I had decided a while back that I could not afford another system tool. I already have the Glimmer system which is quite expensive to continue updating the plates and foil! Thank you for sharing this information with us! This makes the purchase of the Betterpress very appealing to me❣️
I love how you got out the calipers!!! I was wondering what the difference in thickness was. Thank you for showing us how it would work with hot foil plates. I do like your idea of using the tim holt sticky sheet to hold your paper! I do not have a Betterpress yet, but it is looking more and more interesting all the time.
I love tools, hence the Calpers. I can not take credit for the sticky grid idea, I saw it on YT. I enjoy trying new things so I bought the BetterPress. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for watching. I was surprised that the Hot Foil plate was thicker. I went into this thinking that that letter press plate would be the thickest. I'm really not sure why they tell you not to use them to letterpress. Try this at your own risk. I own extras for my BetterPress and am willing to sacrifice them in the name of discovery!
Great idea! Genius! I don’t have a better press, but I do have a glimmer foil machine and I wonder if you can use hot foil plates as better press in the glimmer foil machine? Joyce 😊
Thank for watching! Someone on YT has tired that, don't remember who sorry. So I believe you can. The problem that I saw was being able to line things up since the Glimmer's top plate does not have a grid that aligns with the heating surface.
I haven’t invested in the glimmer or better press system. I just don’t like the idea of having to purchase different plates for each different system. I’m sure Spellbinders doesn’t want people to know that they can in fact do this, or they would have marketed it differently. That’s another reason for me to avoid buying it. It makes me feel ripped off. ☹️
“They say no, I say yes.” I love it. Thanks for sharing!
You are so welcome! I always try things they say you shouldn't. Not always with great results. But this worked for me.
Using the Sizzix sticky mat is genius! I’ll definitely try it out 👍
Thank you! It was not my original idea, don't remember who showed it here on UA-cam.

So happy I could be of help. Thanks for watching.

I like how you showed measurements and want to try this.

Thank you! Bless you.
You are welcome. I see so many people saying you can't but I knew I could. TFW.
Thanks for the demo.
You are welcome. Thanks for watching!

I have run hot foil plates through the Betterpress. You just need to be careful how many shims you use.
Thanks for sharing and watching!

Thanks for watching. To buy or not to buy is a personal decision for sure. I like to try new things and am fortunate to be able to do so.
