For clarification, the protagonist from the first game is Altair from the Third Crusade Jerusalem, and the protagonist from II, Brotherhood, and Revelations is another guy by the name of ezio, he is the only guy who has multiple games and his take place during the Italian renaissance in the late 1400s and early 1500s. What you saw in the Revelations trailer was Ezio seeing a vision of sorts of the og protagonist, Altair. Loved your guy's reaction, and keep up the dope work.
The woman from AC Odyssey is also in AC Valhalla so ezio technically isn't the only person with more than 1 game

This game series has some of the best cinematic trailers out there. And in my opinion they gets progressively better. I absolutely loved the most recent one, so much so I had to rebuy the the first game and the Ezio trilogy. Man what an experience those goes are. My personal favourite is Origins though, its hard to beat a game set in Ancient Egypt. Also the guy you were wondering who he was in the 4th trailer was the guy from the first trailer.
Just a wee history on the Roman Empire, the first AC game in Italy is set in the 1486 and the Roman Empire fell in roughly 476 AD so roughly a thousand years before that game was set. The city of Rome lived on, it was just no longer dictated over by a single emperor. Lots of historians pose that the real fall of Rome was caused by many things but the main factor was the Roman Empire was split into two separate ones ruled by separate Emperors. I likely butchered this but I am only paraphrasing. :)
Technically the entire Roman Empire didn’t fall until 1453 with the sack of Constantinople and the death of Constantine XI
The game was set in 1476
The guy in the first trailer is Altair who lived during the crusades in Jerusalem. The guy in the second, third and fourth trailers is Ezio who lived during the Renaissance period in Italy. Ezio also later travelled to the Ottoman empire. The apparition of the guy you see in white clothes in the last trailer is Altair. Ezio is basically retracing Altair's footsteps, that is how he ends up in the Ottoman empire.
I grew up with these bad boys and loved playing them. Brotherhood was my all time favourite.
you mentioned how badass it will be if there was a series. There actually is a live action series for Assassin's Creed coming to Netflix! There was a special anniversary last year where this was announced along with a bunch of other AC content

just started playing the games like 3 days ago, have been a fan of them for a long time but never played them, happy to see this as i also watch your content.
Seeing these trailers being a beautiful and tear falling nostalgic moment for me as I played almost all the Assassin’s Creed games and they bring joy in my soul to see new people react to them 😄 with that said, you two watch a show? Your in luck as Netflix is going to be a animated series based on Assassin’s Creed and it’s going to be amazing to air sometime next or this year.

Assassin’s Creed 1 and AC Bloodline -First Crusade War

Assassin’s Creed Revelations- Ottoman Empire War
There are two movies that canon movies and one stand alone one being Assassin’s Creed “2016”

If you’re curious, in the Revelation trailer he wraps the noose around the bald dudes neck and jumps off the edge, the soldiers cut the rope to prevent the bald guy from choking to death and it frees Ezio.
Back in the day when Assassin's Creed was truly Assassin's Creed
When they say based on historical events what they are referring to is that the people you meet in the game (not including your own character) actually existed and these "events" actually happened but they threw in a bit of creative license. For example AC1 - Altair in Jerusalem, fought with the Templar Knights. AC2 - Ezio Auditore joined the Midici and waged war against the Borgia in Renaissance Italy to avenge his family. Brotherhood - he built up the brotherhood and they took down Cesare and Rodrigo Borgia who was actually Pope Alexander VI at the time. Revelations - Ezio follows clues of Altairs life and it leads him back to Masyaf, home of the Arab Muslim Brotherhood. So Ubisoft's entire reasoning for these events and unexplained deaths of these people throughout history is "it was the assassins".
The AC revelations trailer doesn't end there, I don't know why it did on this. It shows how he got out of that. I recommend watching the full version of that.

you know when he had the black assassin outfit, the hallucinations he saw was something like the spirit of the assassin from the first trailer you watched in this video his name is Altair, but the rest of the trailers were all the same guy his name Ezio

This is a brilliant game series no doubt, BUT a lot changes over time that has lead to many mixed opinions within the fanbase. If you do get around to play these, I hope you find every reason to enjoy them!

For Christmas back in 08 I got a ps3 with cod 4, assassin creed, beowolf,motor storm and smack down vs raw 2008 man games hit better back then
I was playing AC revelation when the trailer started
Assassin's Creed 2, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and Assassin's Creed Revelations is all Ezio Auditore's life story every aspect of it from him being a rookie becoming a feared assassin and then a mentor for all assassin's. Revelations is where Ezio's story is at an ending along with explaining the life of Assassin Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad who was a very important Assassin in history and Ezio gets to see his story.
The first 5 or so games are incredible imo. Up to Black Flag

Up till rouge story was amazing but if we’re talking gameplay mechanics the series really fell off after unity (if you look past the bugs at the release date)

The whole series is fun. Even as a longtime player of them, there are certain games I like better than others. I've heard rumor that there's possibly a Netflix series in the works, but there's also a movie that got mixed reviews. Looking forward to watching the rest of the parts and hopefully seeing you start the series!

Definitely check out the short film Assassins Creed: Lineage it give background the Ezios dad and what happens before the 2nd game. There’s also a 2016 movie but sequels got cancelled

Assassin's Creed takes place all around the world as different characters and different time periods except the etzio trilogy which is the ones where hes in Italy.

People have very different opinions on these games, especially with the recent installments switching up the franchise’s gameplay mechanics and playstyles, but there’s no denying they have some sick trailers
I tend to agree with this dislike of change in mechanics but I have to strongly disagree on the change to the maps. I love the combat from the Ezio trilogy but having that in an open world setting be the best of both worlds. My personal favourite is Origins for a handful of reasons but I can't act like the combat in that game was as enjoyable as any of the Ezio Trilogy.
Everyone acknowledges that the games are good they just want a game that's up to date only way I see Ubisoft clutching is by making good remasters of the old games
@@DazHotep6EQUJ5 the problem is that for the parkour to feel fun it needs to have cities or places to climb and jump from Valhalla's parkour would have been better if it had more buildings
@@DazHotep6EQUJ5 the open worlds of both origins and odyssey were amazing. Loved them both. I personally am a fan of the RPG style they’ve gone, but origins’ combat system was brutal. Painfully obvious that it was their first time trying something like that. I think Mirage is supposed to go back to the old combat system from before origins, and if they keep the massive open worlds like they’ve made in the last few, I think we could be in for a classic

You want a tv series based on the game? Well they made a movie, starring Michael Fassbender, and it sucked and it flopped in 2016. A huge part of that is they can't pack the story in just a 90 minute runtime without a lot of sacrifices. This is why video games adaptations are just better suited for the tv series format. The Last Of Us kind of proves that.
