Thank you very much sir for mentioning that the spring-loaded tension arm comes locked in place. The manual doesn't even state this! I stopped using this sharpener because it was such a royal pain to do belt changes without knowing this info. Thank you!

I've been using this machine for about a month and love it. I do recommend making sure the platen is straight. Mine came with a slight curve in it and after a few minutes in the vice she was ready to go!
I removed the 6 inch wheel with the hopes to turn it into a buffer/polisher. Could you do a video on how to extend the shaft and mount a buffing wheel onto it?

Uploading now...I show how to strip it off then I just hammered a wheel on. Not the most technical but it s a winner no matter how you get there!

Any idea what the threaded hole is for on the top pulley?
In an older video you cut away the frame around the top pulley for better access to the belt, it that not needed any more?
I will probably do the same just for the tiny oddball thing you want to strop

I have one ?. Any ideas on how to keep this unit cool when running on low RPM settings
Just run em....After a few years they cool down some but never have failed in hours n hours of use
Nice! I put a felt wheel on grizzly 1 by 30 and works ok. Not variable speed though.
Your new shop/store is looking terrific! Do you plan on continuing with the mobile service once the store is fully open and functional?
