I don’t know if you know this, but there is a specific way of tying the Castañer wedges. The band in the back of the heel is supposed to be pulled forward so it makes a loop and then you put your foot inside the loop and into the shoe and after that you wrap the bands and tie them. If you do it like that they will not get loose and feel secure on your foot 🥰

I just ordered the Castaners on sale at net-a-porter in my usual size- are they true to size? I‘ve tried H&M but they are uncomfortable, i also don’t like the hard sole, makes it quite uncomfortable to walk

Hey! I actually find them very comfortable and they don't cut the back of my feet personally! So I would recommend them for sure. But i would also not say the back is extra soft, i guess that if you walk a lot in them it could potentially start hurting the back of your feet!
hi I don’t know if you purchased the Castañer espadriles but if not I just wanted to add that the back is comfy. However the canvas above/over the foot can hurt a little when you walk for long periods of time. But a simple patch can save you, and I think the canvas will eventually loosen up so that it won’t gnaw on your foot anymore. I don’t know this for sure as I haven’t worn mine so many times.
