This morning I finally ordered a Riffe Euro, my first new gun in over a decade, after months of deliberation. If Id known there was a company producing wood guns locally, the decision would have been easy. Some unbelievably cruel twist of fate that this video pops up for me not 30 minutes after I got the email confirming my order had shipped. Gonna have to seriously consider returning it once it arrives, Brett's guns are absolutely gorgeous.
Mr, I have never saved one of your videos... but im savin this one. Your Wifes civechi!! ( spelling lol) ... when i lived in Ukee i had a friend that made it, but i long since forgot how to. I tried it out of memory with a yellowtail and it was a hard fail! We used Black Rockfish in ukee... thanks again sir!
Yeah man no worries! Her ceviche is awesome. So many equally impressive recipes though. We've done it with black rockfish and lingcod but so far greenling has been our favorite. I could see yellowtail being good though!
Yeah dude it's delicious! Lots of work and a little pricey but worth it. So many recipes out there, I think we'll try it with strawberries at some point this summer.
Haha cheers. I'm assuming they haven't tried it yet? Maybe they have the cilantro gene haha. Don't know how anyone couldn't love ceviche. It's freakin delicious!
Settle down Brett...we are locals....let Chris talk!! Watching now...comments to come. May 12th I head up north, to my sister's celebration of life, and would love to come check it out, but family calls. Let's rock this video! Ps...love the slow-mo anemones lol Omg...laughed at "thats the best"...absolutely gobsmacked at how they've grown, in such a short period lol, but then again i have 4 kids ❤
Haha Brett's the man! He grew up around Nanaimo. More of a local than I'll ever be. Damn man, sorry to hear about that. That's a hard one to swallow. My condolences.
@@PNWSamsonI saw it coming for 5yrs. A life with hard substances, is nothing to play around with, so I am going up to my parents home, and building a huge bench setup, in honor for my younger sis, and my mom. I want to keep the build secret, till her day, and unveiling for all who celebrate my sis. Much love. It's bedtime, but I need this video Chris
Mango civicie, I'll have to give it a go here in Australia with Coral Trout or Snapper. Yep, I remember having the take the kids everywhere, very tiring.
Hmm. You'll need a proper wetsuit if you plan to dive in the winter. You might be able to manage with a surf suit if you keep it shallow and only dive in the warmer part of the summer. Where do you plan on diving? The time and areas you dive/snorkel will influence water temperature the greatest. My recommendation would be to keep an eye for some used freediving gear, like an open cell 7mm wetsuit and also buy some 5mm open cell gloves and socks for the winter. In the summer, 2-3mm gloves usually work as the surface temperature stays warm. Unfortunately, the gear can be expensive.
Hey dude! No minimum size. Same with rockfish, just a daily limit but no size restriction. I aim for the mid size typically but I've shot larger and smaller ones too.

Oh crazy dude, bad timing haha. They are a beautiful gun, and the local touches like the lingcod are golden. Definitely nice to support local!
Thanks @PugetSoundSpearo I appreciate that. Don’t worry I’m not going anywhere, I’ll always be around for your next one 👍🏼
New logo looks great. That dinner looked great.
Thanks man! Dinner was awesome! 😎

Love it. I put mangos and Cilantro on my tacos. total game changer :)
Yeah bro, so good! Now I want tacos haha.
Nice video dude! I just messaged him last week and was going to check his shop sometime haha! Love the ceviche!
Oh, no way! What a coincidence. Brett's awesome, good to support small businesses.
Awesome! I'm certainly going to try that recipe out, especially as Greenling are open year round for us (Nanaimo area).

Great video thanks for sharing it..
Thanks man and no worries!
Thanks for helping spread the word for Party for the Ocean buddy. See ya there!
You bet man! And no worries at all.
How do people get involved in the clean ups? Been trying to get in touch for a while!
@@sarahhughes4343 I think it's super competitive haha. Only so much room on the boats and lots of people want to help. It's been on my list too!
So glad you made a video about green ling ceviche! I haven't tried it yet and all my friends are hating on it. I'll have to show them how it goes.
Haha cheers. I'm assuming they haven't tried it yet? Maybe they have the cilantro gene haha. Don't know how anyone couldn't love ceviche. It's freakin delicious!
Nice edit. I like the meal prep as much as the diving. 👍👍
Thanks man! Not much diving in this one so that's good to hear haha. Cheers

Still want to know about that lead thing you wear on your neck! ;) haha
Haha sorry man! My list is a long one. Next video! 🤞
Ok...I'm curious too
@@PNWSamson Love it bro! I keep coming back for a lot of reasons. That is just one of them. 😂
Is there a cost effective way to get a nice swim suit with gloves for foraging?
