That engine looks so good in there and the KeneBells look and sound killer! I had a 3.6 KB on my built 5.4 10gt500 840whp , now I have a Whipple 22GT I love the Whipple the most but miss the look and sound of the KB!
What exactly is "whipple territory"? What size whipple? A similar size whipple prob make similar power like they always have. The tvs will make similar power too
@@midnight347 Do you even watch the videos, are you just a troll, he had a ported tvs on there an it made 100 hp power less, everyone know a whipple is going to make more power usually, do you research.
lol when you slapped your hand on the 2.2 not thinking it would be that hot. lol, yes, im getting my terminator before the end of this year. where did you find that 2.2?
Ya know, I am 41 now and I have owned 77 different vehicles in my lifetime, but I have yet to own domestic muscle (yes I'm an American, but the first FnF came out whrn I was 18 and I got hooked on imports). My most powerful car was my 1997 Civic coupe that made 709 whp at 34-36 psi on a fully built LSVTEC engine that I assembled. Fastest time was 9.56 @ 155 MPH on 28" slicks. I also had a 1992 Plymouth Colt hatchback (Mitsubishi Mirage) that I built a stock internal 4G63t with a Garrett T04e (I don't remember.ember the exact specs) turbo that made 506 whp in an 1900 lb chassis that ran a best of 9.98 @ 151 MPH on an Eclipse GSX transmission.
Dude good shit! Good to see people doing proper import builds, much respect! As a Toyota/Lexus fanboy I've owned many different imports and domestics (my Heads Cam C6Z06 was reviewed by thatdudeinblue haha)! I had a bone stock Zinc Yellow 03 Cobra vert in 2011, and even as a stock car I vowed that later in life when I'm able to afford the spec I want I'll have another! And there's only 2 options for me. Turbos or this KB 2.2L blower! To me there's just no other right answer for a Terminator! I was super lucky and got that yellow one from an auction for $7500.....it had a boofed trans and like 120k miles on it, so after replacing the trans I was only into it for just under $10k lol, and sold it for $13k 6 months later.....ohhhh if I could go back in time smh
It ain't on pump. You think a stock terminator engine can go over 730 wheel w a 2.2 kb on 93? You gotta be joking lol. If it was on 93 it would prob be in the low 600 range like every other terminator.
As I'm looking to get into my first 03-04 cobra. Would i do KB 2.2 ? Yes , but that would only happen with a few things falling in place . The Cobra i pick up is stock, and the KB is sold cheaply and completely ready to install. Or it comes with it already. But this video is informative and nostalgic at the same time. Keep'm coming!
That's why they call the stock blower the HEATon. Should be a blast to drive that Cobra now. KBs are nice but I am a Whipple man. My Whipple 2.3 Gen 2 on 93 pump gas(18psi) makes in the 630 whp zone. No E85 by me.
These are not efficient it won't make consistent power on the street. It sounds cool but it's because it's super inefficient compared to modern blowers.
Bro andrew. It drives me crazy that your cobra emblems are backwards on the car lol sounds great though I gotta bring my car down next mustang week for you to tune it.
Would love to see a video comparing the IAT2 temperature numbers with the stock supercharger cooling system and then install VMP’s upgraded intercooler, flow tubes and upgraded intercooler pump. I bet it would make significant improvements in keeping the IAT2 temperatures cool
Be honest. Bang for your buck vs the vmp blower ? You might now be able to say. Always been a fan of these blowers. They have been dominating for years
A 2.3 tvs will smoke one of these on tq and overall curve and efficiency i.e. it won't lost 50 hp on back to back hits. If you think a 2.2 kb is better than a gen2r you're dreaming bro.
So violent man I still love these Cobras man the Yotes are badass but man a Cobra is just as bad and in its day and even now they still put the biotch smack dwn fellows …… geez
@@midnight347 u don't know , all blowers get hot , all of them, especially a little 2.2 , or 2.3 tvs, at 20psi that blower gets hot as a mfer, after a couple hits, hell the 2.3l tvs heat soaks after 2 hits at 10psi, with triple core and fans and water wetter,

They're super inefficient it's gonna lose power back to back street hits this was like dyno glory runs. A gen3r only lost like 5 hp on 3 back to back hits this thing in a real world scenario is gonna get beat by even a 2.3 tvs. 8 hp is alot to lose on back to back pulls it's gonna keep losing power like that it would be terrible for a road course setup it needs to be a drag race setup and some major cooling mods. It's cool but it's just not a good option these days there's better options. Unless you get a steal on it or all you care about is the sound lol.
How are you on E85 if you are running an 11.4afr at WOT. Thats SUPER DUPER MEGA lean. Your stoich for e85 should be 9.8-10 at IDLE. Then at WOT, you'd be safe at .82lambda which should be around 8.0 afr. Again assuming full E85 as you said. You are commanding pump gas wot AFR here. So not sure what you mean by car is on E85. It couldnt be with those AFR at wot.
Reading on gasoline scale. This would be .78 lambda target. We don’t need to read on a 9.8 scale. I actually prefer lambda on most tuning systems I run but ms3 and lambda don’t quite work right so I revert to using afr on gasoline scale
Everything is easier to understand in lambda. I also run this car on flex so the stoich is 14.7 but we are running a multiplier based on the ethanol percentage read at the sensor. The AFR targets are obviously converted to lambda in the background.
The content has been so good these last couple of months. Keep it up Andrew!

I LOVE those 4.6L 4 valve engines.
They all do the samething, the terminator was just the chosen one with forged internals.
Andrew’s knowledge of these Cobras is second to none, if I had one he’d be tuning it for sure, well I wish I had one lol.
Wow that's freaking amazing, you blew past my prediction of 711, with the KB 2.2 very impressive, your getting

If my budget allowed, id ship my 03 down for minor work and a 2.2 swap 😅

Buy a terminator! Sure there are many better cars, but this restarted the horsepower wars.

Of all my cars i kiss my 95 Talon the most. That awd launch and the 4g63 was so fun. It only ran a 11.9 but it was surprising to a lot.
They make a plate for them for better belt grip.. my Ole 2 valve had it and I could get 28psi on a new belt for a few passes...
That’s awesome!!! Can’t wait to get mine going!!!
Run a killer chiller like to see the results

Could you potentially port that 2.2 blower?

I had one on my 98 gt. Sadly, I sold it last year, and I regret it all the time.
That’s about what I figured it would end up making. Bout 800-820 is what I was guessing at the crank
Nobody cares what it does at the crank car guys care about track times and rear wheel dyno numbers.
2.2 is probly spinning 21000rpm at 19 psi, moving some air
20150rpm at 6500rpm with the 2.9/6lb combo.
Add and interchiller

Hey Andrew, just curious what wheels are on your cobra? They look great.
Forgestar D5. Send me a message if you need a set I can get you the right spec

Yes 69% ethanol showing
What type of electric power steering? I'd like that for my 04', get rid of some parasitic lost. Do you have a link??
Volvo s40 pump
It isn’t a kit. You will need to build it yourself from a used pump
Can it mount where the stock PS pump was? Do you know how much of a belt length change is needed?
This is on 93? Or E? I missed that part.
E85
@@MustangLifestyleTVWhat do you think it would do on 93?
@@TheModAddictabout the same as most blowers for the terminator 600 or so give or take depending on other mods like headers, exhaust, tbody etc.

Not
If you can get one for 2-3k not a bad option. But that’s rare. VMP 2.3 for example makes similar numbers with similar boost on a stock engine
