I used the cemetery as a backdrop to reinforce the message of choosing life because I've lost too many of my friends to addiction and suicide whether self inflicted or accidental, the specific person I wrote the song for that I consider my brother is alive and well today but the struggle and message is pretty universal for anyone that's dealt with substance abuse, thanks for the review!
Hey Grayson Brilliant song man I felt that song as I lost some very important friends and family these last couple of years and also I’ve been able to stop drinking as that was leading me down a very dark road keep up the great work man looking forward to hearing more of your music
This cemetery is right down the street from my house. Jonathan Kelly is my 5 times great grandfather. It is right down the street from where Greyson and I live. And no one has been buried in it lately. It is located in Closplint, Harlan County, KY.
We have all lost someone we felt we could have done more for. Sometimes it's just us that need to hear the words of this song. Every dark day I have I find myself listening to this....I could use a brother today.
“Pack up everything that you own, I just don’t want to have to hear that you’re gone.“ He’s saying he will go through the winter 500 miles to save you and you won’t be alone, but please hang on because he doesn’t want you to be gone. That’s why he’s singing in the cemetery because his friend didn’t pick up the phone and is now dead.
Greyson june is my cousin. im a first cousin. im a dj but he has voice. poluydor said no, image issiue. he is the most profound singer in this world. he needs to be represented. i will say a few things about his master track. a touch reverb, less bass and compress the guitar. he is my cousin. i fight for him and Tracy chapman must advovcate
Buddy come on you know brother is reference to a friend. He's talking about putting himself out there for a friend in the midst of his own turmoil to uplift someone who could be on the brink of calamity.
This genre has now become cliche and annoying in less than a year. If i see another guy sitting in the woods 20ft from his back door in just gonna skip. Its literally all the same Edit: i have no problem with the music, it's great. But just be creative in the way you show the world.
