If a song can bring a smile to your face or a tear to your eyes, then the writer and singer have done their job to leave a lasting memory in your soul you will always remember.
I can listen to this song over and over again... and have.... it's just beautiful... especially because it's a true story of Ronnie's life... Chills every time.
“Finding more and more truth in the words written in red”.... love these lyrics as the words written in red refer to the actual words spoken by Jesus Christ in the Bible. Beautiful song indeed
I could tell you could see things beyond racism, and the future could be different!!! Don’t let go of that understanding! God bless you and all of us!!!!!!!
This song came along when my faith was kind of Shakey( the losses at 72 ytrs old) So thought of my Mom and her rock solid belief . We list her in 2006 when she was 95, my brother 64 and me 55 . Missed having her company and faith boosters, as portrayed by the song! ❤ Thanks for sensitive reaction
What's your source for this? I'm currently in the process of trying to find any information about it being a true story, but am yet to find anything. The only thing I've been able to find is other people like you just stating that it's true, but again, no official sources. It makes me wonder if people are just saying it's a true story because they heard someone else say it is.
They were a Country duo back in the day but this was a Soul song that Ronnie Dunn wanted to do himself because of the impact it had in his real life both as a kid and an adult.
Whats not to love ? And Ronnie tells the story of his childhood and the releationship with this old man like no other. He shares his faith in God. Don't worry son. I'll be back home with my family soon. Promisses from my lord above . See you there.
Thank you for your reaction to I Believe. Its really something to see that a young person as yourself was so touched by this song. I cry when I hear this song and I've heard it several times. Its part of being human. I want to recommend this song, it's not a country song but you might want to share it with your viewers. Sung by Bonnie Raitt, I Can't Make You Love Me. Thanks a bunch.
This song conveys so much more than the most long-winded of Sunday sermons. It cuts right to the heart of exactly what the words written in red mean. Love this song so much! Great reaction.
I already listened to your reaction 2 mos ago, but it stands out as one of the most understanding reaction to this song I discovered this year in the midst ot some personal losses. Thank-you❤ subscribed!
Your face is very expressive, great reaction. Country music is about stories and strong vocals, bu they aren't all sad. Check out Chris Stapleton Tennessee Whiskey. Chris is very blues country and he has powerful vocals.
People are people. Love NEVER FAILS! Ronnie Dunn is simply the best! I sing this song at karaoke and always get great results. (1378) April 3, 2020 - UA-cam
If you take the Country journey, you MUST react to Chris Stapleton, Tennessee Whiskey, Live Austin City Limits, then same live performance another song called I Was Wrong, Live Austin City Limits. THEN Chris's tribute to James Brown Mans World. It was an impromptu performance but it was Awesome!
Chris is great, but he is more blues. A sad journey through country would be Tim McGraw's Dont Take the Girl, George Jones He Stopped Loving Her Today, Trace Adkins Arlington, Keith Whitley Dont Close Your Eyes, Blake Shelton Baby, Willie Nelson Angel Flying to Close to the Ground....so many more.
I think this was your best reaction video. It seemed like you were totally focused into the story from the start. It`s a beautiful song. Beautiful story, and a well made video that hits home for everyone, because everyone has someone they`ve lost that they miss. Beautiful emotional song. Great reaction.
I believe in the ending scene when the pages of the Bible flip and expose the photograph, this was old man Wrigley's message to the young man that he is with his wife and baby now and that everything will be okay. That this reunion was what he had prepared for all along.
The Lord truly has blessed his creation with the ability to stir people's emotions with music, good soul music. It's also such a blessing to hear songs that reflect on God and are so up lifting. I'm finding more and more truth in the words written in red 😇
Check out If zit Hadn’t Been For Love by the SteelDrivers (it’s more bluegrass, but the lead singer of that group is now a popular solo artist with songs like Tennessee Whiskey.)
For Country try "Stay" by Sugarland; "Whiskey Lullaby" by Brad Paisley & Allison Krauss.. U could also try Allison's "U say it best when U say nothing at all".. For Jazz/ R&B try Bobby Caldwell's "What U Won't Do For Love", I like the 6:16 live version.. W.G.
Brooks & Dunn is the top winning Country Duo! Check out more... Blue Neon If you see her/him (featuring Reba) My Maria Your gonna miss me when I’m gone
Not trying to be a dick here but George did not write Baby Blue and he generally records songs written by someone else and it was written by singer-songwriter Aaron Barker, who also wrote "Love Without End, Amen" and "Easy Come, Easy Go" that George recorded too.
I didn’t like nor listen to much country growing up but sometimes it’s all about timing. I found country when the time was right for me. I’m 46 now and got into country in 1993 when I was 21. I was driving and was just in the frame of mind to get lost in a song and the right one came on (All These Years by Sawyer Brown) and it stayed in my ears, my mind, and in my heart for days afterward until I had to buy the CD. That’s how it started for me. I love how country songs paint vivid pictures and that each one is its own story. Please review/react to Alyssa Lies by Jason Michael Carroll, All These Years by Sawyer Brown, Not That Different by Collin Raye, Till I Was A Daddy Too by Tracy Lawrence, Remember When by Alan Jackson, You’re Gonna Miss This by Trace Adkins, Just A Dream by Carrie Underwood, Don’t Take The Girl by Tim McGraw, Matches by Sammy Kershaw, I’m Not Strong Enough To Say No by Blackhawk, and I Still Believe In You by Vince Gill!!! That, my friend, would give you a nice look at how great country music was, especially in the 90s (the best decade for this genre). Country tells it like it is and if there’s any emotion that you’re dealing with, this genre will bottle those feelings up and make music that will hopefully help you. I still listen to Metallica, Phil Collins, The Platters, The Commodores, Skid Row, Josh Groban, Luis Miguel, Lara Fabian, etc., but I find as I get older that my comfort zone rests in country with its relatable stories.
To get some of the different sides of Brooks and Dunn, go for Boot Scootin' Boogie, Neon Moon, Ain't Nothing 'bout You, Every River, and Cowgirls Don't Cry (with Reba)
Other songs that will really pull at your heartstrings and tells a beautiful story is Mark Wills - Don't Laugh At Me (about bullying), and Blaine Larsen - How Do You Get That Lonely (about teenage suicide), Jason Michael Carroll's - Alyssa Lies (about child abuse) - make sure you watch the official videos while listening..
If you wanna listen to a song from Brooks and Dunn this is my favorite song before believe it’s called neon moon. You my friend narrated that song perfectly express yourself very well I gave you a thumbs up bro
At the end of you noticed the swing is moving & when the pages of the bible were flipping to where the picture was that was the sweet old man telling Ronnie Dunn he was with his wife & child & he was going to be ok
Off top of head, I like My Maria, Neon Moon, Cowgirls Don't Cry ft. Reba, Play Me Somethin' Contry by Brooks and Dunn. Sadly, they retired as a duo. No new music, but you can find decades of it. The best duo in country! PLEASE react to Blue or How Do I Live by LeAnn Rimes! She was 13 & 14 when she recorded those songs. Unchained Melody is awe dropping, too. She made that song a hit, which was originally recorded by The Righteous Brothers.
Then there's their cover of Hillbilly Bone, Friends in Low Places, All About That Bass, Blue Ain't Your Color, How Great Thou Art, My Church, End Of The Road, Helplessly Hoping, In The Blood, Thinking Out Loud/Let's Get It on, just to get you started.
Good story telling country songs would be: The Little Girl by John Michael Montgomery and Whiskey Lullaby by Brad Paisley and Allison Krauss and Don’t take the girl by Tim McGraw. Oh and anything by Dolly Parton
There are some other great recommendations here for other country. However, you did ask for more Brooks & Dunn recommendations so I think "Neon Moon" is a good choice. The vid does have 83 million view so there has to be something to it =) Of course I know there is something to it, its a great Brooks & Dunn tune!
Country music has a way of sucking you in and making you feel like you're part of the story. It will make you feel things you normally wouldn't feel. Great reaction bro! For the Metallica of country music listen to Chris Stapleton. He will have you questioning what music really is. You'll cry, laugh, even headbang to some of his songs. Also check out Brantley Gilbert. Kick it in the Sticks is a country song with a bit of a metal sound
I love how him and the older man formed a bond they didn't see color he told him things you know that he needed to know as he got older it was a respect thing white kids nowadays all they worry about being on their phones they don't want to learn a trade or anything i'm just about any country artist is good live by Martina McBride Carrie Underwood Brooks & Dunn Brothers Osborne Jason Aldean Luke combs Luke Bryant ✔️🥰🎵🎵🙋♀️
Great reaction, For a Country "staple" you should really check out some songs by Chris Stapleton...his live performances are most often even better than his audio tracks and he has written hundreds of songs for other artists, just to name a few off the top of my head, "I was wrong", "fire away", "death row", "Tennessee whiskey", "sometimes I cry", and "what are you listening to".
Loved the whole story! Talk about true emotion in a song! What a message for us - "finding more and more truth in the words written in red" - referencing the words of Christ in the Good Book in the New Testament.
Believe was a song later in their career. To get a feel for Brooks and Dunn and Country music do a reaction to "My Next Broken Heart" which was their second hit from their first album.
These friendships were common in the south growing up. I remember at 5 an old man used to bring momma buttermilk every Wednesday and momma made us drink it. I hated it and hated the man for bringing it! I hated that man and didn't know he was black til I was 38! I didn't hate the man cos he was black, it was all about the buttermilk! I learned a few years ago he was murdered in the 60s. I really felt bad about hating him. People are people but to this day, I hate buttermilk! I'm 65 now, but he was still a part of my life, and I still remember him.
Jamey Johnson , Lead Me Home and In Color. Craig Morgan The Father, My Son and the Holy Ghost. It is tribute to his son he lost. If u take the time to look this one up u gotta watch his live version on The Kelly Clarkson Show.
Believe by Brooks & Dunn is another fantastic song. You have to listen to Pentatonix Amazing Grace was just released yesterday it is positively amazing by far the most beautiful thing they have ever done if you're not familiar with Pentatonix you're going to be very pleasantly surprised please react to this soon
I get goose bumps everything I hear Believe by Brooks and Dunn. My suggestion of another Brooks and Dunn would be Boot Scootin' Boogie. By other artist would be Big & Rich's song Save A Cowboy. I can listen to this song over and over again... and have.... it's just beautiful... especially because it's a true story of Ronnie's life... Chills every time.
I get goosebumps when the breeze opens the Bible to the photograph. Porch swing swaying. It was like Mr Rigley was letting him know he was okay.
You know I know music really good and Brooks and Dunn are really good and this song is heartwarming.
“Finding more and more truth in the words written in red”.... love these lyrics as the words written in red refer to the actual words spoken by Jesus Christ in the Bible. Beautiful song indeed
Cobb shut up
A great Spiritual The Red letters of truth spoken by the I Am Lord

This song came along when my faith was kind of Shakey( the losses at 72 ytrs old) So thought of my Mom and her rock solid belief . We list her in 2006 when she was 95, my brother 64 and me 55 . Missed having her company and faith boosters, as portrayed by the song! ❤ Thanks for sensitive reaction

I think it was mentioned in an interview with Ronnie Dunn.
its about believing in the gospel
One of the most respectful reactions so far!!
I even felt you emotions! GOD BLESS YOU
Welcome to country music. It'll pull at your heart strings.
So glad you saw the beauty in this song. So many people only seem to see the sadness. I had this song played at my dad's funeral.
The story is true it is about his childhood.
Brooks & Dunn have been my favorite duo, all of their music is really awesome they're a great duo
I cry every time! Little fella lost his friend! Love story songs!
71 Summers on the books for me and I still can't listen to this without tearing up maybe those words in red are starting to sink in

There's another great song that would fit the times we're living in by Ronnie Dunn we all bleed red absolutely amazing

This song conveys so much more than the most long-winded of Sunday sermons. It cuts right to the heart of exactly what the words written in red mean. Love this song so much! Great reaction.
Old white woman who grew up with this. Dearly love seeing a young black guy crossing over! We all need to cross over more. Luv ya dahlin'. God bless
You’re a good man. Appreciate your sincere review. God bless (from a 74 y/o man in Kansas).
Johnny Cash is an OG of country he covered Nine inch Nails Hurt. Trent said it is now Johnny’s song.
When there is truth to the words, it has the power to bring even the toughest of men to their knees and react in humble silence .
Good for you young man 💪... glad you liked it... we all appreciate a great singer...
I already listened to your reaction 2 mos ago, but it stands out as one of the most understanding reaction to this song I discovered this year in the midst ot some personal losses. Thank-you❤ subscribed!
Believe is an incredible song. Unfortunately I lost a close friend last night. This video happened to come up on my feed. Tore me up!
B&D has always been a favorite and they won a boatload of awards as a duo. Ronnie Dunn's voice is beautiful and compliments the story. Nice reaction.
Your face is very expressive, great reaction. Country music is about stories and strong vocals, bu they aren't all sad. Check out Chris Stapleton Tennessee Whiskey. Chris is very blues country and he has powerful vocals.
Brooks and Dunn is the most successful Duo in Country music. Click on any of their songs and you will love it.
Reminds me of Chris Stapleton Daddy doesn't pray anymore... tear jerker

Lol I would just say listen to every Stapleton song you find😂
@@kbh4bratz
It appears, by his record sales, everyone would.
Chris' version of Tennessee Whiskey is great but George Jones' version beats it by a landslide.
Lynyrd Skynyrd’s LIVE CONCERT video of them performing their song “Red,White And Blue”. Crowder song “Red Letters😊” wado,Ann Benson.
I think this was your best reaction video. It seemed like you were totally focused into the story from the start. It`s a beautiful song. Beautiful story, and a well made video that hits home for everyone, because everyone has someone they`ve lost that they miss. Beautiful emotional song. Great reaction.
Country music is storytelling. You would enjoy the blend of culture in Blake Shelton’s Boys Round Here..
I believe in the ending scene when the pages of the Bible flip and expose the photograph, this was old man Wrigley's message to the young man that he is with his wife and baby now and that everything will be okay. That this reunion was what he had prepared for all along.

One of the best songs ever
This is 1 of the few song that gets me in the feels. 21 Years-Tobymac is another 1.
Beautiful song

New sub. Late to the party..this came up in my feed and I had to watch it. Awesome reaction. Thank you.
Stay by Sugarland. One of my favorite songs
For Country try "Stay" by Sugarland; "Whiskey Lullaby" by Brad Paisley & Allison Krauss.. U could
also try Allison's "U say it best when U say nothing at all"..
For Jazz/ R&B try Bobby Caldwell's "What U Won't Do For Love", I like the 6:16 live version.. W.G.
Always make me cry...True story he wrote
Thank you my Brother
Brooks & Dunn is the top winning Country Duo! Check out more...
Blue Neon
If you see her/him (featuring Reba)
My Maria
Your gonna miss me when I’m gone
"If You're Reading This", by Tim McGraw.
Baby Blue by George Strait. He wrote it for his little girl who was killed in a car wreck.
Not trying to be a dick here but George did not write Baby Blue and he generally records songs written by someone else and it was written by singer-songwriter Aaron Barker, who also wrote "Love Without End, Amen" and "Easy Come, Easy Go" that George recorded too.

Broke my heart. Very positive however. He left his mark on this young man
Try and do a reaction to “Go Rest High on That Mountain - Vince Gill” It is a song about his brother.
It's also about Keith Whitley. First verse specifically
It started about Keith Whitley. His brother died before he finished it. So the 2nd part is about his brother!
To get some of the different sides of Brooks and Dunn, go for Boot Scootin' Boogie, Neon Moon, Ain't Nothing 'bout You, Every River, and Cowgirls Don't Cry (with Reba)
Red Dirt Road is also a great song!
Pentatonix sound of silence and hallelujah and amazing grace and daft punk and bohemian Rhapsody
Country music often have interesting stories
This was a true story in his life,
A famous musician once said that Country music was 3 chords and the truth. Yup!
Brooks and Dunn "Only in America" - live versions.
whiskey lullaby , is a heart tugger too.
Can you imagine all the wisdom Brooks learned from Ole Man Wrigley?
you must hear vince gill sing " go rest high on the mountain. You won't regret it.
As important today as it was when first released. As important as it'd be 40-60 yrs. ago.

I get goose bumps everything I hear Believe by Brooks and Dunn. My suggestion of another Brooks and Dunn would be Boot Scootin' Boogie. By other artist would be Big & Rich's song Save A Cowboy. Merl Haggard's Fighting Side of Me and finally Hank Williams Jr's All My Rowdy Friends. Let me know what you think. Have a great day.
Please react to Almost Home by Craig Morgan. Great story.
