I sent my pixel 7 back a few days ago. I discovered that the battery life/drain is extremely bad. Low/medium use would easily kill the battery by early evening. Secondly, the finger print ready isn't the best. Otherwise, great phone. Just not for me.
@@airrunner85 thanks for your input, that really is a concern I have. Most reviews I see talk about 5-6h screen on time, and I saw a battery drain that lasted for 10+ hours. Does this not correspond to your experience?
@@diogomarques7479 Definitely not my experience. I class myself as a low user. It would barely make it to 20% by 7pm. I've decided to go for the Samsung ultra s22. I personally don't see the need for people to have more than 128 GB storage unless you're playing multiple mobile open-world games. For the most part, people store a ton of photos/music - music doesn't take a lot of storage even for a library spanning years not to mention streaming only what you need, and photos shouldn't only be stored on your phone but cloud storage as well like google photos/self-hosted nextcloud etc. If you NEED a large amount of storage, then you're just storing all your photos locally on your phone, which means that you don't necessarily care for data loss (if you were you'd follow 3,2,1 data redundancy rule), which means you don't value your data/photos - making the single-point of failure large storage size pointless.

The Pixel 7 Pro looks like just bring too big to comfortably fit in my pocket, so it'll likely be the Pixel 7 when the security support runs out on my Pixel 5 later this year. All that puts me off the Pixel 7A is the low light camera performance, but I'd love to have the telephoto lens on the 7 Pro. The only nice to have for me would be a dual SIM tray, as getting an e-SIM in some countries is just impossible

Just bought the 7 Pro, changed up from Samsung Note 20. Glad I changed, very nice phone, not a heavy phone user and battery last 2 and a half days - bloody amazing! No way I was going to take out a mortgage to buy the S23 Ultra, gone like Apple - slap a stupid price tag on it and dummies will still pay up.
Let me put it this way... S23u can run genshin and star rail, at the same time, in the same screen, with a browser open in the same screen, and music playing from your dedicated music app... And it doesn't stutter. Try that with the 7 Pro and let me know how that goes for you. The price tag comes with actual power... not gimmicks and cute software perks... The s23u is an power-user device for a reason...
I had the 6 for a while but it developed an issue where no one could hear me talking on a call unless I used the speaker option. Kind of put me off a bit and went to the big S instead. Do like the pixels though 👍
The fact that there is no dual physical SIM is something that didn't make me get a pixel. S23 Ultra has options for all (2x physical /1 physical and 1 eSIM) makes it so much more flexible and I'm able to access the cheapest SIM deals
I'm thinking of going all the way for the 7 Pro with a good sale and trade in value for my 5a. I may talk myself down to the 7 once I think about do I really need that telephoto but the 7a doesn't make me want to get that over the 7 or 7 Pro

wanted to buy 7 or 7a but my old redmi note 7 still working and i think i can wait for 8a (hope it will be also small) with 7 years for updates (because pixel 7 is not very new anymore and not many years of support left)
Very tempting to buy a Pixel except there's no SD memory card or 3.5mm headphone jack. I hate those bluetooth ear buds and having to recharge them all the time plus I think the 3.5mm cord gives a better sound. My Redmi Note 11 Pro charges at 67 watts so Google need to pull the finger out there and fix things in the Pixel 8 Pro.
The 7a kind of deserves to be priced that high although it is kind of out of my reach it is also better than I expected. Honestly apert from the plastic can it even be rated as a mid ranger?

The Pixel 7 Pro looks like just bring too big to comfortably fit in my pocket, so it'll likely be the Pixel 7 when the security support runs out on my Pixel 5 later this year. All that puts me off the Pixel 7A is the low light camera performance, but I'd love to have the telephoto lens on the 7 Pro. The only nice to have for me would be a dual SIM tray, as getting an e-SIM in some countries is just impossible
i came from the pixel 5 to the pixel 7. The pixel 7 seems big compared to the 5. i think the pixel 5 was the best size. I cannot imagine using the pixel 7 pro, it seems way to big.
I like big for when I'm watching u tube but sadly it's a little out of my price range so the 7 it is.
Is the pixel 7a a lot better than the regular 6 ? Is it worth upgrading ? (Regardless of the face unlock and front cam)
No
Are there any phones with top specs but cheap camera? I don't take photos and I don't know anyone who cares about the camera on a phone but still wants a speedy phone
I bought the Pixel 7a. I find that one adequate for my purpose after reviewing your videos. Thank you.
I have the pixel 3a and my big complaint was that I cannot watch photos or videos on a sunny day even if i boost the brightness to maximum. I'm wondering if the pixel 7 and 7a has improved in that matter and if there is a difference between the 7 and 7a in that matter.
Yes they've improved a lot you'll have no problem with viewing content & seeing it in bright sun light. I have both pixel 6 & 7pro I hope that helps
@@katinasutherlandwhited5578 oh so the pixel 6 is bright enough under the sun!? Any idea on the difference with the "a" series? I have no doubt on the pro.
@@WuFei0707 the A is definitely not as bright, the 7 and 7 pro are like 1000+ nits though, ive compared my 4a to a 6a and the 6a is slightly brigher, so I assume the 7a is also brighter than the 6a. This is just my experience input, you can google for official specs but I dont think google themselves list the brightness of the 7a
Just bought the 7 Pro, changed up from Samsung Note 20.

Dude where's that wallpaper that's on all 3 of them from?! It's awesome.
Excellent video. Thanks. Helped me decide.
Nice video as always but can you please change ur wallpaper on ur reviews phones.. Kind of bored with that Anime 🤐🤐
I had the 6 for a while but it developed an issue where no one could hear me talking on a call unless I used the speaker option.
Kind of put me off a bit and went to the big S instead.
Do like the pixels though 👍
This happened to me too!
@@Valeria-jr4kx was so annoying, what did you do?
The fact that there is no dual physical SIM is something that didn't make me get a pixel. S23 Ultra has options for all (2x physical /1 physical and 1 eSIM) makes it so much more flexible and I'm able to access the cheapest SIM deals
Exactly because I need room for a personal and work sim
The review I was looking for !
I'm thinking of going all the way for the 7 Pro with a good sale and trade in value for my 5a. I may talk myself down to the 7 once I think about do I really need that telephoto but the 7a doesn't make me want to get that over the 7 or 7 Pro
7 Pro user here, I went for the 7 Pro mainly because of the extra battery. Plus, the hazel colour is just beautiful
I always want the best one and end up with the mid range ones
Gorilla glass 3 I got gorilla glass 5 on my redmi note 10 Pro front and back come on Google and Chris over in the emerald isle it's 540 euros which sounds a lot but if you convert euros to gbp it's 469. 61 not bad I'm still going to wait for the one plus nord 3
Around when these phones came out, my pixel 4a said it would trade-in for like 300 dollars, but now it says 47 dollars, why? Also, is the pixel pro 100 dollars off worth it?
Man where do you get this backgrounds from?
Your pixel 5 review helped me decide to switch over from iPhone a couple of years ago & now this one has helped me decide between which of the Pixel 7's I should upgrade to, cheers!
Which one?
TLDR: The 7 series is a miracle. :D
Man, i love ur home screen wallpapers so provide the download steps or named the wallpaper app
Hi Mr tech spurt, I absolutely love my google 7, especially the call screening p and battery life is great. I just like the 7 very much, oh even got a pair of ear buds thrown in for free, thanks for the suggestion. Mr spurt..
Ive broken the 7a twice since launch, but its super slick. Superfast, super impressed.
Lovely review. Got my Pixel 7 pro in January, got issues touch sensitivity on the upper left corner of screen, very occasional but annoying I could not select the back arrow on any app. Have to close the app and try it again. Is this a bug? I was using gesture swipe navigation until I noticed I could not access the back button after a month well I could not return it back
wanted to buy 7 or 7a but my old redmi note 7 still working and i think i can wait for 8a (hope it will be also small) with 7 years for updates (because pixel 7 is not very new anymore and not many years of support left)
From where you find those wallpapers ? I am feelin jealous.
Which app are you downloading the wallpaper?
And me here using the pixel 6 that I got for $289. Upgraded from the 4a and it is a huge upgrade
There is a phone called Infinix Note 30 VIP Explain about it
The 7a kind of deserves to be priced that high although it is kind of out of my reach it is also better than I expected. Honestly apert from the plastic can it even be rated as a mid ranger?
It's more like Pixel's mid range. Although the 7 regular would actually be considered their midrange phone
Fabulous review. Thank you
Which Google pixel 7 or huawei p50 pro is better to be used as a daily driver? Only for camera and social media use. And battery life
I'd consider it but the camera module on the back looks so cheap. It's a no from me.
This is exactly what is bothering me and I can't see past it
I bought 7 pro couple days ago and i faced overheating issues. I haven't use it as my all day phone yet. I am wondering if i had to turn the phone back and chose another brand ...
excelent movie, where do I find your screen background?
how is this phone's performance and camera vs a galaxy s20?
hate the size, want a small powerhouse with curved edges but ik it's never going happen
I have an Oppo and the camera is rubbish! Now about to upgrade so which phone has the best camera which is reasonably priced please?
Another amazing episode!
I was hoping the 7A was going to be $499 in canada, but its $599, I regret not getting an open box 7 from bestbuy for $550 they had them on sale, now of course probably won't go on sale for that for a while, due to the 7a launch.... oh well. I'm sticking to my 4a for now. If I did any phone gaming, I would probably be itching to upgrade and willing to spend $600-800 on a phone.
What’s the wallpaper?
If only they'd put that damned telephoto on the regular 7 😩
Last month I upgraded from 4a to pixel 7 but not happy basic features are not working like calls, too many drop calls trying to get rid of 7 and looking for oneplus.
so do both of these phones get hot easily? Is that more of an issue on the pro?
Should I hold on for the 8 pro , if they throw in buds or a watch on pre order ?
There is a possible future under bright lights and a show stage at our local all inclusive Hotels, here in the taboo paradise island of Jamaica.
11:25 😂😂😂 lol
Mediocre battery life and poor charging speeds; I’m sure the 7/7 Pro is better than last year’s disaster of a phone but the battery is what gets me.
Absolutely. No excuse putting small batteries in new phones.
I HATE CURVED SCREENS! Why did 7 pro have to have curved screens
How does social media apps perform on the google pixel especially Snapchat?
In my country, we have to pay Tax, IMEI, etc for Google's, Motorola, Sony, Nokia phone. Google Pixel 7A, 7 almost in the same price to Samsung S22, and just add some we can get S23. And i still using my Pixel 4A and consider to buy other since my Samsung Note got burn in display. I love the camera from Pixel alot, more than Samsung. Anyone using Pixel 7 series and Samsung S23 series ? May i know ur review ? Thanks so much.
I bought the 7, didn't think the extra £300 for the pro was worth it. Very happy with my choice
It is not at all worth it. Its great but too expensive for nothing but a telephoto lens.
@@eg8049 You could say that about any flagship phone, though
@@eg8049telephoto lens plus a gorgeous screen and obviously a much prettier build. But yes it's still not worth it for some people.
