Thanks so much for this review. I have been contemplating to get the E92 320i, but seems like I need to find a reliable one (as they don't sell it in Premium Selection). Very good choice of buying from Premium Selection though. Bought my F20 118i in 2016 from them & had minimal issues, but all was covered. Recently traded it in for the G20 320i also from Premium Selection. Amazing choice for first time BMW buyers who wants a better peace of mind.

Hi, I have changed my transmission oil recently. Do not believe on what BMW said. FYI, my end come with GM gear box, their transmission oil are different type with zf...
@@MJYap Hi, noted with thanks. This is a tricky matter and many BMW owners are not aware. I was deliberating within as to whether to post this or not, but for BMW owners who intend to keep their cars for long period this may be useful. But firstly, please note that I am not an expert in car maintenance, so you will need to consult your car service consultant on this. If you still send your car to the dealership for service speak to them too especially if your car is still under warranty. As far as I know from experience (E90 and F10) and from discussion with the service personnel both within and outside the dealership, BMW does not recommend changing the transmission oil per the regular scheduled service, as the transmission oil is meant to be for the lifetime of the transmission. As such, I believe you will see BMW cars that are running flawlessly with 100-120k km or more on the road that has the original transmission oil that has been used since new. I found out that both my previous E90 at 120k km and F10 at 105k km have never changed their transmission oil. As I am not an expert, you will need to speak to your service center consultant on this and, if its a dealership I suspect they will advise you not to change it and even if they agree to change it (and they won't change it once the mileage passes 60k km I understand for reason mention below), they will likely charge you for it (since its not in the scheduled service). Also please be careful and check with the dealership, whether changing transmission oil outside the dealership would void the warranty - so best speak to the dealership... speak to your dealership ... speak to your dealership. I have been advised by a non-dealer BMW specialist to change the transmission oil at 50k km interval (with the first change when the car hits 50k km mileage) to allow for a longer life span for the transmission. But if you have a BMW that has 100-120k km mileage without the transmission oil having been changed before, you will need to make a call whether to change or not, as new transmission oil may result in transmission slippage. I changed the transmission oil for my F10 at 105k km and luckily there were no issues, and this was after the warranty period of 5-years. Again, please check with your dealership on warranty matter if your car is still under warranty before deciding. I was also advised by the same person to change the "transmission heat exchanger" at around 150k km (or earlier if you wish), as wear and tear in the heat exchange may result in water mixing with the transmission oil resulting in transmission failure. It is a small preventive cost in lieu of a costly repair bill. Just my 2 cent, and again as a caveat, I am not a car maintenance expert so please speak to your service consultant and dealership on this if you wish to find out more.
Hi there, my advice is just change what ever you can on each regular service if you are tight in budget. If not, then just change in all in one time in 100,000km ...

Coz I'm planning about to own this bmw E90 as my first car in my 19 but still I'm worrying about the maintenance and about the petrol price, coz of that I'm still surveying more reviews about this E90 on internet, looking forward for your reply bro...
Hi, thanks for the question. I am not sure are you staying in Malaysia or not? If in Malaysia, with RM1500 income... there will be a little bit difficult if you go for E90 especially 325i as the fuel consumption, road tax, insurance and maintenance might exceed your income on that month when all come together. The road tax for example, will be RM900 per year. Let said if your income is RM1500, when you pay the road tax, your remaining balance is left only RM600.... But dont stop to chase for your dream car, cause i believe your income wont stop at RM1500 only... or if you want to try, maybe can take a look 320D, which road tax and fuel can save quite a lot... above are just my own opinion. Hope can help you.
Hi Alvin, my advice is get the 2.5 over 2.0...Cause of the price of between 2.5 and 2.0 are not much different and 2.5 are much enjoyable to drive because of the powerband, sound and BMW signature straight 6... Both engine got their own issue. Just to standby some extra money to fix the issue. E90 for your 1st car is good , but you need to do some homework and really go to market to search for some good E90. For salary wise, E90 is a cash but car, unless you want to loan kedai… if let say you no need to pay loan, an average person can easily own that car (ps: need to have some savings to maintain the car as this is still a BMW which the maintenance still consider high compare to local/Japan made car) . Last, if you want to own an e90…. Please go for 6 cylinder model ya …
Well, this depend on your car price/value...For mine is 2k per year ...I think the cost that you need to take care is road tax which is almost 900 per year (2,500 cc) ...

Hi, 10k is just to fix those issue that you can see. The maintenance route suppose need to keep continue while you own the car. And do some preventive maintenance too… For e90 and e60 both have their own issue … Cause both of them using different engine (N52 vs M54 etc.. depend on which year made of E60)… And also both of them are from different series (3vs5)…. Depend on which model you like and buy it for maintenance…. For me…Both are great cars….cheers👍

Thanks for you support and welcome to join the e90 family.... Well, I din facing any low coolant warning after these 7k of driving... No brother I mean your car dosent have the light whatsoever like even when you turn the ignition on the light is supposed to appear . Then go away after start up you get what I’m saying
If you want to buy E90… better do check with owner that willing to sell with full service history… which you save you a lot in term of maintenance and user experience….
Hi , the car not really suitable for city driving as the gear selection always start with 2nd gear in D and you will feel sluggish when you need to pull off from traffic lights. And also the fuel consumption no that good in city drive, you will only get around 7-8km/litre. But if this car is your weekend car, then this is a very good choice especially when cruising along the highway which those 4 cylinders cannot match.
Hrm, which model or spec that you have? No doubt the interior is bad compare to Mercedes ... Other than that, the suspension can swap to bilstein or original non m sport model to gain the comfort back... For no spare wheel...I think a lot of car other than BMW nowadays provide the repair kit instead spare wheel too....
@@SunnyP81 Every BMW comes with run-flat tyres which makes the ride a bit uncomfortable and also the same reason why they don't have a spare wheel! Don't buy a BMW if you're looking for comfort! Especially not a 3 series. Get a 5 or 7 series

@@MJYap im been eyeing on 320D in a year. is it as good as 325i? been driven Santa Fe 2.2crdi & in love with diesel engine..

That all for your feedback 👍
Hi sir...is this car good for daily drive?
Hi , the car not really suitable for city driving as the gear selection always start with 2nd gear in D and you will feel sluggish when you need to pull off from traffic lights. And also the fuel consumption no that good in city drive, you will only get around 7-8km/litre. But if this car is your weekend car, then this is a very good choice especially when cruising along the highway which those 4 cylinders cannot match.
is it a FWD or RWD??
RWD
Mine is a pile of shit. Never buying BMW again. Awful interior, terrible suspension, no spare wheel.
@@MJYap The same as yours except not M Sport. 2007 325i. The worst car I've ever owned. I want to push it off a cliff into the sea.
@@SunnyP81 I think u don’t like that car better sale the car buy other car next car also if u like u buy if don’t like don’t buy
@@SunnyP81 Every BMW comes with run-flat tyres which makes the ride a bit uncomfortable and also the same reason why they don't have a spare wheel! Don't buy a BMW if you're looking for comfort! Especially not a 3 series. Get a 5 or 7 series
Very cute car looks like mine lol
