I'm an outfitter guide. I've had 2 1000 Rangers neither lasted a year. If you do big game hunts and also bears and lions with hounds they don't last. I can't imagine this one will either. 50k for maybe a year is insane
It's good that Polaris understood what a good closing door means. Porsche 911s were very successful, especially the older ones with very satisfying door closing sounds.

I got a 1000 XD on order. had a 800 XD that I run into the ground on my cattle ranch before that for 13 years. love the machines but those rangers are there for a specific reason. they are there to take the punishment and to go the places a truck will not. (fencing.., checking pastures) even that 1500 can't haul my 30 neck goose hitch. Or feed three plus tons of feed a day. And to be honest that old 800 I had had power for days in the application it was put into with the exception of maybe putting tracks on it for the winter time (never got to that point)so the extra engine horse is really irrelevant. Yet they cost as much as a truck and you sure could get a decent skid steer for that kind of price pointso buying them for the abuse in the fields is no longer viable. Hope you guys keep the smaller models that are still at the right price point or I'll go get another brand. this is for guys with too much money who "think" they work hard.
Ever thought about Kevlar CV Boots so we don't spend so much time replacing them every time a stick flicks up and punctures them? What about the inside noise - I couldn't hear myself talk in my 2021 Trail Boss Limited Edition - any soundproofing in the new model? At AUS$66,500 (before any accessories) is crazy high pricing - I can buy a Toyota Hilux for that money so thay have a lot to live up to and it will be interesting to see if they sell - especially in this new economy!
I like the feature of the rear power windows and the selected air compared to having to open or close certain vents.The front bumper on the ultimate could go. Is there still storage underneath the the center front seat & drivers seat and and the rear ? Will the new 1500 be capable of putting larger tires on ? The roof has been a issue for leaking .... So did you guys improve that ? All in all it looks to be a nice rig and we will see the faults in it as people buy them and do custom builds on them.
I would love to be able to put this machine to the test via snow removal with a snowblower attachment up here in the Canadian British Columbia winters would be nice to add track a drag groomer for the trail that snowmobilers like to use as well as people with horses and or cross country skiing
I am wondering if there is a way to hookup a SiriusXM radio receiver to the ride command via an aux port or if there is any way to add an aux port to the ride command system. I currently have a 2019 Ranger XP 1000 Northstar Crew and current running a SiriusXM receiver through two portable speakers in the pocket in the lower dashboard pocket.

All good ideas. BUT people need to understand that's automotive level parts. Didn't subaru use a belt drive auto cvt and dump it for chain drive? Do to breakage? That transmission is not something I'll be fixing in my garage like my general. Power boost breaks are nice. But will need a break booster.. in other words this is a car. And mechanical repairs will be needed as such. At much greater cost than previous. But it's a nice looking platform
I'd buy one if it came with a manual transmission but they don't so doesn't make sense for me to buy one. Better off dropping $20,000 into a Ford Ranger to modify it into a work utility vehicle because at least it comes with a manual.

This is not a new thing for any product segment, make a low volume "halo" unit which then pulls up the pricing for all the lower units. A basic Ranger just grew in price without one improvement because its now compared to this monster.
Changing to automotive grade parts and an actual automatic transmission is what we have been screaming about for years. Now work on the ludicrous prices. I can buy a 3/4 ton crew cab pickup for what you are asking for a crew ranger. Really ? It’s a freaking toy.

Actually where I live many people make well over $100,000 a year working in the oil fields and these people buy expensive toys to go to their remote recreational cabins. They also buy $40-50 thousand dollar boats if their place is a long a river. Hell, I even had a plane in my early 30s. We would pay cash.

I have a 2017 ranger xp heated cab and it has did me well but as it ages it has it flaws like today I blew a belt
