      @@EinarLerschen I’ve started it a few times and ran it thru some heat cycles. I’ve yet to ride it, other than that little trip down the street and back.

    Your half-assed winging is pretty good work. It's encouraging to me to dive into a little motor work. I'm not a mechanic but i an inclined to wrench.
    I'd love to go on that ride in September but we are moving into a new house the week prior and I'd probably need a lawyer if i took off that weekend. 😅😅

    For you saying you hadn’t ever fitted rings to a piston, you made it look like a pro. Just to mention a good idea… when removing or installing wrist pin cir-clips, putting a clean rag over the crankcase opening can prevent a clip getting “launched” into the engine !!

    In case you didn’t know TB parts has a section of their site full of technical info. I’m pretty they have instructions there on how to install the big bore kit there.

      @@zachsiebers5742 I’m aware, but……I’ve watched too many Mustie1 videos, over the past 15 years, and he refuses to look info up, before he works on something. Part of the fun is seeing if you can figure it out on your own. I only mentioned instructions, because I know some out there would freak out without them.

    piston cut outs around wrist pin one bal. with high dome 2 nd. helps control piston expansion HAPPY WRENCHEN

    I like it. Just changed the head on the ruckus and had never done that either. Sadly I was missing some parts so I couldn't get it started that day

    Good thing you trimmed the gasket around the o-ring, or it may have caused a gap in the gasket.

    Enjoyed it, Mike! I will be interested to see what the performance difference will be. The increase in compression with the domed piston might give it some extra oomph.

    I enjoyed the video, and absolutely love the ST90. Although you didn't show it, I'm assuming you did torque those head bolts. I like that you showed how easy it is to install the big bore kits on these engines.

      @@bartgoins1782 By torquing the heads bolts, if you meant put a wrench on them and tighten until they felt tight……yep, I torqued them. 🤣

    Hope it all comes together perfectly! Started right up and ran great; you had an O-ring on the shelf, suggests that trimming the gasket was the right thing. How many.CC's now?

      @@horsewnoname872 The kit says it’s 141cc now. I’m not sure the kit was intended to be used with my engine. I think on Lifan’s, they have an o-ring in that spot, that gets reused. My Zongshen didn’t have one, but I made it work…..I think! Time will tell.

    Great content and entertaining narrative on these little bikes! Did you do any upgrades to the suspension on your ST? I've thought about longer travel forks and shocks to carry my 225lbs.

      @@PacRat69 Thanks. I did replace the rear shocks, with some from Amazon. The front seemed fine. I’m 225 and had 50+ pounds behind me…..everything worked great and it was a comfortable ride.

    I need to rebuild my cb125s's front struts, bumping up to the 200's... As much as i love my Navi, for those speeds I gotta step up to 125cc. Might try to go. It's lovely country out there.

      @@pellingt Ben’s ride will happen at a MUCH slower speed, than my Spring Ride. I’m pretty sure he’s taking the same route, that he took me on in April 2023. With a fuel stop and a very quick lunch, it took us over 5 hours to go 60 miles. It was quite the ride. I wouldn’t be going back for a second trip, if it wasn’t worth it. Come join us!

      I have no problem with speed, just wasn't prepared last time. Tech question: with more CC, but no carb adjustment, shouldn't it be running lean now?

      @@pellingt I’m not sure on your carb question. I did purchase a 24mm Nibbi, to try on this engine. Over the next couple weeks, I’ll be swapping some parts to try and find the peak setup.

      @@Shevyrabbit1 If I’m understanding correctly, you put the front forks on the opposite side from stock? The brake would still work, the routing of the cable would look different and may be too short.

      @@abelqtpie9936 Those videos should already be on my channel, from when I picked up my Champion a couple years ago. “….to make the bike reliable”….. I took the emissions equipment off mine. I pulled the black plastic plug covering the air/fuel mix screw and added washers to the swingarm. That’s all you really need to make it a fun, reliable ride. Any other changes are really just personal riding experience changes.

      @@lesheath6216 Correct. I misspoke. The kit with the shorter cylinder is 138cc. I bought both kits, like 4 months ago and forgot there was a 3cc difference between the two.

    Should put a zs190cc in it 5 speed electric start also has kick 70mph they usually come as a kit with oil cooler and carb.💯🫡👍✌️

      @@josephsaucedo8691 The oil cooler is exactly why I don’t mess with the bigger engines. I want my bikes to look as closely to stock as possible. Original bikes didn’t have oil coolers, so they’re a big eyesore, in my opinion.

      @@josephsaucedo8691 I did the 190 thing, like 15 years ago. I’m aware of what an oil cooler does. I’m more into the looks of a bike, rather than the performance. All my bikes have to have the engine guard, which is hard to fit on the 190/212’s. In a nutshell, I did those engines a long time ago, I’ve moved past them.
