      Honest, most changes are very good.
      Eruptor was killing Scout walkers with a face shot, you know that needs to be patched.
      MANY Rifles that weren't good, are now VERY ok to try.
      Q.Cannon nerf on harsh side, but like the Railgun they might rebuff later.
      Feels ok, the armor changes also good.
      Don't be such a drama queen.

      Was going to try the game this summer, don't plan to now because anytime these companies head down nerf paths and making games more like work, it usually never turns back the other way. I don't need another job.

      Wrong, they screwed up the game for alot of people. Solo is impossible now cause of all the patrols and the extraction spawns are rediculous. Can't get pink samples on anything less than lvl 7 so its pointless to play for me unless I get 3 people on HD2 at the same time. Playin with randos sucks too, so I guess I'll shelf the game or play on lvl 4 so it doesnt piss me off with all the new patch horseshit.

    I love that they "fixed" the ricochet mechanic before they properly aligned the sights. They fixed the consequences of aiming poorly before the ability to aim properly.

      Yes and no, reloading is faster than waiting for the heat sink to cool down, i rarely reload more than once or twice a mission but still they reduce usability for no real reason.

      @@Nartanekit makes sense if you think about it, now you have to manage ammo and properly decide if the quicker reload is worth spending a mag, before it was never an issue but now that decision will add a bit of decision making to load outs which I’m all for, notice that they never nerfed the gun itself, so it’s “usability” is still the same that it always was

      @@Nartanekit’s not no real reason though. It was an objective upgrade to the liberator in every way and had no downsides whatsoever. If the weapon theoretically has unlimited ammo, it should have less magazines to balance it out.

      @@thesaucyprophesy2939 They should buff the liberator then, as they did. Or nerf the damage of the sickle. I agree the assault rifles are all irrelevant because of the sickle but arrowhead seems to have no idea how to balance the weapons. An infinite ammo gun should deal less damage to compensate, such as the scythe, they buffed it also but i'm not sure yet if it's good or not now. Reducing quality of life is a bad way to go around the problem in my oipinion. Just like the quasar, i don't think it actually needed a nerf at all. It's a sidegrade to the EAT and recoiless, you gain convenience in exchange for less potential. The recoiless can shoot much faster if reloaded by a friend and the EAT you have to call down before use.
      The only category i think they nailed the issue is sidearms, for the longest time the redeemer was the only good option but now the peacekeeper deals more damage per shot and the senator got some quality of life added to it.

    I agree with 90% of the changes. It’s the increased volume of enemies. I’m just trying to have fun after work. Not work after work

      They made it so that with 1/4 of the players you get 1/4 of the enemies. Isn't that more balanced now?

      @@gremblebean More balanced for what? 4 player was the easiest mode before. So they made the harder modes harder and left the easiest mode alone. This is the opposite of balance.

      @@ElBandito I hear you. It's possible to find good random squads though, particularly at higher levels. I've both carried and been carried in games. Sometimes my playing is a mess, sometimes it works. When a squad is always engaging I get on the mic and tell people not too. Usually works.

    The most puzzling choice was their desire to make enemy patrol spawning fully linear instead of scaling with players. 2 players is more than just double the power level because you work together to make up for your weaknesses (aka bringing crowd clear while buddy brings AT). No one who has played the game thinks that 4 player lobbies are harder than solo or duo's and their desire to nerf solo play into the ground is a little puzzling.

    While I'm a bit annoyed by some of the Nerfs (imo most nerfs are bs.anyways), what really annoys me are the bullet ricochet, which makes absolutely no sense and is, imo, total bull, and the fact that they STILL havent fixed arc weapons, the spear, AND the problem with strategem targeting.

      Devs made a fun mainstream game by accident. Now are deciding to do what they know best make a little niche for dorks and try hards not people who go to work daily and have a functional life outside of a gaming system. The next apex legends or something of a similar niche target audience. Literally a 7/10 everyone is flipping their shit over it like it’s the next gta.

      Especially the part where they are catering to try hards I posted a suggestion about having personal orders line up with major orders since I got a bug personal during a bot major but I work so don’t have much time and I like helping out with the major order which makes a personal order where I have to go fight bugs for 40mins a bit frustrating but the redditors call me trash and just wanting rewards for logging in so I ended up deleting the post since everyone was just being dicks

      Its not that a big of a deal, its more fun if you and your friends like shooting anything that moves or alternatively, if you wanna finish objectives then just add a bit of stealth and retreat and regroup strat.

      LEARN TO READ AT A 3RD GRADE LEVEL, PEOPLE. SOLO SPAWNS HAVE NEVER BEEN WORKING AS INTENDED. 1/4 of the players now get 1/4 of the spawns instead of 1/6. The spawns were bugged and were fixed with this patch 😂

      @@loganberkheimer1857 Who says that 1/4 was supposed to be the original number? Divine game-making gods? Super Earth and the Ministry of Truth? They could come out tomorrow and say that "Actually the chances of finding Super Credits acquired during missions was supposed to be even rarer, thankfully we fixed this and now Super Credits should be much rarer now." And people like you would believe them. Sometimes devs need to go against their original vision for a game if a change will make it better. This is 110% one of those instances where the original "bug" was better than what the devs originally had in mind.

    I saw the Quasar nerf coming a mile away. The thing was WAY to versatile a weapon and bringing 4 of them into a Bot mission all but guaranteed that the bot drop ships would never get their troops on the ground. As for the Sickle I don't think that's gonna hurt it. As long as you manage the heat efficiently you're still never gonna run out of ammo

      Exactly and its mostly youtubers complaining. Quasar doesn't take a vital backpack slot, it has infinite ammo and could be reshot again every 10 seconds. Made the Recoiless Rifle useless overnight which it shouldn't have.
      Giving it a longer recharge time was perfect too considering the alternative was making it weaker and then that would have been useless too. Id like Recoiless/Quasar/EAT's to all be viable options and im sure the devs are aiming for that too.

      @@RichSmithson What's the point in making the quasar worse, is the recoiless viable now? Eat is in a good spot and I bring it with the quasar for backup or faster AT shots (or objectives). The recoiless is just down right pointless. That has nothing to do with the Quasar. At this point, i rather just bring the EATs and any other airstrikes/orbitals.

      Recoilless rifle = good all round at killing heavies, with a loader you can annihilate any heavy that you see.
      Expendable Anti-Tank (EATs) = good for if you want to kill heavies but don’t want to commit to carrying a backpack and launcher at all times. This allows you to use another support weapon and if you want to use another pack like supplies or guard dog.
      Quasar cannon (pre nerf) = literally better than RR and EATs, shoot every 10 seconds, infinite ammo.
      Quasar cannon (post nerf) = as good as EATs except you need to commit to the shot and actually aim well, you are punished for missing but rewarded for hitting, infinite ammo. Perfectly balanced now.

    Bug breaches seemed to have been buffed massively. Even with a full squad. Like Lvl 7 was getting at least 2 chargers, a bile Titan and horde of smaller units. Was spending more time trying to avoid these than doing the mission and we were constantly moving around.

    The bias toward player disadvantage just keeps winding tighter and tighter around our necks.
    "Oh *this* is how spawns were meant to be"
    "Oh ricochets were supposed to kill you more"
    "Devastators are supposed to kill you faster"
    "Scout striders are supposed to be tankier"
    "There was actually supposed to be more of such and such annoying enemy type"
    "These weapons we designed and released were actually meant to be worse and the bad ones only marginally better"
    All the bullshit they sell us propped up with post hoc rationalization about their vision for the game. When it's really just moving the goal posts and alienating players.

      Ricochets are always meant to damage whatever they hit, it's a bug if they don't do that.
      Devastators don't kill you in one missile anymore, a change that came 2 weeks ago, forgot about that?

    New Ship Module added to do 25% more fire damage. But also they're reducing all fire damage by 15%. Now the ship module does only 10% more damage... like- wth man..

      That's not how that works lol, it STILL raises your Fire DMG by 25%. If you don't have it you are leaving the full 25% dmg on the table

      Flamethrower got a 50% buff, that's the first fire damage.
      Then it was the Fire damage per tick or Damage over time by 30%.
      Then they added a 25% damage buff for fire if you have the module.
      So out of all of these, what exactly did they reduced?
      It's not the ship module my guy, it's the damage over time.
      It was 30% before, *Now* it is 15% damage per tick or damage over time.
      Therefore, reducing the fact that fire kills you by merely touching your cape, or the fact flame hulks instakill you with a touch. They made it where it doesn't kill you as fast as it used to be anymore, making this a HUGE PLUS for everyone, as I'm not dying as quickly anymore.
      But because I have the ship module, plus the flame thrower damage for fire, it's a 75% increase, which still maintains the direct fire damage, while damage over time is the only thing that is reduced. It's still very good, just wished they fixed the DoT bug sooner

      @@mitzuriki hulks are already too easy, it’s the devastators that make life harder. Flame hulks are the only hulks that cause some chaos, and railgun takes them out in one hit 😭

      They are trying to properly balance the game in a way that makes it fun to play the game and not play the meta, if you don’t like it then stick to CoD.
      The only complaint I have is gunships respawn time.

      @@MikePainstill That is an impossible goal. META is simply the "Most Effective Tactic Available". If you nerf x, y will replace it because y is now the most effective. And when you nerf y, z will replace it. Even if you DIDN'T nerf anything, and instead only buffed things, something will always become the Most Effective Tactic Available. Even in Chess there's a META. Why does Magnus Carlsen use Ruy Lopez, Berlin Defense so much? It's because right now it is the Most Effective Tactic Available.
      Also, what's fun for you isn't fun for another person. You like to use everything you have, while another person might like to use mathematics to determine the best gear or best map. "A game for everyone is a game for no one" will eventually become "A game that abandons it's players will be abandoned by all".

    I've kinda dropped off. Last couple weeks I would log in, and just sit at the mission screen, thumb just hovering over the matchmake button...and I just can't. Not sure how much longer I'm even gonna do that.

      I've just been doing difficulty 2-5 missions for the daily personal order and losing steam on that, too. My friends don't want to play because of the crashes and DC's. I don't like hosting with randos who keep pulling every patrol, and conversely am paranoid of joining with randos who might kick me at extract.

      I've played almost everyday to do at least the daily, but this past weekend I didn't even want to do that because it's beginning to feel like a chore. Today I logged in and played a few missions since i was excited about the patch "fixing" things, but seeing the weapons that i enjoy playing with getting nerfed once again, and running into new game bugs stifled my enjoyment.

      Fr, I main that gun mainly because it's a cool laser rifle with the fire rate of an M16A1. And even on lvl6-7 missions where I've died about 1 or 2 times I probably at most use about 2 ICE mags against bots. I'm a casual who spends maybe a couple hours a day on Helldivers and so far every patch nerf feels hardly noticeable. The game is difficult, as it should be. If they don't wanna struggle they should hop on a lvl3-4 mission.

      ​@@soldat88hun People always hated nerfs but it's a necessary decision. Nobody would make hard decisions to balance game in order to bring it in line with everything. If a player like yourself is a dev and would want all buffs and no nerfs, but buff all and then nerf all those who are too good, it'll invite power creep, and it'll make balancing much harder and unhealthy in a long run. Hence why I'm glad gamers are not devs themselves.

    so, when players are close together, spawns are treated as if there is only 1 player. So, all party sizes will notice this (if they play close together). Just blatantly no QA testing done. Spawns were fine imo, now its endless patrol spawns on top of each other

    I only have 1 friend to play with and the really annoying bugs for my type of gameplay aka fire still have not been fixed.
    I will take a beak until they reverse the patrol thing and fixed the host bugs.
    I mean we get punished because we don't want to play with unknown people to have fun with our friends. Not everyone can have a full 4-man squad to play with.
    At this point I think they just don't like when people are having fun. I thought "A game for everyone is a game for no one" was a pretty cool phrase but now I get what it really means for them.
    And I don't even car about the nerfs I'm just talking about they way they think.
    It seems they just want to create frustration with every changes.
    Also about the nerfs the problem is pretty simple. They're this kind of dev I hate that CANNOT understand that if people only use the same loadouts It's often not because this loadout is OP but because everything else is subpar by a LONGSHOT even sometimes borderline unplayable (YES I AM LOOKING AT YOU SPEAR.).
    I hate this type of thinking. Again, creating more frustration.

      Not that big of a deal. Almost every single weapon and stratagem is viable in their own way. The ones everyone uses are used because they are viable for too many situations. These nerfs aren’t bad, just tweaks to balance things out. Trust the process, they know what they are doing.

      Here's my problem with this game. I can't play it the way I want to play it. I can't use the stratagems that I want to use. I can't use the weapons that I want to use, nor can I wear the armor that I want to wear because most of them are either glitched in some way or not viable the majority of the time.
      We only get 3 or 4 stratagems to use each mission, and their uses are limited, so we have no choice except to use the things that will give us the best chance for success. Otherwise you end up spending the entire mission getting annihilated by the mobs, and it's not fun having your entire team of randoms eat through almost the entire reenforcement budget in the first 10 minutes only for you to not even finish the objective after spending 20+ minutes trying to survive. It's also not fun to get killed by your own teammate at extraction and lose your samples, or to just crash for no reason and lose all of your progress.
      They clearly don't know what they're doing because the player count is dropping and a lot of the remaining players are unhappy. How long do you think the game will last if they keep losing players.

      A game for everyone is a game for no one is such dumb logic.
      The people who bought the game are the people who the game is for. When I first started I would log in and see 800,000 current players. There used to be queues to try and log in. The other day I logged in there were only 60,000 players online. I couldn't even get a party on the planet I wanted to play. It just kept trying to connect until I gave up and switched to another planet. I thought this game would be the next cod, but apparently it's the next medal of honor.

      im in the same boat usually its me and one friend sometimes his brother hops on with us but for the majority its me and my friend. we played yesterday on challenging difficulty to see how bad the patrols were 1 min after landing there were no bugs around us then all of a sudden we were surrounded by 4 patrols and they all did a bug breach so now we have multiple chargers i use recoiless rifle my friend was testing out the quasar cannon and we couldnt deal with all the chargers and hunters so we ran and did the quest only got a few samples. my friend suggested lets see suicide mission (we normally play on difficulty 6 or 7 depending on what we need) it was unplayable railgun doesnt do any damage to titans the recoiless rifle is the same multiple head shots we got hit by 7 patrols at once all bug breaching giving us 4 chargers and 3 titans its unplayable and now we offically quit until its fixed. i already have the plat and over 400 hrs its time to move on from this game

    the only dumb change was the nerf of solo play, because they are trying to counter couple of bozos abusing it and nerfing 99% of the casual solo players. the rest is cool, people will find another META build in the next 2 days and keep grinding.

      There was no nerf to solo play, learn to do maths my guy. Patrols were bugged. 4 player squads received 1/4 patrols per player, solo squads had 1/6, why? Now it's always the number of players, 2 players get 2 patrols, one gets one, three get 3.

      Depends on the efficiency of the person. That 1/6 to 1/4 is a %50 increase which is a lot especially on certain planets when you are down a strategem. It’s completely doable but it isn’t fun.

      ​@@pupartheimperfection It depends on the severity of the diff and how often you stumble upon patrols. I play low diff myself and only encounter more because I either stumble upon them or find them on certain spots, and once I do, and you start letting bullets and bombs fly, you'll attract others near the vicinity because of the way sound works in this game.

    The funniest part about the QCannon's nerf is that recharge icon showing when you can make your next shot is even MORE inaccurate now. Didn't really have accurate timing before, but now it's even worse. I feel like a lot of this shows AH's developer philosophy of "balance changes" > stability and bug fixes. (Still getting launched under the map by Chargers)

    That 5 sec nerf was a bit overkill tbh. It was due some reign in, but 5 extra sec cd is just too rough. The other stuff is all a toss up, some stuff got better some got worse, nothing to cry to mom about. Imo the biggest deal in this patch is the Railgun finally got some consistency back.

      ​@@phanueluy7670 True, until it gets adjusted to where it is balanced, multiple people can just bring a quasar and coordinate accordingly. E.G. if done right, for a flame hulk, one guy can use his quasar to destroy the flame thrower arm, rendering that hulk a lot more useless then another guy with a quasar can shoot any one of the flame hulk's legs and it will die. So far, that's been the easiest the way I've found to kill a hulk.

    Needing isn’t exactly a bad thing as it helps to test the waters on balance changes, people used the sickle more than the scythe to they changed the formula so that it won’t be a “one-sided answer”. Same case with the quasar and recoilless, I personally thought the cooldown for the quasar was too quick for it to be reasonably comparable.

    Let's take a second to review why the Quasar Cannon was good:
    1. The Railgun was nerfed
    2. Heavies spawn like crazy at levels 8-9
    3. You could pair it with the shields, which are almost necessary at 8-9
    4. It doesn't require teammates. Not everyone plays with a team of 4 and can have everyone coordinate their loadouts to the T
    5. The Orbitals/Eagles/Sentries simply aren't plentiful/good enough enough at 8-9
    If they're going to go down this route of nerfing weapons into the ground because they are a necessity due to the sheer number of heavy enemies, they need to change the loadout system. We need to be able to take in a weapon like the Quasar, Railgun, etc. in the loadout with the primary and secondary weapons, freeing up another slot for Orbitals or Eagles. I highly doubt they'll do this, so this is probably me done with the game.
    I haven't installed Dragon's Dogma 2 because I've been playing Helldivers, but it seems like the time has come to finally do so. It was a good run, I guess. Pretty pitiful to say two months on a multiplayer game is a good run, but the gaming industry is what it is these days.

      I do understand your points but the summary doesn't make sense. Not to offend you personally but the argument that you cannot play the game anymore because they nerfed a certain weapon is just dumb.
      - First of all, the gameplay is still the same. One weapon will just be used less now, but that's all.
      - Second, the game gives you 9 levels to choose from. No one tells you to always pick the highest difficulty and then complain that it's not fun.
      - Third, you can play both Dragon's Dogma 2 and Helldivers 2. Even if you don't have too much time, you can just play a bit of this and a bit of this. What matters is that you can enjoy it.
      Overall, I'm obviously not the one to tell you whether you should quit the game or not. It's your choice, but my point is that the game did not loose any fun aspect that it had. Couple of nerfs shouldn't stop you from playing it.

      The railgun is pretty solid against hulks and tanks, why don't you take it now that it charges even faster?
      You just need an excuse to shit at the game.
      QCannon was better than EATs, removing the need for taking EATs and recoilless at all, now it feels okay to have something with infinite ammo just going on a 5 second longer cooldown.
      All eagles, orbitals, and sentries aren't good enough? Gtfo and play DD2.

    The blitzer shotgun and senator pistol got the love they deserved, that made my gameplay more fun now. As a solo player, I accepted the challenge of increased patrol spawns, more kills for me. I now farm 1k+ kills per a mission, thanks Arrowhead! Edit: this is from a 540 hours helldiver, so all maxed out on everything, nothing to do but farm kills.

      I get it, I've seen it plenty this and last balance patch. I get why people are mad, I just also feel like there's a hyperfixation on nerfs, and not enough appreciation for buffs. IMHO, I think they're doing a mostly fine job with balance patches. A few questionable quibbles here and there, but it just encourages me to experiment more. Coming from a game like Remnant 2 and seeing their balancing, ideology like this isn't all that new. But hey, to each their own. Thanks for the video regardless!

      People hate when things change. Whatever, I don’t really mind it much. It was annoying that it felt like I never had to adapt or change my game style, I hope eventually pretty much any load out becomes viable, I don’t mind that the game is hard. People were always going to stop playing anyways… who knows? Maybe this is only the beginning and later on when they add more stuff the changes will make sense!

    The increase on the q cannon isnt that bad either, it was bound to happen.
    The nerf to the guard dog rover isnt that bad either...still viable vs bugs.

      I think it's because the rover uses a Scythe, and the Scythe itself got a buff, just like the liberator (and the regular guard dog also uses a liberator which also got buffed), so they probably nerfed the rover damage since the scythe itself got buff, which indirectly gave it a buff, but also balanced it enough where it just doesn't solos the brood commanders and other enemy types. It still ain't that bad so I'm sure it's S tier for everyone. But I think what makes it S tier is the bug that makes it shoot forever without cooling down at all, which makes it superior compared to the Guard Dog Lib

    Surprisingly not getting disconnected constantly. Usually after every major patch I kind of get effed for a few days. The one bug that's still sucks for me is the spear doesn't lock on properly. It just takes forever or just won't do it. Which sucks because I've been rocking it lately and this patch is kind of made it worse for the lock-on issue. The sphere is super fun cuz if you line it up correctly a charger or a bio tighten you can one hit a no problem. And after they fix the ammo issues with it and the new shit module giving you more ammo per box you don't have an ammo issue anymore with the spear

    What they should have done is keep everything the way it was. Buff a few weapons here and there and even increase the range of the weapons.
    Lengthen the stratagem recharge time forcing players to use them sparingly and wisely. This will not only make you rethink to drop a 5k bomb on a small enemy patrol but then 2 hulks and a tank appear from drop ship.
    Make finding ammo harder forcing players to explore the map more detailed. Sharing ammo of course would be a cool option. With low ammo count being more sneaky in some parts and setting up ambushes rather than continuously going guns blazing. This also diversifies class by armor type. Light armor is the most sneaky, medium is jack of all trades, heavy is well a wall of steel.
    Make enemy patrols increase as more players and difficulty increases. Overall the game needs to balance fear and relief or the feeling of being overwhelmed but then an eagle comes and neutralizes more than half the enemy element. Giving you breathing room and a quick decision to A break contact or B finish the fight. Situation dictates obviously.

    Agree, Arrowhead really need to rethink how they approach balance.
    Also, buffing sniper, but buffing spawn rate is just bad. It means that those single target weapon is going to be even more obsolete than ever, despite the buffs.

    They can just use the nerf or buff tied to ingame event or story, a live service thing, atleast thats some real world testing.
    Supply issues means low/high ammo distribution for some weapons, workers strike back at super earth means drop in quality etc. Keeping to narration makes the game feels dynamic.

    Honestly, some of the nerfs (Eruptor nerf was a tragedy, it was just fine) werent great, but I think they are getting better with balancing this game over time, the senator feels great, the adjustments to laser weapons and the arc 12 are nice.
    And some of the nerfs were reasonable, the quasar cannon is less domineering of the AT category without its base power being ruined. the sickle is super powerful still at the expense of needing to depend on the overheat mechanic more, I feel like I dont use it as a more powerful AR anymore.
    Honestly in a few months I could see arrowhead getting their grip and the game will be *Even more amazing*.
    Not a guarantee but it feels reasonable.
    I just hope they adjust some of the turrets/orbital strikes, the MG turret and strafing run have direct upgrades in the Gatling turrent and eagle cluster. (MG turret could have 2 out at one, strafing run could be a laser strafe that the eagle can use infinitely but on a 30S cooldown instead of a 15S one.

      It is not a nerf dude, its a buff, it will take 1.5 seconds to kill you now instead of 1. And as for its purpose its still fine, frying scavengers, shriekers and hunters instead of in 0.3 secs now in 0.4s. Delete the hiveguards with your support weapon or grenades, so it doesnt get stuck firing at them, and its a literal buff to the doggo.

      Had a great time taking rover out with newly tweaked scythe + laser cannon. Everything is better with lasers. It always feels alittle obscene breaking top kills by just taking rover. It still pulls its weight dont you fret.

    I'm not clear on what exactly we are supposed to use against armored opponents now. All the weapons are ineffective so you HAVE to use EAT or a strat since the quasar is now out as an option.

      Quasar, EAT, Recoiless, Autocannon, Railgun, AMR, HMG, Laser Cannon, 500kg, Railgun Strike, 110 rocket pods, Precision Strike, Orbital laser, Dominator/Slugger/Erupter in a pinch, all work just fine. Quasar wasn't the most effective for any job/enemy, it was just the one you always had (And still always do)

You summed it all up exactly how we all feel. we play a lot in 2 and 3 person groups; dont always have 4 and bringing in that 4th rando is not something we like doing as we are all on discord and that person just messes things up. this change likely means we just stop playing HD2 as much.....the exact opposite thing youd think Arrowhead wants

    I got real worried when i Heard they where nerfing the sickle and quasar but thats nothing, the people who are mad just dont know how to pace themself or control their fire rate and or itchy trigger finger, all this means is now i have to think before i quasar, and as for the sickle, i cant remember the last time i let it over heat more then twice in a game outside of a heat planet and even then it overheats twice then i find an ammo pack and im back to full

    There are a lot of changes to weapons that no one used, many of which are just nerf, seriously, the only good change is the Senator, my absolute favourite secondary weapon that I never changed, the rest there are some buffs that are almost completely useless, like the increase in damage to the normal guard dog, that little increase in damage doesn't change anything

    Im so stoked for the senator buff! I hated the slow reloads. Overall it seems they are bringing some of the must take items down a peg and the never take items up. Their goal is to make everything viable, and hinestly they are doing a pretty good job of it. Look at how diverse load outs are these days xompared to thr begining!

    I think it's great that they balance and change the weapons, strats etc. constantly. Keeps the game more interesting, because there will be no permanent 'meta' weapons or builds - it adds variety. Otherwise I'd be still playing with SG-225 and Railgun. The Sony thing I get, but otherwise I don't agree that they'd drive out non-hc players by doing what they do =).

    Completely agree. Arrowhead are not balancing, they are just making most played weapons worse but not making the completely useless weapons more viable, (buffs). If keeps going this direction, in the next patch, there''' be no players wanting to play the game. It should be a fun game to play with others and remain this way at its essence.

    You could literally fire the guy making nerfs and only add buffs to player weapons and the game would only gain players. Instead they are trying to remove casuals who play to enjoy the game so only loyal Helldivers suck 1 players are left. There is a reason no one has ever heard of Helldivers 1. Using the same guiding balance principles from a top down indie game does not apply to a third person shooter.

    Nerfing in a PvE makes no sense so what if everone is using the same loadout if they have fun use the same loadout let them. If Arrowhead continues down this path the player base is going to drop i say let ppl have fun. Besides almost all the guns in helldiver suck thats why everyone is using the same loadout bc theres not much to choose from

      Letting people have unlimited freedom has been proven from time and time again that it will never stand the test of time.
      Prime example is doom 2016 vs doom eternal.
      Doom 2016 was basically let's make every weapon great (most of the player base thus began to use super shotgun until the end).
      Then look at doom eternal. They nerfed the crap out of ammo and now it's regarded as the most skill based FPS in the industry.
      The logic that the devs should just buff everything doesn't make sense because if everything is good then nothing is good. Screw team work, team balancing, communication, coordination right. Just Rambo everything

    I have never used more than 3 things of ammo with my sickle ever! And it has been my primary weapon for a month. And it can shot through bushes now!

    And I've noticed peak player count went down. It used to be about 240K on average when I would get on see peak and even on load times it's still be around 180k 200K. The last two days during peak I've seen it around 180K to 200k. This patch really pissed off a lot of people and it's understandable. I liked what they did with a lot of it but at the same time they want a little overboard with the ammo decrease. And I think it is pretty fucked to punish solo players and small groups. They do need to balance guns but balance the ones that are underperforming before you start balancing the ones that are over performing. Because guess what we're using those weapons that are overperforming because everything else sucks

    This has to be one of the most low IQ takes I’ve heard on the patch.
    More guns are now viable, team play is encouraged and harder game modes are not for everyone. All makes sense.
    They will need to further fine tune the balance and bring is some dmg buffs for support weapons, but they are certainly not alienating players… god forbid if Helldiver difficulty is actually a challenge.

      The ricochet system was simply not working correctly.

    the changes to the Eruptor don't really bother me. the reduced number of mags hasn't bothered me so far as I have never dropped to below 6 while using it that I have noticed and there are plenty of stray ammo boxes to be found. As for the explosion damage fall off, that just means I die less from misjudging the distance to a closing enemy lol. I do Find it odd that the devs are nerfing popular weapons considering that some (not all) Popular weapons aren't even close to the most powerful or considered the 'best'... I do hope they get their act together...

    Well said, everything I get used to a new primary Eruptor and a new support weapon cannon and railgun, they nerf it, and force me to use something else when I was having fun using what I was using. Now. I have to figure something else out which isn't fun

      @@helix4267 Not exactly. You become effective when you understand completely how a weapon behaves. If it keeps on changing behaviour, you will end up in a loop testing the weapons after every update.
      Also, weapons should either remain the same or improve with scientific innovation. Super earth probably has a sinister science team which spends time and resources on decreasing the effectiveness of existing weapons.
      They should bring new enemies, not degrade existing weapons, to keep it challenging.

    The balancing patch wasn't bad The erupter getting its ammo cut down to six is a bit much I think they should have kept it at 8 or 10 like they did a lot of other guns The explosion fall off barely noticeable. The quasar understandable the railgun was nice The machine pistol You can't tell the difference The revolver great balance now with the speed loader. The bot buff I didn't think was necessary The ricochet is not an issue it's only according to small arms fire and the explosion back last you're getting is a glitch with the erupter where the shrapnel is hitting back at you no matter the distance

    They keep this up I won’t be surprised the guns will all have 20 damage, 1 mag and cooldowns for 1 min! All that with buffed enemies, 100 patrol, deadlock shooting from automatons and 1000 rocket rain downs and buffed bile titans! 😂 They’re killing the fun outta this game.

      If you walk over to the left of where you spawn after a mission, you’ll find an area that allows you to unlock *Other Weapons*

      Liberator, adjudicator, diligence, diligence counter sniper, railgun, revolver, semi auto pistol, laser cannon, liberator concussive, got straight buffs, several others got buffs with slight nerfs.
      You're probably butthurt about 5 seconds of cool down on a weapon with no backpack and unlimited ammo, or less magazines on a weapon not meant to reload with unlimited ammo, neither is even noticable in use, while all the massive buffs are certainly noticable

    I am ok with any changes tbh and i quite like it overall.
    If they nerf one weapon I jump to the next one and so on. It makes the game more interesting and I think it could be implemented into the game too.
    Something like game major order - Bots attacked the factory for our energy weapons which resulted in the shortage - Helldivers are not able to use any energy weapons until Major order is completed.
    Same could be for other stuff like no parts for sentries resulting in longer sentry cooldowns.
    I am not saying that constant nerfs is a good thing but it makes me try new ways to play instead of just using the same stuff all the time.

    Most of the changes are completely fine. Excited to try out the Senator speed loader and buffed peacemaker alongside the 50% faster Blitzer as well. Railgun also got buffed but I guess people just wanna whine a bunch

    I do think the biggest fuck you though is the increased enemies with less players. That's punishing people that don't like to play with a full group or just like to play with a one or two friends or by themselves. That and a bots did not need to be buffed.. I see a lot of people saying they're done playing because they only play with one friend or by themselves because of these exact reasons.

    I haven't been playing long and I'm only level 7. I can't really speak to a lot of these nerfs/buffs, but the increase to patrols is dumb af. Sometimes it's only me and my gf playing, and this feels like a punishment for having less than 4 players (although even if you do have 4 players, that's doesn't guarantee they know what they're doing, or will follow "orders").
    So far, we've been having fun over all, but if it turns out that we fail more often because of the increased patrols, we might have to find a new game to play together.

    The game is pretty much trash now. Of course this is my opinion but after 300+ hours playing it this patch messed up too much stuff! I think they’re trying to balance things to slow everybody down from advancing too much. I played 13 missions today on lvl 9 and we (squad of 4) hardly extracted any samples. That’s if we were lucky enough to extract. The mobs of enemy spawns on extraction is literally insane now. I know they didn’t mention they increased it but it sure seems like it.

      Ive definitely noticed this as well im lvl 100 and the extraction on bug missions cant be done by a solo player as easily as it used to in the past and if its just 2 helldivers the spawns are ridiculous
