- This week we drive all the way to Houston to head to the Children’s Museum, where we spend the afternoon exploring and having a lot of fun! We head to some of the outdoor exhibits, and find snow in Texas! After the kids are all tired and hungry from all the exploring, we surprise them by announcing that we’re going to the Rainforest Cafe for supper. We drive back to Galveston to one of the best Rainforest Cafe experiences we’ve ever had! The food was great with a good selection of gluten free, and watching the kids reactions to the “thunderstorm” every half hour was priceless. At the end of the meal, we had one more surprise: we took the kids on the river adventure ride! It was fun, until we all saw the waterfall ahead and thought we were gonna get soaked! But the water parted just in time for us to pass through 😅.
After all that adventuring, we had several sick days cooped up on the bus, which was ok, because the weather outside was unpleasant for all of those days and we would have been inside anyway. As we began to heal from the sickness, Sabrina checks on the ICECO cooler to see how it handled all the rain that had come, and then everyone heads to the beach for a gentle walk at sunset.

I love the RainForest Cafe in Galveston. I think it's great they built an indoor boat ride. So many amusement parks don't even bother other than Disney. I know it's a bit pricey, but it's so worth it for me.
I am also always on the lookout for a *good* GF bun. It's always noteworthy! 😁❤️

We've never been to a Rainforest Cafe. It looks neat, we may have to check one out. I have to know, did the snow feel real? 😂
It felt real, but old, like end of the season snow, that’s melted and refrozen and been walked on a lot! Lol
We have one here. In fact I’m going there next week for my birthday. One of my favorite places. We go to one of their other restaurants in Florida when we visit it’s called T. rex. It’s Dino’s
I didn’t know they had a dinosaur one, that’s so cool! We will have to check it out next time we’re in Florida!

This was an awesome video...the Children's Museum Houston and the Rainforest cafe.
At the museum, the kids were excited to see the snow. Not quite like the snow in Alberta, Canada (those older videos with y'all in the snow gives me the shivers 🥶) but that's what you are used to. There was lots of entertaining and educational/scientific things to see/do.
Interesting story about Rebecca when at age 6 going to the Rainforest cafe for her birthday.
The cafe looks like it is a small part of the experience! With all the snakes, monkeys, elephants, and all the greenery (like you're in a jungle) it's almost like you're there to see all the other stuff and then you get hungry and have a meal. Would be amazing eating with everything around you, including the lightning. The adventure ride was cool, though poor Dad was a bit scared; he had to hold on to Jesse. And Toby mentioned about a heart attack.
About that sweater with the hole Michael, don't worry. It will let the air in to cool you down. Oh yeah, it's winter there I forgot. Well, Levi can use the air.
A quick walk on the beach with the stunning sunset. And bravo Alex for picking up the plastic which the ocean does not want. ✔

U guys should bring the kids up to Cedar Point in June or July when its hot out . They would have a blast . It's in Sandusky Ohio . They also have a water park n camping so it's a win win .. let me know if plan on coming I would love to come do lunch n meet Yall . Love Ya'll ❤️ 😍 💖
We’ve actually been to Cedar Point! But that was back when we only had ONE kid!!! Adri was 11 months old, she still has the little stuffed monkey we bought for her there!!
