kpop that was influenced by hyperpop, digicore, bubblegum bass and decontructed club !!! instrumentals: • ITZY - 24HRS | Instrum... • NCT 127 'Bring The Noi...
fun fact: scottish and trans music producer / artist SOPHIE, produced 24 hours for itzy! SOPHIE was known for practically "reinventing" pop music in the 2010's, and she created a major growth spurt for the hyperpop community! SOPHIE made the famous song 'FACESHOPPING' as well as the tiktok famous 'LEMONADE'. Sophie sadly died in the year of 2020, after a tragic accident in athens greece (RIP SOPHIE).
Omg! I love hyperpop in k-pop, it's definitely a weird genre to watch and we need more of it. Now I'm excited for NCT's 'Call D' and 'The BAT'. WE CHEERED!! btw, SUMIN and NECTA are my favorite artists .ᐟ.ᐟ
hey, just wanted to say that I love your videos and I admire your knowledge about music genres ! I personally don't know much ab this stuff but I do enjoy everything you do. your explanations and examples are very interesting to watch !! personally I love the hyperpop influence in kpop !! question: could "a to z" by cravity considered hyperpop? if not, in which genre would you locate it?
i think that “hyperpop” sound ur hearing is more hybrid trap influenced instead of hyperpop (or in this case deconstructed club) !!! kind of similar to ego by tbz where it’s a little similar to both but definitely leaning heavily towards hybrid trap (if that makes sense 😭)
i always love when kpop stans who know nothing about the hyperpop scene and only know of it from hyperpop-adjacent sounds on tiktok pretend they know what they're talking about when it comes to the genre lmao... very few of these examples even come close to hyperpop or deconstructed/experimental club
I swear it’s always a comment like this on these videos😭Share your knowledge about hyperpop then if you think all this knowledge came exclusively from tiktok
If you knew anything about hyper pop you would know that most hyper-pop artists hate the classification because the gene encompasses too much. Charli sounds nothing like Eric Doa who sounds nothing like Jane Remover. And here you are gatekeeping it when every hyper-pop artist under the sun doesn't even want to be in it. Let. It. Die.
I like this video! Is Billlie-Flipp!ng a Coin Hyperpop or is it Electropop? Can anyone please let me know. Also, is Billlie-Ring X Ring does anyone know what genre it is?
Would you classify IVE's Baddie and STACY'S Lit as hyperpop? They're definitely a lot more sparsely produced than is expected from hyperpop, but I think they're at least adjacent
This is 10 months late but: Killin' Me Good is "dance-pop" and "nu-disco" Closer and Wishing On You are "Contemporary R&B" Don't wanna go back is "hip hop soul" (a style of Contemporary R&B that started in the 90s, features tougher hip hop beats than usual R&B combined with smooth soulful vocals) Nightmare is alt pop and electropop I'm not sure about Room and Talkin About It
Barbie dreams is more like bubblegum pop/bubblegum dance. Bubblegum bass would be the closest of the genres in this video, but the production is lacking in "denseness" and EDM influence.
personally i think the upbeat cutesy influence would come from its bubblegum dance influence rather than a place of bubblegum bass or hyperpop.. but i can definitely see why you’d think it’s bubblegum bass both r very sugary and defined by cutesy melodies
I'd suggest The Blood ~ musm ft. ikki. lv.17 ~ fizz Jasmine ~ Liu Lee P.U.N.K.S ~ Bobae The Th1ng ~ Yaeji ft. Victoria Sin, Shy One Heartcore ~ Heartcore

I looove Savage cuz has Hyperpop and Dubstep influences
The way itzy and aespa could've owned this genre in kpop...
Please get their producers ( itzy) to get their shit together
like like by raon is literally such an insane song but I love it
I love that you included Raon! I love her sm.
you're a good nctzen for promoting golden age!! 💚😭
supercar and mini album in a whole has nothing but bops, ngl
haven't seen raon since that anime op covers' hype, glad she's now tryna go further
I didn’t know that there was a name for bubblegum bass! It’s a sound I’ve loved for a while but I’ve never heard it outside of kpop!

did you not see them say at the very beginning that this video is about kpop songs that have been influenced by hyperpop and similar genres
bros the genre general
If you knew anything about hyper pop you would know that most hyper-pop artists hate the classification because the gene encompasses too much. Charli sounds nothing like Eric Doa who sounds nothing like Jane Remover. And here you are gatekeeping it when every hyper-pop artist under the sun doesn't even want to be in it. Let. It. Die.
But you're right though, k-pop stans think every industrial-ass-sounding song is a deconstructed club.
hyperpop has to be my most favourite genre
IMO, Savage by aespa is the perfection of this genre
THE BAT HAS BEEN MY FAV SONG FOR THE PAST FEW WEEKS AAAAAAAAAA
Nct 127 OWN this genre
Good video about the genre . I didnt know that hyperpop can be categorised in other sub genres but now it makes sense.
thank you for including sumin🫶
yay ^^ i was waiting for this one
do you have playlists for genres? ill love to follow you on spotify
ooooh that's a good question, i m interested too
omg wait i made a playlist for this on spotify but i forgot to drop it 😭 let me put it in the replies now !!!!
sumin is so good
How do you know so much about music genres? I'm genuinely so curious
research, watching music creators, being on music forums, listening to a lot of music lol
i mean just liking music should be enough

Killin' Me Good is "dance-pop" and "nu-disco"

You have the simple K-tube thumbnail ever.
Bc of you I think i understand the m of music genre
are : Huff n Puff by red velvet & Home by nmixx hyper pop ?
Huff n Puff is electropop instead of hyperpop. You can tell because the production is clean sounding and the vocals/melody are very clear as well.
