You guys don't say what the real problem is. Concord's problem was a $40 price point for a hero shooter (a game type that was not conveyed in the first trailer) when there are free to play shooters in the market. It had underwhelming character designs in a game that expects you download skins and designs. and was inappropriately marketed (zero lead up on characters or story until it was too late). The so called gay stuff and pronouns, that's just people putting their personal prejudices on it. Simple as that. There are more white, male, heterosexual lead games than ever, you could choose to lean in to your prejudice instead of spending time pointing out what games you don't intent to play, are doing.

idc if a character is ugly or attractive but i do question WHY game devs are making these decisions, surely theyve seen that a decent proportion of the gaming community do care so why would you make a conscious choice of making the character ugly which has no chance of making people want to play and can only work against you, its like they purposely wanted the game to do worse
It is because a lot of these decisions would have been made long ago with the thinking it would be accepted and even welcomed, as well as that any push back would be drowned out by those defending them. The massive shift with the general public simply getting sick of it and finally saying they've had enough is really only quite recent all things considered. I'd expect there is likely still a good number of projects with these kind of decisions in the works and no way to pivot or make significant changes, especially when those backing such projects typically wont stand for any delays.

They should have made a medieval game set in the westoros as sony and HBO have already teamed up before so it wouldn't be that unrealistic. But neil druckman would rather virtue signal to people who dont play games and shill to advertisers to make up for the lack of sales.
i havent played none of the games you mentioned because they are not my style. However when its ND don't it I am interested. I like their photorealism approach and 3rd person angle. Also if combat is cool its something that I am considering getting. I was looking forward to play star ward outlaw but that game was trash so I did not waste my time. Comparing it to the last of us trailer is night and day. There is so much more subtext in the last of us trailer even though it’s shorter. If it was for being naughty dog I don’t think anyone would care, it just has a generic aura about it.
I just feel like Naughty Dog obviously feels a certain way about the game and says it’s going to do x, y, and z, but nothing was shown. Yeah it’s a teaser but hype needs to build around the game and this was a miss. I really don’t think the issue is a female, minority protagonist. They modeled her off another actor but that’s just it, the character feels like a modern person in the future and doesn’t fit in with the rest of the game aesthetically. The VA for the other character didn’t fit at all, sounded like a 20 year old in a 60 year old’s body. I was more wow’d by how the game looked but I’ve been a gamer long enough that it only goes surface level. Your game can look amazing but how does it play? ND is going to have a tough time selling this game if this is how it’s going to be handled. A new IP needs to be shown, because it’s new….

Honestly, The Last of us Part 2 is the most divisive game of all time. The story (Objectively) is garbage it is among the worst I have ever seen, up there with Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League. And the game leak certainly didn't help. I'm not going to go into detail about why the story is so bad because there are already countless amounts of amazing videos by essayists that have covered this topic. But I would never be able to call it a bad game, since the visuals, Character Models, Acting and performance is among the best in the industry. I am not an IGN or Game Company Reviewer glazer but I really think they were paid off by Naughty Dog, I don't even think that they could give this game a ten. When Last of us Part 2 won 320 Game of the year awards in 2020 is when I could no longer stay blind to the fact that Game Of The Year is worthless. I really hope Neil Druckman will prove us all wrong with this new IP. But I have nothing but doubt in Naughty Dog.
I forced myself to love the game but I can still admit that the story is objectively bad because of how terrible it made the majority of the fanbase feel. I do think the story could be translated better in a different Media like in the TV show.

The issue with the game: it's a new IP, the trailer gave us pretty much nothing except establishing a setting and teasing combat (which looked meh for what was a cinematic trailer), we have no connection to the character as a result. She happens to line up with the most annoying non-controversy controversy in the history of gaming and everybody is bandwagoning on that for views and rage-bait.
The trailer got a bazillion dislikes because UA-cam gaming sphere has been poisoned by anti-woke grifters who see a woman (with short hair no less!) and immediately start screeching. All past Naughty Dog games were bangers, especially TLOU & TLOU2, so I'm pretty confident Intergalactic will deliver. I expect a huge backlash from the Gamergaters, though. Probably a worse one than TLOU2.

It's been a lot of games that use characters like we are seeing in naughty dogs new IP and many of these games have turned to shit. not even necessarily because of the characters themselves, but because the games just came with lacklustre polishing, boring gameplay loops or plane boring stories. No one calls CP2077 woke, because it just lets you have the option. You can engage with it, but you dont have to, which I think is great. but if games force it down your throat it can be rather annoying, especially if it doesnt add anything to the story of the game, which it usually doesnt.

She happens to line up with the most annoying non-controversy controversy in the history of gaming and everybody is bandwagoning on that for views and rage-bait.
The trailer got a bazillion dislikes because UA-cam gaming sphere has been poisoned by anti-woke grifters who see a woman (with short hair no less!) and immediately start screeching.
All past Naughty Dog games were bangers, especially TLOU & TLOU2, so I'm pretty confident Intergalactic will deliver. I expect a huge backlash from the Gamergaters, though. Probably a worse one than TLOU2.
Right because TLOU2 was so well liked by everybody ehemm.. anyway its not because its has a female lead, its because people don't like forced politics in their games, especially political correctness.

TLOU2 is one of the best games of the decade. Incredible story, insanely emotional moments, peak combat, one of the best stealth mechanics in recent history, the best 'hard' difficulty ever, immaculate animations, cinematic presentation, and top-tier characters & dialogue.
The only real problem with TLOU2 is the uneven pacing that stems from its structure. I think they should have tried to interweave both stories instead of doing 1 and then the other.
What kind of "politics" are you even talking about? Give me a concrete example. I bet it's gonna be some BS talking point you got from the anti-woke grifters on YT. Because TLOU2 doesn't have any overtly political messages. It's a gritty story about revenge, trauma, and perspective. It barely even talks about politics, apart from some background information about FEMA, the safe zones, and the military response to the pandemic.
Oh wait, let me guess... By "political", you meant the fact that Ellie is a lesbian, right? Or that Abby is a muscular woman... 😆
@@CinematicSeriesGaming I think most people just recognise a pattern in the industry. It's been a lot of games that use characters like we are seeing in naughty dogs new IP and many of these games have turned to shit. not even necessarily because of the characters themselves, but because the games just came with lacklustre polishing, boring gameplay loops or plane boring stories. No one calls CP2077 woke, because it just lets you have the option. You can engage with it, but you dont have to, which I think is great. but if games force it down your throat it can be rather annoying, especially if it doesnt add anything to the story of the game, which it usually doesnt.
