    Awesome video! We are planning on a trip on New Year's week. Can't wait to get the kiddos involved. He's a good guide I've seen a few good posts on FB. What people don't seem to understand is red lake Nation is a sovereign nation and they have treaty rights and own government and laws. Its a pretty good honor to go and fish and help the local economy out!

    The Ladies of the Outdoors are rock’in it . Fun stuff. I really want to try this. Looks like a total blast. 😃 I like to camp on the ice, guessing that’s not allowed? My step mom is Ojibwa of the Turtle Lake Band, she lives forever in my heart. If she were here, I know we would enjoy this 💯🤙🏻🙂

    I feel this might have been a great opportunity to put FFS in and turn on and off to see if it effects them.🤔🤷‍♂️

      I'm from Minnesota also, its all dependent on the thickness of the ice, and where you're at on lake, sound like they're close to shore so imo the ice is more than strong enough, for four people, the tent and some gear, even in "lake country" center of Minnesota, the ice is thick enough for trucks to drive on as long as weather allows

      I wasn't even considering the ice thickness. I assumed it was thick enough. I was referring to the big square hole that was big enough for all of them to fall into and no PFD'S

    Sorry, I lived up there for too many years to know better than to go on the reservation. Looks fun though.

    I am an avid ice fisherman and I don't think I would be cutting a big hole with only about 2 inches of ice.

    I’m too clumsy for this… my dumb ass is falling in for sure

      LOL maybe it's not for everybody. Nor do you need to cut that big of hole. There were 4 of us plus i wanted to film so we needed the space.

    The problem with this is continuing to what our federal government continues to allow natives to do that we cannot, no hate but im as much a native American as anyone else, if you want to say different then why .I shouldn't have to buy a special license to fish waters in Minnesota i already bought a license for a state license

      Lower Red Lake isn't in Minnesota- it's in Red Lake Nation. Read up on treaties.

    • @stevebrown7271

      @@nickbrown1342 and where is red lake nation? MINNESOTA

    • @nickbrown1342
      @nickbrown1342 7 днів тому +1

      @stevebrown7271 No, it isn't. It's surrounded by Minnesota. It's a sovereign nation. Seriously, read about it.

      @nickbrown1342 I've read the treaties that doesn't mean I agree with them 😊

    Catching trout in a small, man stocked lake is not fishing....

  • @slayerstacker2074
    @slayerstacker2074 7 днів тому

    Why do these trout not reproduce? Are they raised sterile? If so, why would they do this? All the trout stocked will not be caught. Some will live long enough to reproduce if they had the ability. In my opinion the ones stocking the trout are hurting themselves by doing this.

    • @NicoleStoneOutdoors

      I think this is stocked only. But a good question for you to reach out to him about.
