    One of the tricks a good tow truck driver told me a while back was to install a 1/4" Quick Connect air fitting on the air tank under the drivers seat with a petcock valve on it. That way, you can moisture purge that tank in a second and also fill up the system by installing an air hose without having to start the truck. I do this at home all the time..

    Nice work. I like to use a scissor jack from a car, you know the one that everyone hates, use it between frame and sleeper to support and raise or lower. Good video guys!

    The air ride cab will definitely save your back if it's working and don't have bad bags. Great video brother!

    Well, That looked pretty easy. The air bag on my Mack dry rotted last summer. It is between two metal brackets. Super Stupid design. Not open like your truck. I forget how long it took. But it was several hours. I was so nervous that I was going to rip the new air bag ! I think I might try to make a super size valve spring compressor. Like the small engine flathead motors. That would make sliding the new air bag in a lot easier. Plus safer. Always enjoy your advice. You do not seem arrogant like some UA-cam people. I really enjoy all the information you put out. Thank You !!!

    I've done this job on older trucks that get run off road....a little bit messy. Bill made it look easy.👍

    @craigthomas4999 6 років тому +2

    You and Bill know all my tricks lol. Only I use a small bottle jack instead of the block if I can. That way I can always jack it up if I need a little extra room. Good job Mr Koon . Always enjoy your videos and live streams

    It's hard to believe how much air those bags hold...You guys make it look easy...Guess what my mailman dropped off???Love the hat and the 2 in 1 pocket screwdriver...It will come in handy...Going to get some scotch guard and seal the signatures on the hat and wear the heck out of it...Have a great day...

    One side of the rear of my sleepers higher than the other. There's about a two and a half inch difference. So it makes my truck look like it's leaning. How would I level that off

      Showed exactly what was described. That’s how they are replaced, if there was something left out that you can’t figure out, then I would highly recommend you not work on anything on your own.

    Am I the only guy that doesn't have quick connect air lines on their truck? Lol

    • @KoonTrucking
      @KoonTrucking  6 років тому

      Be thankful ! They suck ! I hate them. When ours start leaking especially on airbags and labeling valves we replace them with compression fittings !

      @cevans0974 6 років тому +1

      I have a 99 model 379 and I buy my airbags at Truck Pro. The last one I bought was not quick connect. I hate quick connect.

      cevans097 yeah I’m not a fan of them either. It isn’t if they leak it’s when and how bad !

    • @379insk
      @379insk 6 років тому

      Koon Trucking to be honest I didn't realize quick connect existed. I am sort of sick of screwing around with new ferouls etc but they do seal
