This led many women to become less feminine and, in many cases, hard and overly masculine. They have been self-reliant so long that the ideal of getting under a good man's leadership and being a submissive wife does not register. At best, she wants to be her husband's equal in authority. That does not work in any setting. This is why the more successful a man is, the more he prefers a younger woman. That's what it is, deal with it, or stay single.
