What about painful hot spots on the upper part of the foot? Happens to me approaching 80-100 miles. I normally have to come out of my shoe and pedal on top of the shoe. Any wisdom, to the cause and effect with a possible cure? I'm a lone trainiac with long distance aspirations. My sherpa wife Jennifer tells me it's not worth it but I believe I can overcome, any suggestions? Joe Elliott
That's not something I could possibly guess over the Internet. It could be anything from a poorly fitting shoe to a body alignment problem. This is not a diagnosis OR a prescription -- but perhaps try a different pair of shoes and see if that fixes it. If not, go to a sports physio and see what they can find.
what do you think about the idea of mid foot cycling?
Bel video complimenti !
Thanks, now I know why my knee hurts......
We are shoe twins! Did you have to trim the velcro strap that goes over your mid-foot? Mine keeps rubbing on the crank arm and it drives me crazy.

We're going to cover the 3 contact points... The saddle, the pedals, the pads and the handlebars. Good counting.
pads + handlebar = front end, and they pretty much depend on each other
thats not your knee btw its your quad muscle
