In this video, I share exactly how I manage my weekly calendar as I grow my new business from the ground up. I’ve built three companies up to the
$5 million mark. Now, I want to pass on my life and business lessons to you so you can avoid the headaches I went through.
I talk about the struggle of managing daily tasks, knowing what to do on which day, and balancing time for marketing your business. I walk you through my current weekly schedule and explain how I’ve structured my days to include both the creative (“maker”) and managerial (“manager”) roles that every business owner has to handle.
My day starts at 7 AM with what I call “consume” time-listening to positive content, like podcasts, to get inspired and start my day with the right mindset. From 9 to 11 AM, I either train or handle tasks like client meetings. Physical training is important to me for both my mental and physical well-being, so I make sure to prioritize it.
Between 11 AM and noon, and again from 4 to 5 PM, I dedicate time to managerial tasks: answering emails, taking calls, and paying bills. But the most important block of my day is from 12 to 4 PM, when I focus on content creation. This is when I work on videos, notes, and preparing new material for my business, which is essential for promoting and growing my company.
In the evening, I have another “study/consume” block where I read or listen to something informative. Throughout the week, I fit in client meetings as needed, but I leave room for flexibility.
I emphasize that for anyone starting a business, especially when revenue is still low, most of your time needs to be spent on marketing and promoting-getting your business out there. I’m fortunate to have passive income right now, but I still need to be strategic about how I use my time to build this new business.
I wrap up by stressing how important it is to create a structured calendar that focuses on growth actions, and to stick to it. Having a checklist and turning your goals into daily tasks helps keep you on track and prevents you from wasting time. In the early stages, your calendar should be heavily focused on content creation and marketing-everything else can wait.
Thanks for watching, and if you found this helpful, don’t forget to like, subscribe, and leave a comment. I appreciate all the feedback!
