I am not one to sit still, so being on the ball all day is good fun! I find "doing things" outside of Taekwondo quite therapeutic, even if it is cooking, washing dishes or prepping food 😃 I do have my days where I take my foot off the gas and truly veg out like a couch potato! That rest and recovery is crucial for an athlete, I spent those lazy days or afternoons falling asleep in the bath reading a book, or editing videos / going for walks etc. Maybe coffee with friends, but hey... That's a video for another time 😉

The first thing is that I’m shocked that you have to work as well as train! I honestly thought that maybe National Lottery and Sport UK supported you. I’m tired just watching you. You are amazing girl and you deserve all the accolade you can get. Wishing you continued success and hope you get to compete in the Commonwealth Games
We get support in the form of an athlete award, and any money we receive is based on our performance so not guaranteed. It can change quite drastically sometimes if we don’t hit medal targets or performance targets. I do it because I enjoy it.

You are really doing exceptionally job. You are working and also making your country and family proud. I can understand it is hard to balance all the things but still you are doing it. That's a real motivation for each and every person who is struggling through their life or who is dreaming of something big.

I think that’s a cool thing about me, if I’m given a task I’ll do everything I can to finish it and keep that tunnel vision 😬 I get momentum and don’t stop until I’m done 😂

Hi Lauren could recomend me some knee excercises for taekwondo and some excercises for splits
I would say, it is ok to reheat coffee to your heart’s content, I would do it but don’t because once the coffee is made it’s straight down my gullet because I love the taste too much 🙈🙈 stay safe and congrats at your last competition 🤙🏻

How do you have the motivation to go to your TKD training everyday? (You got me back into TKD after a six month break, I'm trying to get back to going but just don't have any motivation to go.)
Commitment - not motivation. I have a goal, I ask myself what I need to do to achieve it… and do that. I’m not motivated every day but it’s the commitment to putting in the work consistently that’s getting me up

yep I reheat my coffee. why not eat regular food tho? real eggs, meat cheese, oats , milk.
I do, i eat predominantly whole foods. I mentioned I wanted something quick and easy just before a session rather than my usual oats and banana etc 😬 not everyday goes to plan 😆
