Real talk, I’m never using anything else on my nails again. I am a barista and I work a pretty grueling closing shift. No gel has ever stayed on and with out chips and cracks the way my poly gel does. I don’t have to be ultra careful the way I do with other manicures, it is stronger than my actual nails. They are so pretty and so realistic too. I’m truly obsessed, I love poly gel!
Okay…, then maybe you can help me what am I doing wrong? Because I just tried this for the first time and as soon as I was done about five of them fell off right away. I followed all the steps, but I still couldn’t figure out why?

I started experimenting with polygel and dual forms in September 2023 and watched a lot of videos by @nailcou, using her step by step tutorial about dry manicure I found out that with the correct nail preparation, your nails will not pop off! I tried prepping the nails on my left hand and not prepping them on my right hand, and the nails on my right hand popped right off, so that's when I knew I always had to do nail prep. For me, since I don't have nail dehydrator, non-alcoholic nail polish remover works to dehydrate my natural nails, and buffing + base coat (without wiping the base coat, even if it's sticky!) works really good :) hope this was helpful, feel free to ask any more questions about this and I'll try to give the best answer

This is called a Russian pedicure where there's no gap . I love it so much. I hate the gap of nail it looks trashy to me that's why I am learning to do my own nails
@@tiffanyc566 I’ve learned that you should leave a hair width gap by the cuticle area and sidewalls. This helps to keep the oils at bay, which in turn prevents lifting and it also protects the cuticle. I think some techs leave a huge gap and maybe that’s the reason you’re put off by it.

@@shaunzworldi agree with u but there are dif ways to do nails esp with polygel and dual forms! another big reason tho is because if the polygel is touching the cuticle it’ll create a pocket lift and ur natural nails will have scaring and ur cuticles can get damaged. there’s other reasons as well like the nails coming off after a couple of days and making irritation around the cuticle leaving redness and sometimes eczema!

You dont need a drill for these!!! If you do then you did them wrong! Only for the side walls and cuticles. The point of the form is to be able to skip the molding of the nail shape.. takw tour tine and use the clips intended.
Speak for yourself!!!! She didnt do them wrong .. everything you said was wrong😂 lots of people use a drill afterwards.... We all do things different, and just because she didn't do it "your way" does not mean she did it wrong. 🤗

How do u get polygel to not fall off after one day of them being on. Every time I do them they fall off the next day.

Proper nail prep.. Also make sure you use top coat before you apply the polygel
100% Nail prep is everything. The top coat needs prepped for the polygel to stick properly as well. ❤
