2023 Ducati Scrambler Icon Review

- In 2023, Ducati thought it was worthwhile to do a host of styling updates that include a redesign of the tank, headlight, body panels, wheels, and even the swingarm because a normal center-mounted-shock was too… overdone, apparently. We’re talking aesthetics here, and the Scrambler is all about ‘em. In addition to the new styling components that allow a total of nine color options, Ducati has also slimmed down the rear end with a new bolt-on subframe, added a new dash and headlight design that prominently features the black X, and has rerouted the exhaust for rider comfort. Lighter cast wheels are used, and engine covers have been updated. Moving past the Icon’s new ‘fit, it’s the ride-by-wire throttle that sets the Scrambler on a new, more modern, trajectory.

Cool review thanks. Is it too hot on a very warm day in heavy traffic?
A Ducati 748 front sprocket fits straight on and gives music better in gear acceleration, yes you rev more at high speed but it’s not made for high speed.
There is also a quick shifter/auto blipper upgrade available.
Beautiful machine
In Australia we'd use a bike like this around town. My main query is to with the width of the handlebars when filtering through traffic. It's legal here up to 25kmh if traffic is stopped at a red light.
I filter through traffic with mine. We can also filter at stop lights.
Love the styling for many Ducati's just can't do the price compared to even other European makes, let alone the Japanese 4 (CB 1000 R or R9T pure vs. a scrambler? I'll take the CB or R9T).
I wish I could just option the nightshift spoke wheels on any other color/trim. Not that I don’t think the nightshift package looks good tho
How is the heating in city traffic compared to previous models
No desert sled trim?
Loved the video. I like the bike, but at that price, I just can't understand how is it possible to have a single front brake disc.
And unadjustable suspension and 75hp and cast aluminium wheels
Nice ❤❤❤, y dont ducati scrambler use spoke rim
I bought an Urban Motard last year, and really like the bike. I have not yet seen anything showing 2023 model of this bike. Did they discontinue that model?
Yes
I like the style of Ducati Scrambler, but the price seems a bit to much. I wish the price range would be at around $9.5/ $10K. I'm looking forward to the Honda Scrambler instead.
the plastics make it look REAL cheap and chintsy.
I'm trying to get a feel for how i would fit on this bike. I'm 6'2. How tall are you so I can get some perspective.
Buy a Desert Sled if they still do one.
I'm 5'8" with a 30 inch inseam.
@@Snoozzzzzze Not currently. Hoping they add it back in.
Bud I'm 5'8 on a good day and it's a small bike.
It's a small bike
Great looking bike but with the price tag here in Australia being what it is and fact it’s missing spoked wheels I’d never have the heart to use it for what it’s supposed for and that’s off-road. Thanks for sharing. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
How about motorcycle sound rather than presentation sound tracks for intro? Think MCN.
Here is one that I am looking to get answered for 2 years - When are we getting a dealer in Winnipeg Manitoba again??
never
Can a 6.1ft guy ride it comfortably ?!
I have a question for Ducati. Does Ducati have any good bikes that cost a small fortune?
Plenty!
Used ones
Haven't seen Burnsie in awhile 🤔
Hope he is still around
Unfortunately, he is not... I mean he is, but not at MO. A corporate decision, definitely not a staff decision. We valued JB.

Thanks for the straight talk, Ryan
you rock
Would be so much better with a 17 inch front wheel
Ducati makes amazing bikes. Completely over-priced and ridiculously hard and expensive to maintain.
The perfect bike to borrow from somebody.
Ducati Scramblers throw off too much heat. The moment you slow down or come to a stop, you might as well sprinkle salt and pepper on your leg because it will be roasted.
@@ljr869 Coincidentally, I rented a Scrambler 1100 Sport last summer for 4 days. I based my previous comment on that experience. My current bike is a 2017 SV650. To me, to have to deal with so much heat for a bike that is double the price of my SV is unacceptable. I've ridden other air cooled bikes before (not Harleys) and I don't remember heat being a problem. Anyway, that's my experience. I'm sticking with liquid cooled.
Don’t forget to prick them with a fork 😂😂😂😂
People say this about so many Ducs, but I rode a Multi in Las Vegas in 115F, wearing leather pants, and heat on the leg wasn't the problem.
I can verify this to be true. 2020 Scrambler Icon. 🔥
I ride mine in the SW deserts in the USA; specifically Arizona. Heat is not an issue unless you are overly sensitive and need air conditioning on your motorcycle.
It's a parts bin bike like the monster started as. It's a lot for a used motorcycle.
Lost me with air cooled. Don't want anything thats not liquid cool anymore.
The new look seems cheaper, more plasticky, overpriced, and the colors seem girly.
The past models looked better, more traditional, classic, if they would've only maintain that look with the upgrades of less weight, less heat, and a better navigating screen settings (that the preview ones are a pain to navigate) would've been a heck of a bike.
This bike has no attitude, no personality, as much as the over use of plastic it has on it.
I can watch the advertising on their channel. Tell us what is bad about it. Stop shilling.
More electronics, more display, how long until you start seeing ads on that screen in the free subscription plan? How long until you have to pay a monthly fee to access all the power? Ride by wire + a computer can do that.
Too expensive.
The TFT looks awful. It doesn't fit the whole aesthetic of the bike
Overpriced and cooks you like toasted cheezer!!
They ruined a great looking bike with pretentious details like the useless X on the headlight and SCR text under the seat. Many other design updates such as the whole tank also went the wrong direction as well, it became a cheap techy knock off of itself, at least it's more in line with the terrible marketing they did for the Scrambler brand now. Such a shame to see Ducati failing on the design department where they were quite great for many years.
Agreed
