Thank you for subscribing. I've been using the Swallowtail for about six months now, and every time I use it I like it even more. I also use the two Mobius brushes the same. They are all great airbrushes.
Love watching older guys like you and barbatos rex. I feel when watching you guys it isn’t about money or who can get the most views, it’s just about an older guy with wisdom trying to share some of it out of passion.
You know the best instructions, are the ones in your own language. Thank you Mark for doing a 'strip down' of the 'Gaahleri Swallowtail' in a way that a novice like me can easily understand. I hope you can know how much it means to like minded people as I. I usually record all of your 'uploads', so that'll come in real handy in future. Again, thank you. Now you better go & take care of yourself and do something about that Frog in your throat!! 🐸 👍
Geez I'm finally getting a chance to comment on your video. Mark, one of the best take downs I've ever seen. Thanks so much. Absolutely a terrific video. Hopefully I'll get one with the big Black Friday sale.
Thank you. When I was starting out I was so afraid to take them apart because I didn't want to brake it. LOL That's why I did this, so maybe I can help.
@@grandpamarkshobbiesI'm sure you did. Maybe you should do one for the regular type, for people who can't spend the extra $ for the pistol grip. Or just don't like it. You do such a great job explaining this stuff. Thanks again Mark.
@@grandpamarkshobbiesI've got to ask... How do you find the time to respond to everyone? I love our banter, but it must take a lot of time to respond to all the questions and approvals you get.
When I started this I made a promise to myself and everyone who makes a comment that I will do my best to answer each and every comment good or bad. I figure that if you are kind enough to give me a thumbs up (or down) and a comment then it's only fair for me to respond. My channel is my way to give back to a hobby that has been so good to me, and even though it takes me about an hour or two a day to keep up on everything it doesn't seem that long.
Great demo, Mark! I was watching someone else review Gaahleri's new silent compressor, so I went to Gaahleri's website to see what the cost was (not that I intended to buy one, my current compressor is quite enough). Right now they have this airbrush on sale for $99, regularly $139. I now have one coming! With that 0.7mm needle and nozzle I figure this brush should have no issue spraying Vallejo surface primers or Stynylrez right out of the bottle!
From your initial review and seeing others subsequent reviews as well, just put in my order for it. Thank you for the link and saving me shipping fee! Most of all, saving this video for future reference. I do have their less expensive top trigger one and love using it. Can't wait to get pistol grip trigger happy!
I'm so glad I can help, and thank you for the kind words. If there's any other videos you'd like me to try let me know and I'll see what I can do. And I know you will love your new airbrush. It is fantastic.
Great video Mark. I'm definitely interested in getting one of these. I've never been completely comfortable with the top trigger on any airbrush. This appears so much better.
If you are interested, for Black Friday / Cyber Monday I'll have a direct link to Gaahleri's site that will have some big sales. I'll have a video and a link this Sunday or Monday. They told me it is going to be the biggest sale they've ever had.
Isn't it a good thing that there are both kinds. In my opinion I like the trigger for spraying larger parts. I've sprayed cars for many many years, and the trigger airbrush works great for me because of muscle memory. So it's a good thing everyone has a choice. They both have their place in my shop.
So you do know what I want for January 30th right? 🤣 Awesome video Mark! Get to feeling better soon. I have had human malware of some kind for 10 days or so and I 'm so so far be hind on everything... Lol Just now getting back to the bench and busting nuts to get the 50 Showboat done... 🤣 LLAP 🖖
OK, human malware is funny as heck. That's exactly how I feel too. Hey, if you are thinking of getting one of these hold off for the Black Friday Cyber Monday stretch, I'll have a link to Gaahleri's site that will have some big sales. I was told that almost everything will be on sale.
@@grandpamarkshobbiesWell sad to say Dec-Feb are no spend months to speak of. Insurance deductibles on med's and stuff so there will not be much if any for model stuff. I hate this time of the year... Lol But good to hear about the sale... 😁 LLAP 🖖
Takes way too long to break down and I won't be getting one. I would rather have a finger lever than a trigger lever anyway. I will be shopping for a .7 needle airbrush.
I can take this apart clean it and have it back together in less than ten minutes. I can clean it, strip it all the way down and grease it in less than 15. For people that have arthritis it is easier to hold and work. There is a knitch for everyone.
I take it all the way apart about once every two months. Since I don't use this as often as the others I don't strip it down all that often. The others I do about once a month, but I use them more.
This video popped up at just the right time for me. Very informative. I liked and subscribed. 😃

You just made my day. Thank you very much. That's the whole reason I do these videos.
Mark, I just ordered mine. I can't wait to use it. I haven't used an airbrush in at least 40 years. I'll have to learn this all over again.
Oh man are you going to like this. Use water and cardboard to get the feel back. It's a lot cheaper than paint. LOL
I've received mine after a month of waiting.
This airbrush is a no brainer
That took a while to get there. Where are you from? It is a great airbrush.
@@grandpamarkshobbies I'm from France ✌️
Wow, it must have come over by ship. I've always wanted to see France. Such a beautiful city.
@@grandpamarkshobbies I think It was stuck in customs
I didn't even think of that. Probably.

You are very welcome, thanks for watching.
Fine threads give you a better “wedge” action than cause threads! Hence finger tight should be fine! Most informative GM!👍
Oh for sure. They also help to be exact when lining up that screw hole. Thanks for watching.
@@grandpamarkshobbies you just have to watch out for cross threading! Easy to do with fine threads!!
For sure.

GOOD VIDEO
Thank you.
Nice airbrush, the gun trigger handle looks easier to use than the top mounted.😊
Thanks. It is a lot easier to do the big stuff, but I still use the other style for the close in work. Having the two of them is a game changer.
In my opinion the finger lever is better.

Should’ve put lube on needle before installing
I never lube the needle. I do not want the lube to contaminate my paint.
