  • Electric cars are gradually gaining acceptance among the general public ahead of a ban on the sale of all new petrol- and diesel-engined cars by 2030, although we all know that there is a long way to go before they're a viable mode of transport for everyone.
What are your major concerns about the future of mobility? Is it the inability of current lithium-ion batteries to deliver the range that you require? What about concern for the planet? For instance, is there a more environmentally-friendly battery just around the corner?
Paul Hudson and Vicky Parrott answer your questions during the webinar, helping to tackle electric car issues that are concerning you.

The issues are that also there was a report done by Volvo.
And for me to make an electric car of set it's pollution to make I would have to do 100,000 miles of driving I'm actually been more green by having a petrol car due to the way I drive and the roads I use.
It would take me 10+ years to do the 100000 miles so by keeping a petrol car I'm actually been more green than alot of people.

Say clearly what the benefit is of an EV. A petrol vehicle has zero downsides compared to EV. You want to talk about how much you save over 10+ years of charging while ignoring how long it would take for petrol vehicles to make any effect on literally anything. People think their life is the end of the world

Talking about Home Charging and Smart Meters... I think there may have been confusion as to Smart Chargers being compulsory. Not the Meters.
