It’s not stated that Brian has to be “fired” if he doesn’t reach 25ppg and 7 wins. If we do go 12-0 he would definitely stay OC under a new contract. It sucks! I want him gone too

From a Fan of neither, there was no PI according to other no calls in the game. It’s Football. It’s a physical game where alot of stuff doesnt get called and both Fan Bases even if they win complain every year

That's why we got the pick 6 after, can't cheat the Hawks and get away with it lol.
The referee has to throw a flag to indicate a penalty occurred. Since no flag was thrown by any official that means no penalty occurred. Hope this helps

Play calling for Iowa was solid in the first half. Way to conservative in the 2nd.

They won the game. If they turned it over just once they would have lost. If anything Iowa st game calling was way to conservative. It took them over 8min to score and tried to run from the shotgun on 4th and the game. GTFOOH

First of all congratulations to my team Iowa Hawkeyes on the win well done however what happened after the first half you came out looking flat and exhausted the defence was allowing Iowa State all kinds of running lanes and our quarterback wasn't throwing as well true our receivers we're not catching passes that they could have caught but this has to be fixed team if we're going to complete well in the big ten don't get me wrong I'm proud of you but you can do better guy's let's go Hawks and win the big ten outright.

I can't speak for ISU, but I know that Iowa has been dressing up to look like the Pittsburgh Steelers ever since Hayden Fry came in to revitalize the program in the late 1970s.

For Iowa OC Brian Ferentz to retain his job, the Hawkeyes must average 25 PPG this season.
So far, they are averaging 23 PPG.
And if you take away the Hawkeyes' pick-six in this game, that average would be 18 PPG.
The offense is no better this year than last year, even with Cade McNamara. I'd say Brian Ferentz's days at U of I are numbered.
A lot of people fail to realize that Iowa State had this game won minus the pick six and not scoring on the opening drive. The dropped touchdown and field goal were tone setters. Held Iowa to 9 first downs, the lowest in ISU loss since 1991, and out gained them. Iowa was also in a field position deficit for the majority of the game. Pinned inside their own 15 several times.
Shoulda would’ve could’ve pal… the game is played how it’s played. ISU lost. Simple.

Not if you're ISU; they haven't won at home since 2011. Iowa won at home over the Cry-Clowns in 2016 and 2018 before the 2020 game was canceled due to COVID and before losing at home in 2022.
