Nobody goes a mile from the road because most places in the east it's very hard to get a mile from any road. There's roads everywhere

I have luck going downhill, because most hunters dont want to drag a deer uphill.

Guys we need a video on browse...I think a lot of hunters forget that deer eat a lot more things than acorns and grass .there are good feed areas inside a lot of cutovers

I have observed the does going to the mature bucks bedding area. On our lease here in Georgia, pine forest timber, hard woods near water and ridges where pines can't be harvested. Does, as now November 18, have separated from fawns and yearlings. Where did the mature does go? To the bucks bedding area? Only chasing is spikes and young bucks. Mature does are hard to find.

I did notice today that there were a lot less does than normal. Locked down with the mature bucks..

I agree 100% I'm in Georgia also. I have observed this also for years. I recall talking about this with my best hunting bud back in my twenties I'm 56 now I see this every year.

I observe the same thing quite often. However, I don't think they intentionally go to the mature bucks. In early November my cousin got some footage of a buck pushing a doe down a ridge with his antlers and kept cutting her off as she tried to go up the ridge to feed in the field. I think the does get tired of being prodded, chased, etc. so they seek out super thick cover to try and hide to find some peace from bucks. In the end, the buck will sniff out the doe and find her.

You only have a few more options to hunt a big buck, other than 3 miles deep in the woods, or 3 feet from the road

The internet has been one of the worst things thats happened to killing big bucks. Way more hunters hunting spots they normally wouldnt. Ive hunted northern maine for years used to be and you could get away from other hunters. Not anymore. So the web is a double edge sword.

the first sentence isn't true at all. what i'm often seeing is youngsters staying close to a monster buck. could be it's his dad, and he knows that, i don't know. and i see big, mature bucks in pairs often.

He hunts in areas where there are 2-3 deer per square mile.... instead of getting hung up on one sentence just hear him out. He is on another level in the areas he hunts.

He's probably talking about during rut. Very common to see bucks in bachelor groups during the summer. One the testosterone starts to flow, usually the big bucks don't let the smaller bucks come around. But then after the rut, again with a running mate or two. They will stay behind their running mates, basically to send them in to scope out an area first before he enters.
