This was an extremely thorough and detailed video covering everything from how to choose a microscope to identifying parasites (and everything in between). Thank you so much for producing this. It answered all the questions I still had even after spending hours reading tutorials and articles online.
Thank you for this great video! Is there a link you can direct me to with slides of egg identification? Or is it possible to receive a link to the powerpoint shown in the video? The photos & summary are excellent. Thanks!
Thank you for sharing this skill at an understandable level to us who may be new to it, and in a format where we can go back quickly to recall the info in a list form or vid form.
Thank you for such a thorough informative video. I’ve realized I don’t need to spend money on a crazy expensive microscope. Can’t wait to do MY FIRST FECAL. 😂😂😂 That would be a great name for a microscope 🤣🔬🧪💩🦠👩🏼🔬
I would like to suggest you do the entire fecal test start to finish without explanation at either the beginning or the end of the video. I almost didn't watch because it took 72 minutes to explain something that takes maybe 5 minutes start to finish. Would be happy to go back and search the why and wherefore after seeing the procedure done start to finish.
Thank you very much for the time and effort to put together this video and information. It is appreciated. Very helpful and very well done. Thank you again.
Thank you for releasing this video! You have raised my appreciation of both my life and my job to a new level! You have done this by making me realize that things could be a WHOLE LOT WORSE! FECAL EGG COUNTS? I won't be having breakfast at YOUR house! To each his or her own, but, DAMN!
+Robert Frapples This is an important medical/veterinary procedure. If you eat meat(this is vital info to agriculture) , end up with a parasite or have a pet infected.... You can be glad a intelligent person cared to research this for the health and wellbeing of animals and people ;) even if its not a glamorous job
Thanks! I still may not get any pictures from my 10$ digital microscope into a textbook anytime soon; but at least I know what I'm looking for. photos.app.goo.gl/1SWGfDPeLLyLVef28 I'm still confused about the concentration. Why does the ratio of the fecal sample to solution matter when you take the sample from the top, and it is not a homogeneous mixture? I'd think the diameter of what your extracting the sample from would be more important (ex. beaker vs. test tub)

THANK YOU for such a thorough, well explained video! I feel confident in tackling egg counting now!
This is a great video. So helpful even if you have your vet do fecal testing to understand the process.

Thank you so very much for this. And 40.40 just makes me giggle :) (which IS a good stress relief when dealing with parasites!)

Can someone direct me to the worksheet mentioned around 30:30 referencing the amounts of salt in water needed for a saturated solution?
