wanted to attend on of the 10 year anniversary concerts but some weeks before the tour started Rou said in an interview that it won't be a concert whey they just play the TTTS album from start to finish.. so I didn't buy tickets. looked at the setlist they used and they played almost every song from that album. fuck enter shikari
I think you're misunderstanding my comment man rou said that they won't just play every song from TTTS - that's why I did NOT buy tickets. looked at the setlist and what he said was BS - they played almost all TTTS songs (which I didn't expect because of his statement in that interview)
I met them a few times, and one of the times I asked Rou, "in all honesty, how much do you hate Sorry You're Not?" He answered with a "No, no, we don't hate that song".... but his tone told me differently lol
I'm 23 and enter shikari were the first band i ever saw live, you gave me one of the most memorable nights of my life and i'll always remember it and this album. its perfect to me!
I remember rushing into my local HMV on the weekend that take to the skies was released after listening to their EPs non stop in the year leading up to it. Then I got tickets to see them headline Brixton academy later that year as an excited 14 year old. 10 years ago eh. Fucking hell
Sorry you're not a winner got heads turning and did a lot for them lets be honest, it's a good song and I'm glad they did what they had to be able to be comfortable with it after all this time, fucking awesome band very talented all their music is unique and well put together, love it
The curse of a band is when a song becomes so popular that playing it becomes a chore. I always find it such a shame when musicians end up hating something they’ve created.
Actually my comment was meant more as dry humor. Holden asked "What is up with rou's hair?". I then said Looks to be the top and right. Meaning physically the top and right side of his hair is sticking up the most. Cough cough... I tried..
god. I remember at the beginning of 2007 in school for me when take to the skies was *brand* fucking new. all my friends were going crazy over it (well, all 3 of my friends). same went for count your blessings by bring me the horizon. sadly both of their albums after those were bad. I can't believe that was 10 years ago.
wow, do you do this often? call people who disagree with your particular opinion "fucking idiots"? that's a bit extreme. a bit over-dramatic. but consider this: their music(s) both got quite different after their first proper albums. if I thought they were bad, that's to say that I merely preferred their older sound. it's not that they necessarily got good or bad, they simply became pretty unrecognizable in my opinion, which is one dimension of "bad" when you happen to actually like the style in the first place.
Alex R bands all enter shikari music has been phenomial you don't know what your talking about . You'll learn to like music later down the road and see that bands change every album so that fans won't get bored.
well, obviously you're, what, 10 years old, because you don't know the difference between "your" and "you're", so obviously your opinion isn't worth very much. and, also, am I not *allowed* to only like the original enter shikari sound? fuck off. and sensesfail, looking back, no, common dreads was pretty good, but I really didn't like it at the time. but every other album: nah.
Alex R it's funny you get all hurt hurt from people telling you that you are obviously a moron. You also don't read people's comments I never said you can't just like the original so you made your self be the idiot good job douche.
What a load of shit this is my favourite album and they have just killedit , wanted to know the stories behind them and meaning not just ' o can't remember ' o don't actually know,
+danny mason Most of what they said here is accurate from what I learned the past 10 years. Any other reasons for writing Take to the Skies equate to: Make Music. Get Money. Fuck Bitches. There really wasn't a huge shift towards 'Meaning' until the stuff in Triblism and Common dreads. Get realistic, they were kids at the time; You really expected them to be more prophetic? Sorry Your not a Winner.
I was so thankful they did a take to the skies 10 years anniversary tour, it was crazy to see live, and Roy's voice really got better over time
You mean Rou?
wanted to attend on of the 10 year anniversary concerts but some weeks before the tour started Rou said in an interview that it won't be a concert whey they just play the TTTS album from start to finish.. so I didn't buy tickets. looked at the setlist they used and they played almost every song from that album. fuck enter shikari
HAHA Roy omg sorry you're nottttt
Havoc What? So they literally did exactly what Rou said they would. Why are you angry at that?
I think you're misunderstanding my comment man

new rou hair= new ES era

Rou's hair is so cool why isn't that mainstream??
Because its basically scene hair from 2009
Rou's hair looks so sick omfg. They're still wearing their Slam Dunk performer wristbands that makes me so happy!
srsly dig this band....for years now.... they really deserve more popularity
Take to the Skies was one of the best and most original debuts of the 00s!
The music in the background really captures the heavy hardcore sound of Take to the Skies.
Rou looks exactly like my science teacher. It's hard to watch Enter Shikari's music videos because of that!
You have/had a really attraktive science teacher then.
i love this band more than anything
Glad they don't mind playing SYNAW again. I hate to see bands feeling forced to play a song for the masses that they aren't digging themselves.
wish I knew about shikari in the Pionner Club St Albans days 😢
Old fan here 💜 Love u guys so much i am really proud of my tattoo of you!
Cant wait till november!!!
Jackie Chun same

Was Rou mistaking the "zipline of death" being in the ACHITNHH video when it was actually in snakepit?
Realy nice channel ! It would be great to put fragments of the songs that the bad is actually talking about during the interview :)
I love how Rou looks like the definition of a scientist
Is Rou the only one who's appearance actually changes in the band?
Ugh I love them
Awesome guys
This looks and sounds like it was filmed in the spoons. xD
Synaw is kinda like enter shikari's creep...
The curse of a band is when a song becomes so popular that playing it becomes a chore.
I always find it such a shame when musicians end up hating something they’ve created.
I like Rou's watch 👍
I like Rou and his voice :D
first
Rock Sound lol
Rob 😍
Can you do this with Pierce the Veil please?
What is up with Rou's hair?
Looks to be the top and right side.
Jeremiah Tarver rou can't accept the ageing hairline and slowly looks worse year by year
Actually my comment was meant more as dry humor. Holden asked "What is up with rou's hair?". I then said Looks to be the top and right. Meaning physically the top and right side of his hair is sticking up the most. Cough cough... I tried..
that arm... is this a birthmark transformed into a stickman?
The first time i saw them they didn't play SYNAW... i contemplated not seeing them again but i have seen them since now.

danny mason it was 10 years ago you fucking bellend
I know how long ago the album was I got it when it came out, the fact they are saying they don't know what half of it is is abit disappointing
