Not only do I absolutely love all your designs and REALLY wonderful tips...I adore your wit, humor, and chatter. All these combined makes me want to stay glued to your videos just for the shear joy they bring.
Wow Christine you’ve certainly got some great ideas I love your videos and they never go too long. You are really easy to listen to with a great sense of humour. keep on crafting.
First of all thank you so much for thinking of those of us with Epileptic fits and other fits which I have. It makes a change to hear people thinking of us. Now on to the cards I absolutely love them both but my heart goes to the one with the butterfly. I love your videos. I have ME and have to rest a lot so watch all your videos. They are all great. Thank you Christine xxxx
I really liked your brief description (45 seconds in) of Clean and Simple meets Mixed Media Christine. Lovely cards. Great idea with gilding the charm. I've been really enjoying making my own stencils too.
How lovely to see mixed media tags without grunge which seems to have taken over mixed media to a large extent. Beautiful colours, so effective. Thank you Christine :)
Puff, puff, catching up after a frantic weekend! And you've worked your layering magic again. Totes Epic! as my Grandies would say! So many tip, tricks and layers to create a stunning result. Your teaching skills are next level Chris - thanks for all the time you spend sharing your knowledge with wit and charm.
If you have a metal rod or skewer you can dampen the ribbon and wrap it around the metal skewer and place in a low temp oven until dry. I'm going to try it with my heat gun--that should work. Used to make hair ribbons for my daughter this way. Beautiful cards as always!
A divine new Distress Oxide colour which I must add to my collection. I have a few of the transluscent embossing powders and I've never used them, the way you did on this elegant and classy card. As always, inspiring and enjoyable to watch. TFS
Ooh this must be a special folder not sold individually. I've seen the sizxix one and wasn't sure about the sizing. But having seen this I think I will buy the sizzix one as its more delicate. The cards are both amazing, Christine and the time you take to get it just right shows. Have great great week❤
Once again we learn so much from you! I’ve never been into mixed media but loving your ideas behind this beautiful card and would certainly have a go using your clean and simple method. Thank you and take care.
Hi. What a winner of a card and video, thank you so much for sharing them. That little butterfly is darling and those tiny charms are so cute, with the ribbon they just finish tha card off beautifully. I made my own sticky mat using a clear plastic grid sheet that was for my stamping platform. I'd bought a packet of them so I took one and used a large Zig two-way marker on it and let it dry to become a tacky mat. Thanks again and have a lovely day.
Excuse a 2nd comment, much later! Just got brave & embarking on some luggage label tags which are, following your super tutorials, turning out rather well. I didn't have any tag dies so got out my nesting rectangles, cutting the top corners by running it through again using the corner of a large nesting square die as like you I'm fussy about bevelled edges. This gives a large range of finished tag sizes.
Thank you Christine. What you have done with that tag is amazing. I didnt think i would learn so many different techniques when i started clean and simple. It is not so simple, buu so gorgeous and full of interest. Thanks for showing me how to change silver to gold. You are a wealth of good ideas.
Love the tags and all the tidbits and ideas. I especially liked the chicken wire die and the tiny Hello die that appeared on your post title. Did the Hello die come from Gummiapan as well? Oh dear, I must visit Gummiapan again. LOL
I love when you have a play as you come up with the most unique looking looks! How fun and beautiful are all of these. Yes, you got me loving gilding wax and flakes. LOL I even found me a "scoochie' (sp) to tamp my flakes down and then burnish. I'm going to have to be careful watching you because you will have me wanting all the things! LOL Love today's video and love the smiles you bring to my face. Hugs, Brenda
Yay, more mixed media. Very thoughtful to mention thoughts on epilepsy. I have relatives w/ the condition that I often think before I do something w/ or for them. Beautiful creations always, so classy and elegant. Thanks so much for all that you do and share.
What a great process , love your layering and the addition of textures... I like you have taken to using my Gilding Wax and Flakes over this last period. Thanks for your inspiration Chris and for the heads up about the Gummiapan Advent Calendar for 2023. ☺️
I love this idea, I'm always wondering how to make tags look good on cards and you have shown me! I especially love the last one - the darker blue and gold are glorious and remind me of lapis lazuli. I must see what I've got that's similar! Thanks Chris, love Nicola x
The title of the video sums it up perfectly (of course) usually one wouldn't put CAS and mixed media in the same sentence. Love the look but I find it doesn't sell well. On tags it might, more to add to the try list, limiting the colour pallet is key as you've said before. I noticed the flickering (the other day) too but I can just about put up with anything to listen to your fabulous tips and entertainment a plenty. I did discover by chance that viewers can zoom in and out, that did help. Not that I've needed it much as your watch is behaving😆 have you given it a stern talking to?🤣 Exx
I'd like to know what causes the flickering when I zoom. If there has been the odd bit I have left it, but in the film I did the other day it was present for a long time which is why I scrapped it. I'm delighted that you find the odd tip or two useful. Thanks so much 😊 whether the watch behaves itself or not is totally random🤣🤣🤣
I've noticed on other UA-camrs videos that if there is a lot of white in the main frame, there can be flickering. White cutting plates, white cutting board, sheet of white card. I'm not sure if that could be your problem (light refraction🙄), you're far more tech savvy than me.
Thank you, this is really helpful and makes total sense to me. If I hold up a card or zoom into one, that is exactly what happens... lots of white, and the flickering occurs. Thanks so much. I'll have to watch out for that. Much appreciated! ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much Christine, I really really enjoyed watching you create this stunning and gorgeous card. You always inspire me too . And I’m definitely going to try this too. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
Hi Chris, I love watching your videos as I always learn new techniques. One question... when you apply guilding flakes, are you using a sponge to tap them down, and burnish them? Thank you! ❤
Another beautiful card Christine. Do you know I have never made a swatch sheet for my inks! I do like yours. Did you make that yourself with the hearts or is it a print out that I can find to do also? Thank you Christine.
I made it in Word. You need to print your own on the specific card that you are going to use as the inks vary in shade according to the surfaces you are using. I need to make another as I've just received the latest colour and there's no space for it!!! 😊
@@Chrissieannie Thank you Christine....I'll give it a go! Oh gosh I will probably need 2 to 3 sheets as I believe I have every D.O!! I'm a better buyer than I am crafter🤣
I love the bunny on the first card. I couldn't quite understand the company you mentioned it was from. I'd love that for baby cards ... what company is that?
I so enjoy you work Christine I love to listen to you as you plan along with so many great ideas..you always come up with a fabulous card! May I ask a question? I fell in love with gummypan dies I have tried to find out if they ship to individuals in the USA but just can’t find any information on that thought maybe you would know..I have been on the website but no info.
They ship worldwide. If you go to the bottom of their website page there is the option to translate it into English. Just click that English tab. You just pop the items you want into your basket as usual and select your country at checkout. It's fairly straightforward, but should you have any problems their customer service is excellent and their English is impeccable.

Really interesting. Have gilding flakes I have never used. Got tip about using cut out to position your butterfly die before cutting.

I noticed the flickering started at the end of the easy DIY Letterpress video when you zoomed in for a close-up
It is a real concern for me, I don't know what causes it, but the video I scrapped was bad. Sorry I'm not very techy! 😟

Thank you again for a great technique! I’m going to try this using espresso brown on vanilla card. Hope it turns out as stunning as yours❣️

What is the scoochie equivalent to in the US?
It's a bit like a dish sponge or rub it scrub it!

I think both powders are used similarly
