Main applicant ko hi PPR email aati hai. So, that's completely fine.
Bas aapko submission ki appointment sabhi applicants ke liye karni hai, and you can use the same PPR for all applicants. Good Luck 👍
And, please read all the instructions in the PPR email very carefully. That will answer your concerns.

It is good if both adults will go to submit the passport . Kids are not required to go . But to be safe side get kids along with you..
Hello, did you and your wife get seperate Ready for Visa email? I just got one email that was addressed to me with no mention of my wife. Can I use the same document to book an appointment for my wife? Does my wife even need to be present for passport submission or I can submit it on her behalf in the same envolope? Thanks,

Only the main applicant receives this email, and yes the same can be used to book appointments for all the applicants.
Your wife has to go for passport submission.

Documents should be packed In envelope or loose while giving personally at VFS canada
You can take them loose, also take a good quality envelope, and can pack or seal the docs there. This way you can verify the documents with them before submission.

You've not mentioned complete details about your case, so we have to take some assumptions:
1. That you're in India (or anywhere outside of Canada)
2. You (have received PPR, and) are yet to submit passports.
3. Your father also received PPR, and has already submitted his passport and other required documents. But, he is waiting for the COPR letter.
Answers:
1. PPR -> COPR usually takes 2-3 weeks, but can vary on application to application basis. It can take longer.
2. Yes, his COPR is compulsory. You'll have to wait.
Additionally, your father can apply for a GCMS Notes application which gives a clear picture of the current status of the canada visa application.
