amulet of pirapt wounds is actually op. Heal the max every time? Even a level II healing word heals a lot more than on anyone else! I wore it for an entire game once and now it's one of my favourite neckaces
I was trying to pick everyone’s favourites and I completely forgot that one!! Okay I really need to do a list with every single amulet. In a month or two I’ll compile them all, crack an energy drink and get to er!
Wound closure is OP when used as intended, when used as NOT intended it's actually just disgusting. Did you know the best healer is ACTUALLY a barbarian thief? Use the wound closure amulet, hellrider gloves, whispering promise ring, staff of arcane blessing and TADA! your barb thief can now make use of the potions you've been drowning in and turn them into resistance and a buffed bless. It's one of the few builds that can outright outheal damage done by enemies.
Paralyzing critical is so good. I killed Sarevok on Tactician before he even had a chance to act with Astarion paralyzing him and Minsc going absolutely apeshit on him with Balduran's Giantslayer
Amulet of elemental augmentation is pretty OP if you put it on a draconic sorcerer and combine it with potent robe and birthright, that way your cantrips do +18 damage because your Charisma is probably gonna be at 22 at that point.
@@JasonDunnait's even crazier if you pair it with ways to inflict vulnerability (like splashing people with water or wielding the Mourningfrost staff for a white or silver draconic sorcerer). It was one of the core items for my Tav on my first run and it allowed me to pump SO MUCH DAMAGE
By the way, you can get the constitution amulet without fighting Raphael. Just go to the house of hope, disarm the pressure plate under the amulet, don't get caught stealing it and leave through the portal. While you're there you can also get two pairs of gloves, an amazing staff and a great helmet. Raphael only shows up if you steal the hammer/ your contract or if the archivist catches you stealing one of the other items in the archive. So you can get this amulet pretty early in act III if you want
You can also use the potion of angelic reprieve (sold by Lann Tarv in Moonrise) for infinite sorcery points/ spell slots. That method is significantly faster. Convert all level 1, level 2 and warlock slots into sorcery points, use these to create level 2 slots, convert these into sorcery points, use these to create level 2 slots... when you are out of sorcery points to convert drink the elixir This is also the easiest way to do a playthrough without long resting
Its really quick to equip/unequip the amulet, getting 2 sorcery points every 5 seconds Here's a quick guide I did on it: ua-cam.com/video/rXAqVmAAh3Y/v-deo.html
I slept on the amulet ‘cause I didn’t know the cheese trick but will say: Angelic reprieve is such a game breaker! My Sorcerer/Paladin went into final battle with something like 15 level 1&2 spell slots, lots of extra level 3-5 spell slot and something like 40 sorcerer points lol. Bonus Action Command, Hold, Ice Storm, Lightning Bolt, etc. just insane damage dealer and crowd control. Divine smite level 1&2 spells all day long, take nap with angelic reprieve to restore level 1&2 spell slots, and go back to divine smiting 😂 I always leave Act 2 with at least 100 angelic reprieves stashed away.
Spell Crux does indeed restore up to lv 6. I often use it to summon a lv 6 being after long rest, restore the spellslot and then equip another amulet. Next run will be a Storm Sorcerer though so will more likely be lightning storm. ^^ The healing amulet is a good pairing with the bless on heal mechanic since it got a mass heal. Being a melee lover, almost always use 2 melee characters, for me the misty step one is S-tier. :)
Summoning a level 6 Myrmidon / Planar ally is such a good use for it, I don’t know why I second guessed myself 😅 there’s sometimes odd bugs that happen and it’s hard to keep up with the tooltips Storm sorcerer was one of my favourite characters! The bonus action fly can sometimes be a game changer My ideal team comp is Storm/Draconic sorcerer, tempest cleric, bard 10 / Paladin 2 and either Druid or throw barbarian Create water + a team full of lightning/cone of cold is awesome. Your barbarian can throw water bottles to set up and water elementals apply vulnerability with their attacks
I don't know, I think the Fey Semblance Amulet is one of the best, getting advantage against Int, Wis, Cha throws is pretty amazin, you'll never hafta worry about spells.
The Spineshudder Amulet you find in Isobel's old chambers at Moonrise is an absolute must-have for my Sorlock. Guaranteed Reverberation against 1 to three enemies after a successful Eldritch Blast strike means my party member in melee can come in and pull the kill off no matter the challenge.
I love reverberation builds and you could pull this off with scorching ray as well such a good one I didn’t include it but I will do a list with all of them
I love using the amulet of healing bc if you pair it with the hellrider gloves or gloves of revivify and the whispering promise ring, ANY class can give your entire party a free cast of concentration-free bless and blade ward right out the gate! No multiclassing needed
I made a similar comment on your video on the best armors, but if you combine the Potent Robe with the Amulet of Elemental Augmentation you can start getting +10 damage on all of your cantrips. Doesn't work with a Warlock (of course a Warlock just takes Agonizing Blast and then if you pair THAT with Potent Robe then you're getting that +10 to Eldritch Blast anyway). But it's a great way to even out your damage as a spell caster and help save your spell slots for tougher battles.
The Amulet of Lost Voices is actually just like the Speak with the Dead spell. You can continuously cast it throughout the day not just once per long rest. Also the Necklace of Elemental Augmentation is about cantrips and making them more powerful. After giving this to Gale Ray of Frost which normally was giving about 5 damage actually gave 30 damage. It also stacks with the Draconic Sorcerer's Elemental Affinity. I've had it on Gale for the whole game especially since I am raising his intelligence as I go. It makes him pretty powerful. It also helps Warlocks, too. I would say that it's higher than B tier.
New follower here, loving your content ! Thanks for all the videos i'm on a binge spree of your bg3 content ahah. It's ironic how that early misty step amulet is so good. I'm in act 3 and still using it on my main fighter : got many new amulets, not a single one felt worth the trade : misy step is so useful for a melee character lol
Happy to have you on board!! I hope you enjoy the videos and if you ever have a request let me know The misty step amulet is seriously so good. Any martial class should take it! A eldritch knight, vengeance paladin or gloomstalker can get it as a spell but the necklace helps so much on every other martial class
Amulet of Restoration combos well with buff on heal items (whispering promise and hellrider's pride) for mass bless and blade ward, once per day yes, but it's early game when it matters
Interesting, I really like the Amulet that always gives you max heal rather than rolling. Pair this with the lithid power that can send 1/2 of your health to others you can essentially heal the whole party at max heal rates! Makes healing potions super, super, greater etc. as those good heal potions are giving you 40 or 60 heals each slug. Saves masses of spells on your healer. I put this on my main fighter and have Shadowheart heal him as needed or swig a potion if really needed.
Actually the best part of the sentient amulet is an exploit that allow it to combine with a couple other items to let you deal infinite damage without using up any actions or bonus actions.
@@JasonDunna I forget the details, but I remember that trying to use the Talk to the Amulet ability while in combat does not start a conversation but does reset some counter which otherwise prevents some conditions from being passively applied over and over without doing something else like equipping and unequipping items. surgeon's subjugation amulet in theory should pair nicely with my build, seeing as how by the middle of act 3 my dark urge is a dual-wielding champion fighter with both orin's bloodthirst daggers, the dead shot, and sarevok's horned helmet equipped. but it only works on humanoids, and rarely is the one monster of the day i actually want to paralyze a humanoid in this game.
2 of my favorite amulet are not here The amulet from Moonrise Tower that inflict reverberation that I dont know the name in english and the amulet of branding, which is great for any characters that dont have a great use for the bonus action
Evocation wizard with the +2 damage from callous glow ring, added damage from level 10 evocation spell damage, lightning charges and the psychic spark is my favourite build because I love spells and you do around 40-60 damage just from a level 1 magic missile.
@JasonDunna dragonborn draconic sorcerer and the Potent Robe that Alfira gives you and maybe one other thing idr but my ray of frost hits like a freight train. Average damage is like 26 27 at lvl10.
Is this a part 1, or is it a list of only the amulets that you've found? There are so much more amulets in the game... One of my favorites is Amulet of the Harpers, which gives you the Shield ability. Or Periapt of Wound Closure, which makes you always get healed for as much as possible. Moondrop Pendant ain't bad for the early game... and so on :P
I also use amulet of harpers throughout the whole game until I get 23 con amulet lol advantage on wisdom sav throws and free shield is just way too good
I’ve gotten all the amulets in the game but I picked 17 of them to talk about, it gets hard because a lot of them reuse artwork so it’s hard to differentiate them when I’m making the video 😅 maybe in the future after a couple more playthroughs I’ll reevaluate and do all amulets
How did you not include silver necklace here? On demand guidance is so incredibly useful the entire game. Also periapt of wound closure is excellent. No spineshudder amulet? Reverb is excellent in this game. And psychic spark is ranked far too low. It’s excellent on any magic missle build and magic missle builds are some do the best in the game. I also don’t think the constitution amuket is that great. Con is a reactive ability and if you know what you’re doing you should killing most enemies before they can attack. Con is not useless but it’s also not the best item in the game either.
Taking a level of barbarian gives you constitution based armor class, which can be used with a shield! It also gives you the constitution saving throw proficiency for all your concentration spells. It’s pretty good. Wizards can learn any level 6 spell from a scroll and prepare it so it’s not like sorcerer where you lose a level 6 spell
Amulet of Silvanus is good if you’re Astarion’s juice box, use once in morning then switch; But I really like the Spineshudder Amulet-paired with Coruscation Ring, Wizard or Sorcerer can debuff crowd of enemies with one AOE spell 😄
