Hi John Hamel, thank you for the detailed video. Would you tell us how you set up these functions for querying the announcements individually on the JETI system.

The first thing you need to do is to have the pre-recorded voice announcement "WAV" file(s) stored in the "Audio" Folder in the Jeti radio.
Then you can have to figure out how to activate the voice announcement(s). There are several ways to do this. One of the most "straight forward" ways to activate a voice announcement is to use the Advanced Properties >> Sound on Event feature. You assign (a) a switch (physical switch, Logical Switch, Accelerometer, etc.) as well as the position of the switch to activate the voice announcement, and (b) select the voice file rom the "Audio" folder.
If you want to voice announce telemetry values, you do that via the Timers/Sensors >> Voice Output >> Single voice announcement menu. You determine the triggering input (physical switch, accelerometers, logical switch, telemetry trigger, voice command, etc.) and the telemetry sensor.
There are other ways to output voice announcements, but these two ways should get you started.

John, what Tx do you use nowaday's? Yeti or Mikado Vbar. And which one do you suggest , because I am looking for a good radio. I fly heli's and airplanes.

If you fly both helicopters and airplanes, and you want to have one single radio to control all your flying machines, for a choice limited to just between the Mikado radios and Jeti radios, then I have to give Jeti the edge, but I would consider the DS-16 or DS-24 radios for a fuller experience with airplanes. I only fly helicopters, so my needs are different. I owned a Jeti DS-16 (1st generation) and a current generation DS-24, but I did not find them optimal for helicopters. If I did fly airplanes, I would probably have a dedicated helicopter transmitter and a dedicated airplane transmitter for the most optimal experience with either flying machine, as a jack-of-all-trades transmitter will inevitably require a compromise in optimum transmitter ergonomics, size, weight, overall user interface, and bells and whistles optimized for either flying machine. I am personally anxiously waiting for the release of the Jeti WAVE radio.

@@johnahamelvJohn so if I understand you correctly , for heli's only Mikado is the way to go ?

@@r7_guy941 I cannot say that Mikado VBar Control radio is the only way to go for helicopters. I myself only fly helicopters, and I find myself flying 87% of my flights this year with Jeti/Spirit and only 13% of my flights with Mikado VBCT/Neo just to give you an indication. I do consider that the Mikado radios are designed around primarily for RC helicopters whereas most other current radios are designed primarily for fixed wing flying machines, but of course they adapt fairly well for helicopters as well. I believe the Spirit WAVE radio will also be similar in concept to Mikado being primarily optimized for helicopters, but still remain very capable for fix wing.

I have a collection of gimbal stick ends. I do not remember where I purchased the ones I am using. I can tell you that the most common stick ends thread sizes are M3 and M4. Jeti uses M4. Other radios like Mikado VBar Control use M3 thread stick ends. So look for M4 thread size stick ends for this Jeti DS-12 radio.

How did you do that with the momentairy switch

I assume you mean the button switch I have set up with 1, 2, and 3 short presses and the long press. I assume you can create this switch yourself the "hard way" using the Advance Properties >> Sequencer feature, but the easiest way is to install the "Short/Long Switch" LUA app.
