- This is an overview of some of my favorite features of the Jeti DS12 radio, particularly in regards to using with the Discus Launch Gliders. See the review over at www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...

Just got a DS-12 basic. This thing is in another level. I have had Futaba, JR, Multiplex, Hitec. The quality is superb, the gimbals are butter smooth and precise as a surgeon. The programming is the most powerful feature, so so easy and very powerful. The receivers are excellent, even the antenna cables are better than the other brands. I feel like when I had my first radio when I was a kid. With JETI, you are absolutely are getting what you are paying for.
I've had mine for a while now in the UK (yes, yellow too :-) - just an outstanding radio - software is impeccable. Good review video BTW !
Great review video. Just long enough to get the basic info across! Keep up the good work!
I have a DS12 and I love him. I had a little problem and asked Jeti what to do. They asked me to send him to Jeti in Slowakije. I did so. They solved the problem and asked no money for it. The DS12 was back in 5 days. So also their service is very good. Top!!!
Awesome service.
Love my DS-12!
Nice equipment...TFS!
good job!
I have the DS-14 and love it. From what I understand that radio has dual 2.4 antennas while the DS-12 only has one 2.4 and one 900. Am I correct?
There are two antennas inside the DS-12 for 2.4 in an L shape 90 degrees to one another along with the 900 antenna. You can see them in my photo here static.rcgroups.net/forums/attachments/2/2/5/6/4/a12762853-46-14.jpg
Hi, good review, it says in the specs 8 channel, extendable to 12. How do you extend it to 12 channels? My be obvious but I'm new to this.
You can purchase the extra channels (unlocked via software) from Jeti.
Hey Jason, great video. Do you remember where you got the grip tape, was it cut for this radio?
Thanks. I got the tape from Amazon and cut it to shape for what I wanted. Here's the link to the stuff that I used www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00RU8FEWO
@@rcgvideos curious if your still using the jeti 12 channel radio or have you moved on to bigger better things, I’m currently using the Spektrum NX10 but looking to possibly go jeti to either the ds12 carbon deluxe special addition or the DS 16 black carbon for the dual 2.4 , the added side sliders And the aluminum housing, just not sure if I want the heaviness. my main goal is the connection between the radio and receivers and using a 900 for backup what’s your thoughts ?
Kind of a loaded question here 1) what do you think of jeti radio in general vs Spektrum or other brands
2) ds12 vs ds16 weight wise
3) single 2.4 vs dual 2.4
4) weight
where did u get the texture grip ? mate nice video my ds12 coming soon hopefully tomorrow
Got it from Amazon www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00I511BDQ/ Enjoy your radio!
You can get the texture grip at any gun store. It is used for pistol grips.
Great video, do you have expo on all channels?
I run about 20% on Ail, Ele and Rud for most of my gliders.
@@rcgvideos sorry I ment can you add expo on every channel does it give you the option? I'll be using it for a hydraulic excavator and I need expo on 8 channels and my mc-20 graupner doesn't allow it. Thank you
How does this compare to the FrSky Tandem X20? I believe both were reviewed on your channel. I’m seriously considering the X20S but the Jeti looks like a worthy competitor.
Both are very capable, but different on the programming side. Jeti is more intuitive and FrSky is harder to learn.
@@rcgvideos Thanks.
Just wondering, 4yrs on has the yellow faded at all?
Nope, still looks brand new!
Very pretty radio, but the "ball" design gimbals makes me a bit sceptical. Aren't you losing motion of one axis when maxing out the other?
Nope! Full travel in all corners. It doesn't move farther as go from the corner to the middle.
@@rcgvideos so the sticks have a square travel and the "ball" is just cosmetic?
Pretty much, It is a square equal travel on both sticks.
Hi, where get F3k training for my ds12?
More info on it here www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?3646925-F3K-Training-App-for-Jeti-Radios
Which rx do you use? Jeti doesn't seem to so a good rx for dlg
They have awesome receivers for DLG's. The R4, R5 and R6's are all great. R4 needs a Y adapter. I use the R6L in all mine. It's small and light.
@@rcgvideos i don't think we have the r4 in Europe. Other than the hacker one. Not small though. Much bigger than frsky 4ch
I haven't seen a DLG that an R6 wouldn't fit in. Even the 1M planes it fits in. FrSky receivers are super tiny, but they don't have to be to work well in a DLG.
Honestly I think I might prefer a plastic Jeti over an aluminium one no matter what the price lol
Normaly Jeti Have some thing similar ModelMatch from spektrum? For protect us from Select the wrong Model.
Yes it has protection for that.
yeah yeah!i!
at 3:37 you say its a Jed-i, Not Jeti radio. What did you mean by that?
It's a pun, I use a lightsaber sound when I turn on the radio, making it a "Jedi" radio. : )
@@rcgvideos lol
how this prays of this transmitter and of this transmitter rench how much
I don't understand what "prays" and "rench" means.
prays wath and rench ???pless
What???
want to sell your 14?
Sticks and switches feel like they are full of grit... menus are impossible and there website keeps defaulting to what ever they speak in Chechnya.. now I know why so many on RCG for sale and no one within 500 miles to help. Ever drive a Russian car?
Oh, some guys are just right for a Russian car made in Chechnya. What does that have to do with Jeti?
Bought mine on a Monday , arrived Friday but couldn’t use until the next week because they are only open Monday thru Friday 6 hours a day for getting the programming. They are rude, overpriced and nickel and dime you to death... never heard of having to fill out more forms than a passport app to use a radio I just paid close to a $1000 for. Real butts to deal with. If Apple or Microsoft operated like this they would be out of business. Returning this POS..
this is good to know, thanks for the post.
