July 10 - nearly three years ago, the statue of Robert E Lee on horseback rode out of a downtown Charlottesville park on the back of a flatbed.
The removal was a victory for those who’d been fighting to get rid of the Confederate tribute, but came at a great cost.
Here to talk about that effort and the path since then is Dr. Andrea Douglas, Executive Director of Jefferson School Heritage Center
We are also joined by Wells Todd, organizer with Take ‘Em Down Jax, which is hosting Dr. Douglas’ upcoming appearance in Jacksonville
