directions to dig in! is someoe already told you your earlier tutorial seems to be made by Rick from "rick & morty" , top contents !!
yes! if u make a new track and change its input to "resampling" then arm it, you can record these noises!!! resampling lets u record other tracks into other tracks it is super useful. pro-tip: solo the tracks u wanna record if u only wanna do specific ones
I've just done something similar after watching this video. I routed the audio channel that contained the effects to another audio channel thinking I'd be able to record it that way and have an audio file of the sounds created by the effects chain but, although an audio file was created, it was completely silent. Does anyone know how to create an audio file from the sound created by the effects chain?
the beginning sounds like an atonal version or 'mr kill myself' and the end sounds like a brighter version of 'love is a mighty big word' both by Sewerslvt
Hey man! Sorry if its a dumb question, but how do I get to your discord? :D Also: All I need to get back into my audio production shizzle roots is your channel. love it. *zyshhh* *beer opened*-
If you put an LFO on the L/R Echo time knobs and set the LFO rate to 0.01 you get a slow moving time effect that sounds amazing
when you said "woow... yyeeeeEEEAAAH this is GREAT i LUV it" i instantly thought "no, i love YOU, YOU are great"
I love your sense of humor almost as much as the mad sound design techniques
Ned: Wow
Me: WOW
WOW
woww
MOW, no, MOM, no, WOM, hmm no, WOW, a little reverb, whhhooooaawwww, ah yes! Ned is my new spirit animal, ADD and random flowing madness!
Saaaame omg, it's kinda nerdy but yeah... I feel it deep man haha
Ned, please make more videos taking us on an audio journey. This is too cool
Ah NED your the best !! 5.41 you had me in tears “this is fsckin sick!!” Don’t ever stop making videos!!!

"OHHH YYYEEEEeeeeEEeeeeeAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH... ouuuH maybe lets put a compresor on, just to be on the safe side" (LOVE U NED!!)
absolute madness, had some fun with this today, adding LFO's to modulate just about everything and just letting it play, sounds crazy

Beam and plate are the best!
I have a job interview tommorow and now all I want to do is make noises with echo and 10 reverbs+1 haha
you’re right - THIS IS FUCKING SICK !!!
YES. Ned Rush ambient album needed.
Don’t encourage me.
this is crazy
I was looking for you all my life...:) sickest stuff at internets!thanks for sharing
:)
I used roar alien effect on this and this was fun. Sliced it after for 4 bars long via time resonator with lfo on freeze.

Just found this video, subscribed within 30 seconds. Love it!
Awesome! Thank you!
You’re not a real producer unless you react like this to cool sounds
10 years on nothing has changed, just keep it going!!!

Yes! Half Life 1 Sounds!
i love this comment :p i actually have the sounds folder from the game in my sample library, Kelly Bailey's sound design is a pleasure to sample
Very cool and very helpful. Tnx

Nice stuff, great share👍🏼

Far out man !
love your enthusiasm!
Man I don't think you can even imagine how my mind is blown right now ! sick video, sick idea ! thanks a lot
after experimenting with this technique I came up with sick organic atmospheres for my tracks. One more time, thanks a lot mate !
absolutely insane, had me commenting when I’m usually too lazy to do so
This is magical.
Cool 80's film score knowledge bro /thumbs
U are a gem
i like this guy
i'd like to know more about what you did with the resonator
This is awesome
Brilliant as always
Thank's a lot for inspiration
awesome
owen wilson would love this
WOOOOOOOOW
siiiick! thank you for sharing this!
sounds like my 'no input' improvs using just a mixer & few patch cords. i too began by almost blowing out my eardrums!
You don’t regularly use mfl lfos? I can’t help but use them every time I’m in abelton, they’re so much fun!
Well done and thanks for this! :)
Great channel and great sounds. Really informative!

Thank you for bring this to me
Had so much fucking fun with this.
On Ableton Live Echo when the feedback is around 110 and upwards the sound gets a high pitch horror sound effect to it
Stop those sounds it´s f...! Nice video Rush!
I've been playing with this for a while and i have opened a seventh gate of hell
Hey! This video is amazing i am learning Ableton and i need help trying to export this. How is that possible?
yes! if u make a new track and change its input to "resampling" then arm it, you can record these noises!!! resampling lets u record other tracks into other tracks it is super useful. pro-tip: solo the tracks u wanna record if u only wanna do specific ones
Could you route each different pitches out of the resonator to the different reverbs
duuuuuuuuuude thank you for this!
Lets just throw on 10 reverbs lol ........ you're nuts but brilliant :)
THANKS MAN! Really inspiring!!!
Anything.
sick mannn liked nd subbed legend
It is fucking sick wooooooooooo
This is so dope, I was looking for something similar to create for my channel #Musicotherapy
"Vid-Day-Yo" lol
More ambient pleeeease n

"How to listen Area 51 music without getting shot by using Ableton Live 10"
My sound keeps changing abruptly I think it might have to do with the changing LFO would you know?
how can you record that?

Pan dimensional ambient indeed :)
Videiouuu
I just came up sober when you raised the wet on corpus!
love your vdios jjjjjjj
This is fuckin great
This is great 😂
Make more drone VIDEOS!!!!!!
Waaaaaaawww
Anyone know how to do this in logic?
How do I get something like this to actually record into ableton?
Great an audio track and select resample from the io. Then record into that track.
@@NedRush Wow, fast response. Thanks man!!
Man my cpu would kick my ass if i even thought of doing this
set a real high buffer and then make a render a few mins long.. re-import to ne project as sample
I'm disappointed you didn't switch Echo's reverb mode to Feedback.
Wow! Oooh! Yeah! xD
牛逼,兄弟
a.k.a how to Hafler Trio
